Genshin Impact Jean Support Healer Build Guide

by 2Board

PSA #1: Supports are there to help make the DPS’ job a “breeze,” and healers are just basically HM slaves. They either do their job or get benched into the Pokemon PC

PSA #2: Both Jean’s abilities scale with ATK (YES EVEN HER HEAL). She may look like nice gust of wind blowing by, but be careful because silent ninja farts are deadly (and so is she)

Elemental Skill – Gale Blade

Jean apparently never got proper sword training, because she uses her sword like a fencing saber and just stabs the enemy

There are two ways to use her E:

  1. Tapping E will just do a fast thrust that launches enemies back
  2. Holding E will pick up nearby enemies and let you choose where you want to launch them

IMPORTANT TIP: If you hold E and release it while looking up, the enemies will not only take anemo damage from the skill, but also fall damage. THIS SKILL IS EXTREMELY GOOD AT CHEESING SMALLER MOBS BY SPARTA KICKING THEM OFF CLIFFS/DROWNING THEM IN WATER

Elemental Burst – Dandelion Breeze

Jean releases a gust of wind that creates a circle around her. I guess it must smell nice because all her party members heal, and the one who’s on the field get additional regen

Quick breakdown:

  1. Activating E will give a burst of heal to your team and also do damage to nearby enemies
  2. Enemies who enter or leave the circle take damage (really funny PSA about this below!)
  3. The character that is currently out will gain additional health regeneration until the circle goes away

PSA #3: This tip is entirely useless but hilarious. After you activate Jean’s Q, you can run to the edge of the circle and hold E to pick up enemies. Then, you can LITERALLY MOVE THEM IN AND OUT OF THE CIRCLE TO KEEP HURTING THEM. You can literally make the “why are you hitting yourself” joke with Jean

Passive Talent – Wind Companion

This is her passive. It’s what lets her be a consistent healer since dealing damage just heals your team. It’s a 2 for 1 bargain. THIS IS THE BREAD AND BUTTER OF HER HEAL

WEAPON #1 (Recommended for massive heals and damage): Aquila Favonia

How do I get it D: ? – It’s time to roll boys (gacha)

Has base Physical DMG scaling and basically a buff to both your damage and heal output (takes Jean’s healing to another level)

WEAPON #2 (Recommended for early combat medic): Skyrider Sword

How do I get it D: ? – Go slap a few monsters and steal their chests, or it’s time to roll boys (gacha)

Has base Energy Recharge scaling and allows Jean to quickly maneuver around while the ultimate is active to heal faster

Most of the time, you won’t actually be needing to use your Q to heal, so feel free to just let loose and use it to nuke some stinky enemies

PSA #4: The Flute, Skyward Blade, Prototype Rancour, and Fillet Blade are extremely good placeholders for Jean. If you have R2+ on any of these, they will do you just fine. Skyward Sword is just a baby version of what Skyward Blade lets you do

ARTIFACT #1 (Recommended for massive healing): Gladiator’s Finale

How do I get it D: ? – Any World Boss (40 Resin per run)

Boost in ATK and normal attack just makes Jean’s passive overtuned. Half the time you’ll never really see yourself needing to use Q for healing, but rather damage, because of her passive

ARTIFACT #2 (Recommended for support): Noblesse Oblige

How do I get it D: ? – Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern Domain (AR 35 locked, 20 Resin per run)

Although her ultimate only does one main output of damage, it’s more for just bugging the team’s overall ATK%

PSA #5: The Exile and Instructor sets are placeholders for support Jean, while Martial Artist and Viridescent Venerer sets are great for a healer/support hybrid Jean! Her only struggle is her Q’s high energy cost (80), so getting early energy regeneration artifacts can help a ton!

PSA #6: You can actually run Jean DPS with this build as well. Aquila Favonia for weapon and Gladiator’s Finale for artifact will be more than enough to have her roll some heads. Focus on ATK% for the main stat, and try to get CRIT % > CRIT DMG > ATK or Elemental Mastery for substats. If you’re struggling to generate energy, having Elemental Recharge instead of ATK/EM can help a lot!
