Requirements:

1) Level 50+
2) Any Crafting Tree (viz Handicraft, Alchemy or Arms) should be upgraded to at least level 10

The Event (Overview)

1) Starts from 11:30 and ends at 23:30 server time.
2) The items on the Luxury Board change every 2 hrs. So no matter which crafting tree you choose – You will still have a chance to donate materials. Its best to keep checking every 2 hrs.
3) You can only donate once a day per char.
4) This event gives lots of coins – around 50K to 96K (the max I got).
5) EDIT: Higher level items give more coins – Level 20 Alchemy item with 32 quality gave me 141K coins today. These items are also difficult to create and require materials from other crafting trees as well.

How to do the event:

1) Check the board when the event starts. If the items listed are craftable by you. Simply click on the receive button and you would receive a collector. You have to pay a refundable deposit of 10K coins (for level 10 crafting items) – the deposit increases as begin crafting higher level items. Its 20K coins for a level 20 crafting item.
2) The collectors are limited (80 per item). So its best to the get the collector as soon as the event starts.
3) Read the description on the collector and right click anywhere on the specified map. You will be given a quest. I have encountered only 3 types of quests till now:

a) Kill a given mob – to get materials.
b) Forage a crystal/mob that spawns.
c) Escort an NPC
d) No need to do anything – you directly get the materials in your bag.

4) report to Lilian (if required) to get one of the materials required for crafting
5) Craft the item. You may have to check on Kardanny in Atlantis to get the other items required for crafting
6) Craft the Item. THRICE.
7) NOW THE NEXT STEP IS IMPORTANT. DO READ IT,
8) You will notice that the three items are of different quality. The quality of the item so crafted is clearly mentioned in the description. The idea is to donate the item that has the highest quality out of the 3 to get more coins. The coins will vary significantly as per the quality.
9) To increase your odds of getting higher quality items – always submit materials to Lilian everyday and increase your Product Master reputation.
10) Enjoy the coins. (You get your deposit back).
11) The amount of coins you earn depends solely upon: THE QUALITY OF THE SUBMITTED ITEM.

TIPS:

1) The easiest crafting tree to level is Alchemy followed by Arms. Handicraft is the hardest to level. Why? You can simply buy materials from Kardanny and begin crafting to level up Arms and Alchemy. Arms requires you to forage a bit at foraging grounds. But in Alchemy you can simply keep on crafting Spicy pork Meat to level up fast.

2) Submit materials to Lilian everyday.

3) To level up Alchemy fast: Simply keep on making Large Spicy Pork Slice till your exhaustion is full
a) Costs: 80 coins for 10 pork slice, 100 coins for crafting = 180 coins per craft
b) After level 30+ – you may want to craft high level energy potions to speed up you levelling. The recipes for which may be purchased at the clan Apothecary. However, Spicy pork spice still rocks – albeit a bit slow.

4) To level up Arms fast: Simply keep on making level 1 stardusts(Any). It requires 500 coins to get sealed stardust from Kardanny and crystals from foraging grounds.
a) Costs: 500 coins per sealed stardust + 500 coins to craft + collector cost (5000 durability – 500 crystals per day = 20 coins per crystal) = 1020 coins per craft
b) At higher levels, craft a bit higher level stardusts. Don’t craft level 2 ones as they require Starsoul Stones, which are hard to find. Certain stardusts require 1K coins for crafting. These may be used.

5) TO level up Handicraft fast – Simply create Soul sealed orbs and after level 5 – Magic stones of growth.

Cost: Soul Sealed Orb: 500 coins to craft + 20 coins per flameflower = 520 coins per craft
Cost: Magic Stone of Growth: 100 coins to craft – that’s it

You will also need to level up your “Refine” tree in Handicraft (for crafting level 20+ luxuries)

To level this one up quickly simply keep on creating Crystal reagent bottles
Cost: Crystal – 100 coins (20 x 5) + 400 Coins for crafting = 500 coins per craft.

Its hard to level up Handicraft cause you can only get a limited number of materials each day. If u buy from the vends – the costs grow by a huge margin.

6) MOST IMPORTANTLY. REST AT CLAN CHURCH. IT RECOVERS 40, 50 OR 100 PERCENT OF YOUR CRAFTING EXHAUSTION – DEPENDING UPON THE CHURCH LEVEL.

7) EDIT: IT WILL HELP A LOT IF YOU LEVEL UP ALL THE RELATED CRAFTING TREES AS WELL. HIGHER LEVEL LUXURY ITEMS REQUIRE MATERIALS TO BE CRAFTED FROM OTHER CRAFTING TREES AS WELL.

8) General Luxury Crafting Observations:

a) Level 10 Luxury Items:
i) Require 2 ingredients
ii) One of which can be bough from Kardanny
iii) The second can be found using the detector on the specified map.

b) Level 20 Luxury items:
i) Require 2 Ingredients
ii) The second of which can be found using the detector
iii) The first ingredient has to be crafted. The materials required for crafting this have to be obtained from the Handicraft sub tree – refine (level 5+). Make a special Handicraft only alt for this – my personal recommendation.

Here is an Example of how to craft a level 20 Alchemy Luxury item called Flame Patterned Dragon scale).

All level 20+ luxury items follow this pattern – the materials of course, vary.

c) Level 35 Luxury Items
i) Require 3 ingredients
ii) First can be crafted. Like the “Flame stripe” – as shown in the example above. (Requires refine)
iii) Second is a clan resource
iv) Third can be found using the detector.

(DAMN NOT TAB FRIENDLY – IGNORE THE DOTS IN THE DIAGRAM ABOVE)

9) LEVEL 20 AND ABOVE CRAFTING QUESTS WILL REQUIRE YOU TO ENTER PVP AREAS WITH ELITE MOBS. THE ONLY TWO AREAS WHICH I HAD TO ENTER (AT MY CURRENT LEVEL WERE) TEMPLE OF WITHERING LEVEL 1 AND SOULBOUND LEVEL 3.

Here are a few tips on how to enter those areas with minimum probability of PvP
a) Enter those areas only on realms 3, 5 and 7. As no boss spawns in those realms. Realm 1 is the vending realm (the most populated one).
b) Saving those locations on your phasing compass/scroll of binding (like soulbound level 3) will help a lot.
c) Take a non linear route to the waypoints on each level. When faced with PvP, your best option is to run like mad (unless you can PK them xd).
d) Always be mounted. The Kirin mount (free) fortified to 2 stars works wonders with its blink skill.
e) Know the location where the bosses spawn (if you are not in realms 3,5 or 7), stay away from there.

THAT’S ALL you need to know about this event. Overall – there would be no incentive to level up the crafting tree quickly – had it not been for this event alone.

Here is what I think about the crafting trees.

1) Alchemy: – easiest to level – loses its importance in the long run. You can buy the crafted food from the NPC “Hola” – near Kardanny. The buff sub tree is good – but is probably the hardest to level amongst all the sub-trees.

2) Arms: Easier to level – Importance of this tree rises greatly endgame – when starwords play a major role in determining your power. Level 3 stardusts add a lot of punch to an otherwise – standard gear. The vehicle components sub tree is essential if you are involved in territory wars.

3) Handicraft – Hardest to level – importance rises greatly endgame. Starword rechargers, soulbeads, fresh flowers are just few of the much more important things you can craft here. The refine subtree – is essential for high level crafting.

Unlike BOI, where investment of resources in crafting was frowned upon as a waste by many – crafting in WOI is much more important and that is something I am glad to see.
