There are mainly 6 kinds of heroes in the Legends of Xian: versatile hero, archer hero, infantry hero, cavalry hero, ranger hero, artillery hero, etc. it has 5 kinds of  warriors according the above varieties: artillery, cavalry, infantry, archer, ranger. Though heroes can have any kind of warriors, it is the most effective way that the heroes have their own relative warriors, just liking the following lists:

Versatile hero: may have any kind of warriors
Cavalry hero: good at commanding cavalry
Infantry hero: good at commanding infantry
Archer hero: good at commanding archer
Ranger hero:  good at commanding ranger
Artillery hero:  good at commanding artillery

It is far from enough that you only understand the collocation of different arms, you need to know the restraint relationships among them if you want to be an expert in the Legends of Xian. In the system of arms in the Legends of Xian, there are some restraint factors among different arms. For example, the Ranger restrains the artillery, the infantry the master and the archer, the artillery cavalry, etc. Besides, you are required to collocate different arms well, just like the artillery plus the infantry. You had better use the strong life of the infantry to withstand the enemy’assualt and cover the artillery, who can develop himself much better with him.

The tables of the restraint for warriors:
Cavalry: take the advantage of quick assault to break the enemy’ defense, be good at restraining archer, infantry, be restrained by ranger and artillery.

Infantry: take the advantage of strong defense to stop the enemy’assualt, be good at restraining ranger, archer, be restrained by cavalry and artillery.

Archer: take the advantage of quick long-range attacks to quickly eliminate the enemy, be good at restraining ranger, artillery, be restrained by infantry, artillery.

Artillery: take the advantage of super-long-range attacks to quickly eliminate the enemy, be good at restraining infantry, cavalry, be restrained by archer, ranger.

Ranger: take the advantage of quick move to break the enemy’ defense, be good at restraining cavalry, artillery, be restrained by infantry, archer.

Notice: the restraint for long-range and close combating arms is not simply the restraint of one-on- one, but the reflection to the damage of the long-range arms to the close-combating arms .

The basic characteristics of infantry: the damage would be reduced by 30% when infantry is under defense(That is if the infantry didn’t move in the last round ,the damage would be reduced by 30% in this round).

The basic characteristics of cavalry: the damage of cavalry’assualt and attack would be double(if the cavalry moved followed by attacking in this round, the damage of the cavalry’attack would be double.).

The basic characteristics of archer and artillery: the damage of the archer and artillery outside the attacks or near the enemy would be half (the range of attack for archer and artillery is 2-12 and under this range the enemy would be fully damaged by the long-range attack, but if the aim to archer and artillery is over 12 or near them, the damage would be reduced by half.).
