1. What are factions?
Factions are classes or professions. When creating a character, you need to choose a faction. There are four factions in Grand Epic Online, which are Flowers Valley, Shu Mountain, Tianmu Cave,[and]Herming Mountain. Different factions use different weapons[and]skills.

2. How to get started?
After creating a character[and]enter the game world, you can just follow the guide to become accustomed to the game.

3. How to add attribute points?
Character, pet, trump will gain 1 or 2 attribute points when level up. You can add to Str(Strength), Stam(Stamina), Int(Intelligence), Luck(Luck), Def(Defense). Pet’s Weapon Attack can add more attack[and]Armor Defense adds more defense.
Strength affects attack value
Defence affects defense value
Stamina affects maximum HP[and]MP
Intelligence affects skill leveling-up speed
Luck affects critical attack ratio[and]coin amount gained from killing monsters.

4. Are there any hot keys?
Yes. You can press W, A, S, D to move. Press “U” to open character interface; “I”- inventory (backpack); “P”-pet; “J”-mount; “M” -map; “O”-trump; “T”-team; “Q”-quest; “B”-auto-fighting; “Y”-mall; “N”-character management; “H”-rankings; “G”-guild; “F”-friend list; [Space] -pick up monster drops. “~” – attack the nearest monster. You can click the upper border of any interfaces[and]drag them anywhere.

5. How do I complete a quest?
You can receive quests form NPCs with an exclamation mark above them. After you receive the quest, the exclamation mark will turn into a question mark. You can click the quest icon (hotkey -Q) on the bottom of the screen to open Quest interface,[and]click on the yellow underlined text to go to that NPC or monster automatically. After you complete the quest, the question mark will turn into a tick mark,[and]you need to talk to that NPC to complete the quest.

6. How to chat?
Input what you want to say in the blank on the lower right corner of the screen,[and]press [Enter] to talk. You can click the button before or above the blank to choose a chat channel. To chat privately with a player, you click his/her name in chat log,[and]click “Private chat”, or click on his/her character,[and]click “PM”.

7. How to add a friend?
Click on a player’s name in chat log,[and]click “Add as friend”. You can also click on a character,[and]click ”Info”, click “More”, then click “Add as friend”. You can Press hot key “F” to open friend list[and]click his/her name to interact with him/her.

8. Can I team up with my friends to fight monsters?
Yes. Click the team icon (hotkey -T) on the bottom of the screen to create a team. Your friends can click on your character[and]click “Team” then click “Apply to join” to apply for joining your team, then you(team creator) need to open team interface[and]click the name of applier[and]click “Approve”. Each team member will contribute extra attack, defense,[and]exp bonus to other team members, which is quite helpful in fighting monsters, especially in team instances.

9. How to sell items[and]trade with other players?
You can sell items[and]equipments to NPC in Grocery, or trade with other players. To sell to other players, you open inventory interface(hotkey -I), click the item you want to sell,[and]click “Sale” button, input the price,[and]click “Put on sale” button. To buy from players, you can click on player’s name in chat log,[and]click “Buy” to buy items from him/her, or you can also click on a character,[and]click ”Trade”.

10. How to activate pet?
Click the pet icon (hotkey -P) on the bottom of the screen to open pet interface,[select]a pet[and]click “Summon” button. You can choose to let the pet join fighting with you or just watch fighting. It’s the same way to activate mount or trump.

11. How to use auto-fighting?
Click the auto-fighting icon (hotkey -B) on the bottom of the screen to open auto-fighting interface. Click “List all monsters” button to show all monsters in current map(you can[delete]monster names that you don’t want to fight), drag skill icons from skill interface(Character->skill tab) to skill panes on auto-fighting interface, drag medicines[and]wines to auto-HP[and]MP-restoring[and]set a value, so HP[and]MP will auto-restore when below that value. Choose Yes or No in “Automatic to do”, then click “+” or “-” below to set auto-fighting time, then click “save”[and]click “Start Auto-fighting”. You can stop auto-fighting anytime,[and]use the remaining auto-fighting time next time. (Note: Auto-fighting requires certain amount of Auto-fighting Cards. The longer auto-fighting time you set, the less Auto-fighting Cards per hour it requires. You can buy Auto-fighting Cards in the mall, or get them from killing monsters, digging treasures or fishing in Fairy-pool Pot.)

12. How to[delete]characters?
Press “N” to open game setting, click “[delete]character”.

13. How to use shortcut keys(quick-slot bar on game screen bottom)?
On the bottom of the game screen, you can find 10 number shortcut key slots. Drag skills or items to the quick-slot bar[and]use them by clicking on them or press corresponding numeric keys on keyboard.

14. How to equip weapon[and]armors?
Weapons[and]armors can be equipped in My Items(Backpack). Click an equipment[and]click [Use] or directly double click the equipment, they can be equipped. If you want to take off an equipment, click on it and[select]”Take off”.

15. How to use skills[and]level up skills?
Open your character interface, click “skill” tab, drag skill icons to the number shortcut keys on the bottom of the screen. You can click on them (or press number keys),[and]then click monster to use skills.  You can check the detailed info by hovering your mouse on the skill icons. Skills will level up as you use them frequently.

16. What affects attack power?
Your level, weapon, weapon inlay accessory, strength(Str), Eight Meridians[and]other relative attributes.

17. What affects defense power?
Your level, armors, armor inlay accessory, defense(Def), Eight Meridians[and]other relative attributes.

18. What are Eight Meridians?
Character[and]pet have eight meridians. They affect character/pet’s maximum HP, MP, attack[and]defense power. You can break them through one by one in order. After all meridians are broken through, your character/pet will become very powerful.
Eight Meridians includes:
Di Meridian:
After it’s broken through, character/pet’s Max MP will be largely increased
Ming Meridian:
After it’s broken through, character/pet’s  Max HP will be largely increased
Ren Meridian:
After it’s broken through, character/pet’s  Defense will be largely increased
Zhong Meridian:
After it’s broken through, character/pet’s  Max HP will be largely increased,[and]you can check other players’ location.
Kuang Meridian:
After it’s broken through, character/pet’s  attack will be largely increased
Sin Meridian:
After it’s broken through, character/pet’s  Max HP[and]Max MP will be largely increased
Tian Meridian:
After it’s broken through, character/pet’s  attack[and]defense will be largely increased
Xian Meridian:
After it’s broken through, character/pet’s  Max HP, Max MP, attack[and]defense will be largely increased

19. What’s pet Loyalty?
Its max value is 100. When it decreases to 0, pet stops fighting[and]can’t be released to fight or watch fight. You can use pet food to restore it.

20. What is Mount?
Mounts can increase your character’s moving speed. Its Atk Aptitude, Def Aptitude, HP Aptitude, MP Aptitude can provide attribute bonus to character’s attack, defense, max HP[and]max MP respectively.

21. How do I get a Mount?
You can get mount by finishing NPC’s quest or forge more powerful mount in Mount Forge Stove on Mall interface in-game.

22. What is Trump?
Trump is like a special weapon. It appears beside character[and]attacks enemies. It can also can provide attribute bonus to character’s attack, defense, max HP[and]max MP. You can temper a trump after reaching level 40.

23. How to use items?
As you hover mouse on an item, you can check its details. Click the item[and]click “use” or simply double-click on it to use it.
You can drag them to shortcut number keys on the bottom of the screen to use them more conveniently.

24. A. Weapon repairing[and]forging
When weapon durability decreases to 0, it will be taken off automatically. You can repair it in Blacksmith’s which costs some coins. You can also buy Ancient Fairy Iron in the mall to repair weapon anywhere.
Weapon attack power, attack material[and]five-elements can all be enhanced. You can check more details from Blacksmith’s or go to the Beginner page of Grand Epic website.

      B. Armor repairing[and]forging
When armor’s durability decreases to 0, it will be taken off automatically. You can repair it in Tailor’s which costs some coins. You can also buy Ancient Fairy Thread in the mall to repair armor anywhere.
Armor’s defense power, defense material[and]five-elements can all be enhanced. You can check more details from Tailor’s, or go to the Beginner page of Grand Epic website.

25. How to charge money to my account (buy Silver) ?
Open “Mall” interface,[and]click “Charge”. You will be redirected to charge page.

26. How to catch monster as my pet?
Use Soul-seizing Skill to the monster that you want to catch as pet. It may take several times before successfully catching a pet. Note: Your Soul-seizing Skill must be higher than the monsters level.(see more here: Grand Epic Online Pet List Guide)

27. How to forge a mount?
Open the mall, click “Mount Forging” to open Mount Forging Stove,[select]the mount you want to forge.
Open mount interface, drag the photo of needed mount from mount interface to mount forging stove.
Then click “Forge” (hotkey-“[“) to forge the mount. Forging mount needs to consume certain amount of Mount-forging Elixirs(can be bought in mall) . Whether you succeed or not, Mount-forging Elixirs will be consumed.

28. How to go fishing?
Use Fairy-pool Pot(can be gained by killing monster) to open fishing interface,[select]a fishing area(Common, Medium, Choice, Rare), then click [Go Fishing] button. It needs a Bait (can be gained by buying Divine Water in the mall)to go fishing. You can use 1000 coins to go fishing in Common area 2 or 3 times per day after level 30.

29. What are GEO silver?
It refers to our in-game virtual “game currency” which can be used to buy some special[and]useful premium items in game.

30. How to buy GEO silver?
Login http://www.gamemily.com/html/en/index.shtml, click Mall-Charge, choose your target game[and]your server,
and click “Charge Now” to finish your payment. (Please check more information from “Runspay FAQ”.)

31. How do I use GEO silver in game?
After entering game, you can press shortcut key “Y” or click “Mall” icon on the right bottom of game interface
to buy items via GEO silver.

32. Where can I see how much GEO silver I have left?
Check it in “Mall” in-game.
