Background: Voltar the Omniscient is shrouded in mystery. Rumor has it he was a researcher at a once star-encapsulating power station, which exploded and destroyed AI station 101. This event ended the first AI war. It’s certain that he’s a genius with an * of robots and unmatched psychotechnic powers.

Medium Speed, Short Ranged(not so much), Healer(on the surface)

Voltar to me is the most versatile and interesting character. He has the capability to push a line like the best pushers while also being given an extremely good Solar game. He also has great defense to protect himself from damage.

To me there are 2-3 different ways to play Voltar. The first being a straight up healer. For this style play you want to make sure your teammates are good and know how to communicate effectively as well as what to spec first to push early game and set yourself up with tons of solar for your first trip back to the base.

Straight Healer Spec:

Drone Army, Hyper Drive, Weaponized Hull

Cortex Tank, Hydraulic Sugar Dispenser, Overheal Potion

Psychothrust, Dreams of Greed, Euphoric Thoughts

Solar Tree, Piggy Bank, Power Pills Turbo

Start the game off getting Solar Tree, Piggy Bank, Healbot, Summon Drones. You may ask why get summon drones for the straight healer spec in the beginning and the answer is to trick the turrets so they stop attacking your bots allowing you to heal them up. Allowing you this will help push early game through building an army. You want to take the path of least resistance with this spec so take a teammate and take the path with the least amount of enemy nauts. Once you get enough spec Euphoric Thoughts THEN Dreams of Greed. Reason being you only get +5% more solar per heal with Dreams so you NEED to increase the strength of your heals to benefit from Dreams. After specing that up the the Healbot all the way then the drones. This build is pretty much straight forward and requires the least player skill to effectively make it work, though it does require a competent team. One of Voltars biggest issues is his inability to fight more than 1 Naut. 1v2 is were Voltars weaknesses start to come to light so try and avoid that situation at all cost.

Super Pusher:

Drone Army, Hyper Drive, Weaponized Hull

Cortex Tank, Hydraulic Sugar Dispenser, Overheal Potion

Psychokinetic Repulsion, Psychothrust, Euphoric Thoughts

Solar Tree, Piggy Bank, Power Pills Turbo

Start the match specing Solar Tree, Piggy Bank, Healbot, and Psychokinetic Repulsion. This spec allows you to not only heal the bots in your lane put also push back the opposing bots and nauts making it an extremely annoying opening game. Most Nauts besides Froggy have no counter for the pushback early game which leaves you with the upper hand in lane pushing. After you’ve acquired enough solar upgrade the range to of heal to further distance yourself when pushing back bots and nauts. Follow by upping strength of heals, then healbot and drones.

Voltar the Tank:

Drone Army, Hyper Drive, Weaponized Hull

Cortex Tank, Hydraulic Sugar Dispenser, Overheal Potion

Psychothrust,Dreams of Greed, Euphoric Thoughts

Solar Tree, Piggy Bank, Power Pills Turbo

For this spec start with getting again Solar Tree, Piggy Bank, Healbot, Drones. Start pushing your lanes like you are playing the straight healer. As soon as possible upgrade healing strength and Dreams of Greed. Then immediately start to max out the drones. The drones are the key to Tanking with Voltar and the sole reason he is able to tank. Max Health next then Healbot. To tank with Voltar use the Drones to Distract and attack turrets and heal bot and heal laser to heal them as they are attack the turret. Should you be attack simply jump up and hover and let your drones go to town on your enemy. When maxing out drones, go for amount then damage, then speed. When maxing healbot go strength, longevity, cooldown.
