Hello welcome to another guide by Zyrus!

Today we are going to review gears that a mage who focuses on intermediate magic needs. (I am purposefully leaving out hailstorm and fusion since it is an entirely different setup).

Ok for all gears the method follows this order:

Buy/smith/tailor gear > Reforge > Upgrade (if weapon) > Enchant

Head

Reforges: Lightening mastery lv2+, Ice Mastery lv2+, Fire Mastery lv 2+, Each level gives .5% damage boost to that element. Choose the one you like the best since getting 2 or 3 of them would take thousands of reforges.

Gear: Norman Warrior Helm
Drops from: Get blacksmith manual from fishing on iria boat. Since you can reforge incomplete blacksmithed items find your local friendly smith and have them reforge each unfinished helm until you get the reforge you want. Cost is 4 iron ingots and 2 copper ingots and 1 reforge kit per attempt and 4 Common Leather, 2 Braid, and 2 Tough String for the finish . Compensate them appropriately (their rank doesn’t matter until you want it finished, then seek out a higher rank smith for durability)

Hands

Reforges: Ice Spear Explosion Radius lv 2+ (due to the difficulty of getting this reforge on this item you may skip this part, however if you get your own manual feel free to try for 13 tries)

Rank 3: (Be prepared to use 2-7 enchant protection pots)

Gear: Rosemary Gloves (feel free to use any other gloves until you find these)
Drops from:
Super rare pattern from fishing in Avon.
Materials: Ice Silk × 1, Ice Fabric × 1, Finest Leather Strap × 2 p and 1 reforge kit er attempt and finest finishing thread for finish. Find a rank 1 tailor and pay them well for their efforts. Do not use more than 13 attempts in reforging or you risk not finishing the glove.

Feet

Reforges: Int lv 2+ (due to the low value of this reforge and the cost/rarity of the item this reforge is considered low priority)

Enchants: Expect to use several enchant protection pots

Gear: Magic School Uniform
Drops from: Manual from Nora in Tir. Cost is Cheap Fabric × 1, Common Silk × 1, Common Leather Strap × 1, and 1 reforge kit until you get what you want. Preferably finished by rank 1 tailor with merchant destiny.

Shield

A note on shields: For maximum efficiency you will not be using a shield but one of the books. preferably one that combines two or more of its effects. Those can be enchanted but since they cannot be repaired I do not recommend doing so.

Reforges: Int Lv 2 + (Not a big deal on getting the reforge)

Now its time for weapons!

Crown Ice Wand, Crystal Lightening Wand, Phoenix Firewand, Master Lich Wand

Reforges: Ice Spear Max Damage lv 3+ (level 3 is 5% max damage boost), Thunder Max damage lv 3+ (level 3 is a 3.75% max damage boost), Magic Attack lv 2 +

Crown Ice Wand upgrades: 28% Damage Boost

Crystal Lightening Wand Upgrades: Mana Consumption -10%, Magic Damage -5%, Casting Speed -12%

Phoenix Fire Wand upgrades: -36% Casting Speed

Life Exploration Taming Cane upgrades: +17 Critical, +80 int artisan, +3% Magic damage (complete taming collection journal for 16.8% magic damage boost), cannot receive S upgrades.

I am adding this next wand but I am unsure if it exists in NA

Master Lich Wand upgrades – +21 Magic Damage (Cost is 6,000,000 Ducats according to wiki)

Note on upgrade stones: All Magic Wands will use Blue S stones level 6.
