The following is a price guide. Use it as a suggestion for the approximate value of a RotMG item in a trade. Please note however that there is no such thing as a “correct” price. Items do not have some sort of inherent price, and these prices aren’t determined by me or any other one person. Also remember that prices change, and can change very quickly.

Tips: Remember that if a trade sounds too good to be true, it is generally a scam, also if the person who you are trading with cancels the trade at ANY GIVEN TIME, then proceeds to re-trade you afterward, always double check the item being selected! Most of the time he/she will switch out the item when he/she cancels the trade, be extremely careful of this!

Pots are used as the currency of RotMG, with defense pots as the base unit. Most of the items in this guide will be priced by def pots.

Tier 0-8 weapons, tier 0-3 abilities, tier 1-9 armors and tier 1-3 hp/def rings or tier 1-4 (any other type) rings are worthless and difficult if not impossible to sell except perhaps for each other.

Tier 9 weapons and tier 10 armors will (if you are lucky) go for a ‘rainbow pot’ each, where a ‘rainbow pot’ refers to a very cheap pot.

Tier 10 weapons/tier 11 armors (occasionally bought for pet food at the price of a rainbow price, although rarely)

    Almandine armor, shield, and sword have dropped to 4 life each due to the mystery boxes.

    Ring is now 1.5 life also.

    Sky is 4 def – 1 life now.

    Covert is 1 mana, recomp is 1 life.

    UB HP is now a stable 4 life(sometimes goes for less, but that’s for merchers).

    Covert is about 1 mana now.

    UB ring prices need to be changed in general in fact.

    Skins are far off.

    Acclaim is 3 life now, cwhole is 1.5 life, sky and gsorc are 0.5-1.

    Eledet is sometimes more than 2 so 2-3.

    Only thing that Totes said that I’d agree with is acclaim price, but even then I’m not quite in the business of trading tops yet so I wouldn’t know. I feel like Totes is severely underestimating the value of def because it is one of the most common pot drop alongside dex/spd/att but it is so much more crucial for a character to max at first to ensure survival, let alone safe runs

    TotesBeGoates needs to lay off whatever it is he’s smoking. The most you’ll see att go for is 2 def and that’s only if the buyer is an idiot. 3:4 is common enough though. Life is 7-8 def or 6-7 att and mana is a solid 4 def.

    But seriously though, this does need an update.

    Lol fuck, I feel terrible now. I made a trade with a guy who offered me a deal worth 2.5 life and 1 def in exchange for my offer which equated to -1 spd. Holy shit and the worst part is he died immediately after the trade. Poor guy ;-;
