The following is a price guide. Use it as a suggestion for the approximate value of a RotMG item in a trade. Please note however that there is no such thing as a “correct” price. Items do not have some sort of inherent price, and these prices aren’t determined by me or any other one person. Also remember that prices change, and can change very quickly.

Tips: Remember that if a trade sounds too good to be true, it is generally a scam, also if the person who you are trading with cancels the trade at ANY GIVEN TIME, then proceeds to re-trade you afterward, always double check the item being selected! Most of the time he/she will switch out the item when he/she cancels the trade, be extremely careful of this!

Pots are used as the currency of RotMG, with defense pots as the base unit. Most of the items in this guide will be priced by def pots.

Tier 0-8 weapons, tier 0-3 abilities, tier 1-9 armors and tier 1-3 hp/def rings or tier 1-4 (any other type) rings are worthless and difficult if not impossible to sell except perhaps for each other.

Tier 9 weapons and tier 10 armors will (if you are lucky) go for a ‘rainbow pot’ each, where a ‘rainbow pot’ refers to a very cheap pot.

Tier 10 weapons/tier 11 armors (occasionally bought for pet food at the price of a rainbow price, although rarely)

    t6 = large price range (3def-2life [pretty big])

    There is a lot more, but really these are somethings that should be added and fixed. Most of the prices that I said are close, yet what can I said. The market can change again then this could be usless. Well, hope something takes this info and does something with it, good bye.

    Some of the prices are inaccurate–
    Nobody would EVER successfully sell or buy a gsorcfor 1.5 life
    Colossus not worth 3 life, only 2 now
    Cosmic whole not worth 2-3, worth 1-2
    None of the unbound rings would EVER sell for more then 3 life, unless they were ubhp or ubdef.
    Covert heavens will never EVER sell for 1 life, only 1 mana at the top
    Foul prices have plummeted, you can sell for 1.5 life if you are lucky
    Believe it or not, I think that the record.oup could actually sell for 1 life because of the increasing popularity of wand classes like priest. I have sold a recoup for 1 life before
    Tips for Marching that have made me very rich:
    1. Get 1 life for 7 or 8 def
    2. Sell for 2 mana
    3. Buy t12 wands, gsorcs, t11 sword, or anything you can that is worth above a mana.
    4. Also you can sell the man’s for op, like 5-6 def pots or several old tops.
    5. Sell your goods for life pots and repeat process with higher quantity.

    tarotcards=1-4 def, 4 def is my max i’ve ever sold it for, the World tarot
    t5 orb= t9-1 spd
    t5 prism-unsellable-best case a t9-t10 thing
    t5 tome=1 spd
    t5 spell=1 def
    t5 trap= 1 spd
    t5 star=1 spd-1 def, depending on demand
    t5 scepter=unsellable-1 spd, more sellable though than the prism

    Edits:
    Elder is closer to 2 def now
    Recomp goes for 1-1.5 mana
    Atk seems to have risen beyond 1:1 ratio with def
