I’m going to need a lot of help from the community on this. Obviously something like value of certain Pokemon is all up to the users involved in a trade, but I’m going to try to put some value on shinies based off their perceived wanted value and actual rarity, on a scale of * to *****. Something like this is constantly changing, but the idea of this is to give people who don’t know what they have an idea of what they can get from it. It’s different for everyone, but there are clearly certain Pokemon that are more sought after, and ones that you’re hard pressed to get rid of because people don’t like the Pokemon or they’re dirt common, and you’d have to be an idiot if you think it’s easier to find and catch a shiny Chansey than Diglett so there is measurable value there.

I’ll need a lot of help from people who frequently deal shinies, as this initial ranking is just off what I’ve seen in the game and to get the thread started. If the ‘desirability’ category is just redundant or too hard to predict, well get rid of it. For most part both categories are the same.

Not concrete, all this attempts to do is show what certain shinies are worth compared to others.

* = Dirt common as far as shinies go. **=Somewhat common, on the trading block a lot ***=Tough to find but they’re there ****=Very hard to find *****=Nearly impossible/actually impossible to find.
