You quietly set your traps, the results are devastating, and the *BOOM* can be heard from miles away. Your technological traps make enemies weak in the knees because they have the power to tear monster flesh into bits. With these deadly devices, you can be sure that your name is known in Uld!
But that’s not all. You can always fall back on your sophisticated fire traps: kill ‘em and grill ‘em, right? And to be even nastier, why not take out the old poison grenades and light up the sky with a poison-green flourish? That’ll make you and everything in the vicinity quite noxious.

Using ingenious traps, Grenadiers can ensnare enemies and confuse them to such an extent that they start to attack themselves. They also fire powerful homemade grenades which annihilate everything in their path that has not run for cover.

Here’s a short run-down on the Gadgeteer – Grenadier:

  • Every time you level up, you will receive two skill points, which you can distribute as you see fit
  • Square skill symbols represent active skills
  • Circular skill symbols represent passive skills
  • Some skills can be compounded, such as Flashbang (first row, first skill). The consecutive skill directly underneath is Maddening Flashbang. To use Maddening Flashbang, you must have already invested at least one skill point in Flashbang. Additionally, you must be at Skill Tier 13 or higher!
  • Skill Tiers (right-hand green bar): In order to activate the lower-down skills, you must first have invested skill points here.
  • All skill points invested in Skill Tiers count towards all three Gadgeteer skill trees! For example, if you invest 13 skill points in your Skill Tiers as a Grenadier, the Marksman and Tinkerer skill trees will also be at Skill Tier 13!

As a Gadgeteer, you eat clumsy little monsters for breakfast, but why not try out a funny-looking yet very effective skill on them instead? *DAMN!* With the Bauble Trap, you can prove once and for all that not everything that looks funny is funny! Use your booby traps and fire traps *Yeah! *… “Fire at will” could be your motto. As you may have already guessed, the Gadgeteer is one of those funny characters whose inventiveness helps them achieve high esteem in Uld. But are they really as funny as they appear at first glance? Not at all – as you will soon see.

Flashbang

Flashbang causes opponents within range to go blind and become disoriented, making it more difficult for them to strike you.

 

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect, Rank 1:

  • 30% lower attack
  • Mana cost: 3
  • Duration: 5 seconds

Effect, Rank 6:

  • 50% lower attack
  • Mana cost: 8
  • Duration: 12 seconds

Maddening Flashbang – [consecutive skill]
Requires: “Flashbang”, at least skill tier 13


An irritant added to the Flashbang device causes opponents to attack one other.

 

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect, Rank 1:

  • 10% chance of opponents temporarily going mad
  • 5 second duration of madness
  • +5% mana cost to Flashbang

Effect, Rank 6:

  • 20% chance of opponents temporarily going mad
  • 10 second duration of madness
  • +30% mana cost to Flashbang

Further inhibits the attack of all affected opponents.

  • Flashbang is 25% more effective in reducing attack.
  • +23% mana cost to Flashbang

The bauble draws the attention of nearby enemies to itself.

The Bauble Trap gains the ability to cause damage to its attackers.

  • 10% of damage reflected
  • +5% mana cost to Bauble Trap

Effect, Rank 6:

  • 75% of damage reflected
  • +15% mana cost to Bauble Trap

Noxious Grenade


A stinking cloud of smoke poisons nearby enemies and makes it difficult for them to breathe.

 

Maximum possible skill points: 8
Effect, Rank 1:

  • 40% chance of poisoning per second
  • 4 second duration of poison effect
  • 5% additional damage through poison
  • Mana cost: 2
  • Cooldown: 0.5 seconds.

Effect, Rank 8:

  • 70% chance of poisoning per second
  • 5 second duration of poison effect
  • 25% additional damage through poison
  • Mana cost: 7
  • Cooldown: 0.5 seconds

Noxious Shrapnel – [consecutive skill]
Requires: “Noxious Grenade”, at least skill tier 13


Upon impact, the Noxious Grenade can shoot out poisonous tendrils which damage nearby opponents.

 

Maximum possible skill points: 8

  • 50% chance of tendrils
  • 5 tenrdils
  • +5% mana cost to Noxious Grenade
  • 3-4 poison damage

Effect, Rank 8:

  • 67% chance of tendrils
  • 12 tendrils

An iron man can stand up to even the fiercest attacks! With the Body of Steel skill in your back of tricks, you will be feared throughout Uld. Just be careful not to brag to the skyship captain about your grenades… He wouldn’t be too happy if he knew how much explosive material you were bringing on board.

The only question remaining is whether you can keep your cool with explosions detonating all around you – I hope you like the smell of gunpowder and sulphur.
