Translation: Mika Nakashima – Orion

中島美嘉 – Orion
Mika Nakashima – Orion

泣いたのは僕だった
弱さを見せないことが そう
強い訳じゃないって君が
言っていたからだよ
I believe
———-
the one who cried was me
not showing any weakness
isn’t the same as having strength
because that’s what you said
I believe

息が冷たくなる帰り道に
ただ星が揺れている
as my breath turned cold on the way back
it seemed like the stars were swaying

確かめたばかりの
淡いぬくもりさえ
もう忘れそう
that i was sure of
even the faint warmth
was already forgotten

人を好きになれることに
初めて気付いた 今は
what it’s like to come to like someone
this is the first time i’ve realised it

泣いたのは僕だった
つながった冬の星座
この空に消えてかない様に
見つめていたんだよ
I believe
—————
the one who cried was me
the winter constellations that linked together
seemed to stay in the sky forever
that’s what i saw
I believe

かじかんだ手のひら
離れぬ様に いつまでもふれていたい
our numbed palms
seemed unable to separate, wanting to stay together forever

伝えたい言葉を繰り返すのに
また声にならない
even as i kept repeating the words i wanted to tell you
still it couldn’t be voiced

他愛ないことで笑って
優しく包むよ 君を
laughing at the silly things
and tucking you in gently

流れ星数えてた
君と出会えたキセキが
今僕に
生きている意味を
教えてくれたから
I believe
————-
i counted the shooting stars
the miracle that i met you
because now i
have been taught
the meaning of living
I believe

泣いたのは僕だった
弱さを見せないことが そう
強い訳じゃないって君が
言っていたからだよ
I believe
———-
the one who cried was me
not showing any weakness
isn’t the same as having strength
because that’s what you said
I believe

言っていたからだよ
I believe
——–
because that’s what you said
I believe

  1. thank you! =D i'm really glad you liked my translation! i believe a good understanding of the lyrics contributes to the enjoyment of the song so i try to make my translations as accurate as i can while keeping them pleasing to read =]

  2. Thanks for the translation! This one's really good. I've been taking japanese classes for three years, so I know some japanese, and when I looked at other translations, they were really inaccurate. That much I could tell, so I had to look through more translations. This one you did is really accurate. Thanks! Really appreciated.^^

  10. i personally went to borrow self learning books from the library, but different people have different preferences, what’s most important is to just start, and not to give up =]

  11. Would love to take classes but the universities around my area don’t offer Japanese =( I’m thinking I should probably try self studying as well. What do you recommend? Books? Audio tapes?

Thanks again for the romaji for Juju’s sunao ni naretara ^^
