Its all about time and what you whant to drop.
1st Method

1) Ull gonna farm lvl 9 valleys ( a flat is a valley) ull need to find a lvl 9 valley near you NOT 10 NOT 8…
PS: lvl 10 u take too much loss and lvl 8 their is another tecnique.
SO search for valleys nor more than 2 miles from your cities. ( lvl 9 ones )

2) The waves u need to send are: 20k arch 1 scout/pike/warrior/BALISTA ( dont forget the balista )
The more waves u send the better

3) 10seconds between waves..you will have enough time to cap/abandon/cap/abandon/cap….

How it works, If u have a lvl 9 valley 1 mile from you… attack will take 6minuts to reach the valley… in other words.. if u send 10 waves you will have from 40 to 50 attacks per hour. That would drop from 3 to 10 medals ( ore more depending on luck )

if u dispose of a good army u can do it from 2 cities or more.

Loss: You will lose trops when u hit Cav and or Archers.. not more than 1.2k per hit.. mostly lose like 200 archers.

With this method my record was 27 medals a day…. played like 6 hours.

2nd Method

1) Ull gonna farm lvl 8 valleys.. also look for the nearest valley lvl 8.
2) The waves u need to send are: 15k arch 1scout/pike/warrior
3) 10seconds between waves..you will have enough time to cap/abandon/cap/abandon/cap….

Same as 1st method, people say lvl 8 dont have a good drop but realize it will take 3 min and some seconds to go and come back a valley with 1 mile distance… so 10 waves in 4 minuts lets say at least 120 attacks per hour here.. Iam sure ull find a bunch of medals too. ( lvl 9 worked better for me though ).

This method game like 20 medals a day.
Same loss… upto 1.2k archers…usualy 200 ( u can add balistas to make less loss.. but i believe u chose this method because its faster )

both methods i lost like 10 – 30k archers a day… TOTALY WORTH IT.. fast medals.

HINTS
SAVE THE VALLEY WHEN U FINISH LAST ATTACK DONT ABANDON JUST RECALL TROPS SO U CAN STAY WITH THE VALLEY FOR LATER.
CHOSE NEARBY VALLEYS.
DO ANY OF THESE METHODS TO THE SAME VALLEY ALL DAY.. DO NOT CHANGE VALLEY BE PERSISTENT IT WILL EVENTUALY DROP A LOT OF MEDALS IF
YOU JUST KEEP ATTACKING.

ok hope i helped i got from knight to furstin in 3weeks or less i think.
you will find other lvl 10 methods that dont lose trops… but its take toooo long to finish promotions…

And finaly… u need to look for the right valley to attack… i will not post what valley drops most certain medal cuz people desagree in it.. and i am sure you will find in the forum some good opinions on what valley to attack to achieve the medals you need for promotion.
