Ragnarok Online Emperium Statistics and Breaking Advice

Ragnarok Online Emperium Statistics and Breaking Advice by bastien

My first guide ever. ; )

As we have Louyang, some of you may have noticed aspersio is annoying us, Breakers that is, in woe. Ever wondered why?

Emperium – Level 90

Race: Angel [Since Louyang Patch]
Element: Holy 1 [Since Louyand Patch]
Size: Small

Base Exp: 0, Job Exp: ? (According to Yopez ^^)

HP – 68430

ATK – 11~60, FLEE – 107
STR – 1, AGI – 17
VIT – 80, INT – 50
DEX – 26, LUK – 20

DEF – 40+80, MDEF – 100+90

Attack Range – 1 Cell
Properties: Cannot Attack, Cannot Move, Cannot Counter Attack, Inactive, and Skills do not work on it.

Now you probably wonder what weapon you should use to deal the most damage to the emp if you don’t know anything about race, elements and size.

Race, Angel: There doesn’t seem to be anything to do about this, since no current cards affect damage dealt to Angels. Unless a specific weapon does anything I’m unaware of.

Element, Holy 1: Silver arrows and aspersioed weapons miss on the emp which means it’s Holy1. (Hint: in case you get aspersioed, carry a second weapon to switch to, usually your Bloody weapon, then switch back to your breaking weapon so you can make those aspersio priests mad)
Orc Skeleton Card adds 20% damage to Holy property monsters, probably the best card for breakers.
You can deal some nice damage to the emp if you use a shadow property weapon (arrow of shadow for example), since the shadow property does 25% additional damage to Holy 1.
I wouldn’t risk using Undead property weapons since they do only 100% damage to the emp since it’s element property is Holy 1.

Since Einbroch came in, you can use cursed water for an additional 25% damage from that shadow property. It owns.

Size, Small: If you’re confused, here’s something that can easily affect the damage you deal to the emp. Desert Wolf Card is recommended here since it does +15% damage on Small monsters and gives a nice +5 ATK in general. As you may know all weapons do not do 100% damage to small monsters, here’s what I’ve gathered:

small medium large
Sword 75% 100% 75%
2H Sword 75% 75% 100%
Dagger 100% 75% 50%
Axe 50% 75% 100%
Spear 75% 75% 100%
Mace 75% 100% 100%
Rod 100% 100% 100%
Arrow 100% 100% 75%
Katar 75% 100% 75%

I left all sizes modifiers so you can refer to this guide for damaging various sized monsters as well. Here we need to focus on the “small” column. We can see that Rogues, Wizards and Hunters do not need any help with their modifiers, for all other classes, the only thing you can do is get a Battlesmith in your guild and have him using his elite “Weapon Perfection” in the breaker’s party. (Side note: He could also use “Power Thrust” which adds 25% damage for a fixed duration)

As you noticed the emp has high defense and vit, I can see OI monks saying “omg ima OI that bish to death !!1!1!1!” but if you’re not dumb you also noticed that skills do NOT work on the emp.

The best way to break an emperium is to take advantage of its high defense using an icepick, a defense piercing weapon or crits on it.
You can try various combinations of cards and weapons, but my advice is choose a high base atk weapon that has at least two or three slots.

3 slotted Weapon examples:

1 desert wolf card, 2 Orc Skeleton Cards in a cross bow using arrows of shadow.
1 desert wolf card, 1 Orc Skeleton Card, 1 Soldier Skeleton Card in a Jur.

Dagger sin combo:

2 Orc Skeleton Cards, 2 desert wolf cards in your right hand weapon.

Icepick in your left hand.

Never forget the icepick effect works even if you wield it on your left hand. Try switching your icepick to your right hand: you’ll do less damage than the other way around if you have good weapons.

I guess you understood what breaking is all about now.
This guide focuses on the damage part of breaking, we all know that the castle will belong to the guild whose member got the hit that actually destroyed the emp. In order to achieve this you need a good emp breaking weapon AND the all the aspd you can get (Use aspd pots/Impressive rift/adrenaline rush, etc).

If you have any comments/suggestions/rants, feel free to reply to this topic.

Thanks for reading this guide, see you at the emp room.
