Facebook GodsWar Online Zodiac System Guide

How-To: Using the zodiac system

After browsing through the forums I found a few instances of people not knowing quite how the zodiac system works.  So, without further ado, here is a how-to on the zodiac system.

Attack Zodiacs

Attack zodiacs are very simple.  Simply choose the skill of your liking from your skillbook (S) and click and drag it into the appropriate box.

If you put the skill into the left, Attack Skill Improvement, then the attack power to the skill is increased by a certain percentage depending on the level of the box.  For example, if you were to put spear hit 2 inside of a level five zodiac box (which adds 10%), then your skill would do 190% damage plus a base of 1000 instead of 180% damage and a base of 1000.

If you choose to put your skill into the right side, Attack Skill Training, then the base attack power of the skill goes up.  For example, if you were to put Chip Blast 2 in a level 6 box (which adds 600 damage) then you would do 70% damage and a base of 1020 instead of 70% damage and a base of 420.

Defense Zodiacs

Defensive zodiacs are where I see the most confusion among my fellow players.  What you do is click the button telling you to select a skill, then click and drag it over into the boxes to the left of the button.

If you put the skill into a Defensive skill training slot, then the skill will do less base damage to you than it normally would.  For example, if I had stab 2 in a level 2 zodiac (which decreases attack power by 200) then the attack would do 120% physical damage and 500 base damage instead of 120% physical damage and 700 damage.

If you put a skill into a Improve defensive skill slot, then the % would go down according to the zodiac level. For example, if I had spear hit 2 in a level three zodiac (which reduces the % by 6) then it would do 174% physical attack power and 1000 damage instead of 180% physical attack power and 1000 damage.

Hopefully this cleared up any questions you might have had about the zodiac system, but If you’re still confused even after reading the post, please feel free to pm me.

Zodiac System Explained

From here, I’ll post all of my experience regarding the Zodiac System

`~-~`~-~`~-~`~-~`

Accumulated Experience and Talent Expertise Points System

This system will allow you to have an extra Eperience Points and Talent Expertise Points.
You can accumulate this extra points by defeating monsters.
– You can only get extra points by killing monsters limits only to 10 levels below your current level
– let’s say your character is level 20, you can only get extra points from level 10 monsters and above

– You may also get acc. exp and talent upon submission of some completed quest. (I’ve already accumulated 30 Talent EXP after each submitted Sudden Assault and Warm Up Quests… so 6×30 = 180 Accumulated Talent EXP… almost equivalent to 2 Talent Points)

Press this to get all the extra accumulated experience
Press this to upgrade using by energy or by gold

Upgrade Note :
You must meet the requirement before you can upgrade your accumulated experience and telent expertise points.

Every upgrade increase your accumulated experience and talent expertise points to 1%

Acc. EXP: is the actual Experience Points you will recieve
Acc. Talent EXP: is the actual Talent Expertise Points you will recieve

`~-~`~-~`~-~`~-~`

Maximum Accumulated Experience and Talent Expertise Points Chart

NOTES :
Accumulated Experience Ratio is 1:1 meaning 1 Acc. EXP = 1 Experience Point
Accumulated Experience Ratio is 100:1 meaning 100 Acc. Talent Exp = 1 Talent/Skill Point

Grade 1
Max Acc. EXP – 3000.24
Max Acc. Talent – ???

Grade 2
Max Acc. EXP – 6000.72
Max Acc. Talent – 4000.36

Grade 3
Max Acc. EXP – 20000 [novanaga]
Max Acc. Talent – ???

Zodiac Energies you can possibly get if you play straight 24 Hours
(You can get zodiac energies every 5 minutes)

Guide Source : http://gw.igg.com/event/journals.php?aid=441

NOTE : CALCULATIONS BELOW ARE STILL UNDER OBSERVATION
NOTE 2 : I’ve found out that Zodiac Energies distribution is not appropriate to what’s in the said source. As to what I’ve noticed for a few hours playing, Gr.1 = 10, Gr.2 = 11, and Gr.3 = 13 Zodiac Energies… It still confuses me so I’ll still put the calculations bwlow for future reference.
CONFIRMED : Zodiac Energy distribution refreshes everyday starting 00:01. Your Zodiac Energy distribution will start after your first login.

Calculations below are calculated per grade if you play 24 Hours straight.

Grade 1 Zodiac – 10 ZE, 1 ZE per 5 minutes
5 Hours Gameplay = 600 ZE
5 Hours + Gameplay = 228 ZE
——————————–
828 Zodiac Energies

Grade 2 Zodiac – 11 ZE, 2 ZE per 5 minutes
5 Hours Gameplay = 660 ZE
5 Hours + Gameplay = 456 ZE
——————————–
1116 Zodiac Energies

Grade 3 Zodiac – 12 ZE, 3 ZE per 5 minutes
5 Hours Gameplay = 720 ZE
5 Hours + Gameplay = 684 ZE
——————————–
1404 Zodiac Energies

Constellation Gems / Training Skill Slot

According to my understanding with this;

Quote:

3. Constellation Gems
There are two ways to unlock a gem: Using energy or gold.
Move the mouse over the gem button to see the requirement for unlocking and upgrade. The gems grade is limited by the grade of the constellation, which means the gems max grade must be equal to the grade of the constellation. (For instance, the character grade is level 3, so the gem grade can only level up to 3.) Players can use gold or energy to upgrade, and their sale of EXP and talent points will increase.
Notice: Once the gems are upgraded, the constellation attributes bonus will exist forever.

Those are the unlocked slots for the skills you want to enhance/train

but it says “Using energy or gold.” so it’s a bit confusing this time…

I therefor conclude that the Grade of the Gem is the Level of the skill slot for the skills you enhance/train and the Constellation Gems are the unlocked skill slot.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

If i change my zodiac sign , will grade return to 1 ?? ~ from anu2009

Quote:

No, only the Zodiac will change, I’m still finding some information of what those Zodiac affects the character. I’ve tested it with my dummy character and it successfully changed my Zodiac from Aries to Aquarius and the grade stays the same. Remember that you can only change Zodiac once per month. I forgot to take screenshot of my before I change, but maybe this screenshot will prove it somehow

At the screenshot, you can see the current grade of my zodiac and still stays the same. as of the second screenshot, I haven’t upgrade yet the “GEMS” or the slot so I have no idea if it resets or not.

If i change skills in training slot with other skill then the older skill will still have same zodiac skill lvl or it will return to 1/20? from anu2009

Quote:

You can always change the skill whenever you want, the only thing that upgrades is the what they call “GEM” or the slot. It will not return to 1/20 whenever you change skills.

If Zodiac was changed, are there any reset of Grade of Zodiac or Levels of each Constellation Gem “Skill Slots” in Training Tab? from anu2009

Quote:

No, there will be no reset or changes will happen.

what the function of EFFECT UPGRADE? from ch15z2

Quote:

Every upgrade increase your accumulated experience and talent expertise points to 1%

how to do it:

Press this to get all the extra accumulated experience
Press this to upgrade using by energy or by gold

Upgrade Note :
You must meet the requirement before you can upgrade your accumulated experience and telent expertise points.

and of course the requirements is very self explanatory… but to make it clear what the requirements are… There are 2 options (Using Zodiac Energy or Gold) of what to use to upgrade your Accumulated EXP and Talent EXP first is by using Zodiac Energy

here’s an image showing the first required element before you can upgrade your accumulated exp and talent exp or the “EFFECT UPGRADE” using your zodiac energies.

The red encircled one is your current ” zodiac energy / max limit ” … if that meet the requirements you can  now click the to upgrade it.

The second option is by using your Gold not E-Golds

here’s an image of where you can see your current gold, press “B” to put up your Bag and look for this

Again, look for this requirements, if you see that your Gold is enough, you can  now click the to upgrade it.

how will the skills on the slots level up? from jecq2x

Quote:

Just click on the slot you want to upgrade. Requirements must meet before you can upgrade them.

Zodiac Constellation

PS : Images are outdated(and also ugly -might change them later), they changed a little.
Before the forum get crowded of questions, I decided to make a guide about this new system.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

This is the main window. You can see your zodiac level and your amount of zodiac energy here.

The higher zodiac level, the higher energy gained overtime.
Apparently, there is no difference between all the zodiacs. We will see later…
Zodiac Level 1 (Lv010) – Max Energy : 1000 – Cost to next level : 500 energy  –  Gain 10 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 1 energy for the rest of the day.
Zodiac Level 2 (Lv025) – Max Energy : 3000 – Cost to next level : 2000 energy  –  Gain 11 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 2 energy for the rest of the day.
Zodiac Level 3 (Lv040) – Max Energy : 8000 – Cost to next level : 4000 energy  –  Gain 12 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 3 energy for the rest of the day.
Zodiac Level 4 (Lv060) – Max Energy : 20000 – Cost to next level : 8000 energy  –  Gain 15 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 3 energy for the rest of the day.
Zodiac Level 5 (Lv082) – Max Energy : 28000 – Cost to next level : 20000 energy  –  Gain 18 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 3 energy for the rest of the day.
Zodiac Level 6 (Lv094) – Max Energy : 42000 – Cost to next level : 30000 energy  –  Gain 20 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 3 energy for the rest of the day.
Zodiac Level 7 (Lv103) – Max Energy : 60000 – Cost to next level : 44000 energy  –  Gain 23 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 3 energy for the rest of the day.
Zodiac Level 8 (Lv108) – Max Energy : 80000 – Cost to next level : 65000 energy  –  Gain 26 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 3 energy for the rest of the day.
Zodiac Level 9 (Lv113) – Max Energy : 100000 – Cost to next level : 85000 energy  –  Gain 30 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 4 energy for the rest of the day.
Zodiac Level 10 (Lv113)- Max Energy : 125000 – Cost to next level : 0 energy  –  Gain 30 energy for 0-180 minutes, gain 4 energy for the rest of the day.

When you kill monster, you get Accumulated EXP and TP-EXP.

Grade 5 : Max EXP (240000.00) and Max TPexp (20000.00) – Max 5% gain from the Accumulated EXP and TPexp system. Zodiac must be level 5.

Grade 10 : Max EXP (10000000.00) and Max TPexp (100000.00) – Max 10% gain from the Accumulated EXP and TPexp system. Zodiac must be level 10.
