Blade & Soul Kung Fu Master Skills, Talent Tree and Combos Guide by Seraphy

Disclaimer: I didn’t get all the skills, or record them all, didn’t have time. I also do not claim to know Korean. I am translating these via typing them up and throwing them in Google Translate and then using my existing knowledge of skills and common sense to decode the Google gibberish. When more defined translations are released, I will edit the necessary information to reflect proper information.

Some skill names are from the training list on the Dojo, others will be ones I make up (marked with a *). Keep in mind the damages are for a level 1 (no you cannot get all the skills at 1, but you can check them at 1).

Talent Tree

Keep in mind for these talent translations, I’ll just keep the ones that enable skills at a basic ‘enables this’. You can read what they do later in the post anyway.

When I say talent points required, that is not saying you need X amount for that talent. It means you need X amount in the tree before you can get the talent.

Tier 1 – Required Level: 15

Tier 1-0 – Chul-San-Go
Grants the skill Chul-San-Go.
Tier 1-1 – Force Punch Chain
If you use Force Punch, your Leap Stomp cooldown resets.
Tier 1-2 – Leg Sweep Extension
Time an enemy stays knocked down extends from 2 to 3 seconds.
Tier 1-3 – Spin Kick
Grants the skill Spin Kick.
Tier 1-4 – Basic Combo Training
Basic attack hits will give 1 additional Fighting Spirit if you pull off a critical hit.
Tier 1-5 – Not available in CBT2.
Tier 1-6 – Dodge Training
Each time you dodge, you restore 1 Fighting Spirit.
Tier 1-7 – Chul-San-Go Training 2
Chul-San-Go Fighting Spirit requirement lowers from 3 to 2.
Tier 1-8 – Counterattack Stun Extension
The amount of time a target is stunned after a counter is increased by 1 second.

Tier 2 – Required Level: 20 – Talent Points Required: 5

Tier 2-0 – Rising Kick
Grants the skill Rising Kick.
Tier 2-1 – AoE Force Punch
Gives Force Punch a frontal AoE arc of 180 degrees.
Tier 2-2 – Trample Fighting Spirit Recovery
Trample will recover 2 Fighting Spirit.
Tier 2-3 – Somersault Kick
Grants the skill Somersault Kick.
Tier 2-4 – Aerial Kick
Grants the skill Aerial Kick.
Tier 2-5 – Pressure Point
Grants the skill Pressure Point.
Tier 2-6 – Ambush Power Strike
Grants the skill Ambush Power Strike.
Tier 2-7 – Dominate Training
Critical hit chance is increased by 5% in Dominate stance.
Tier 2-8 – Counter Time Increase
Length of counter increases from 0.8 to 1.0 second.

Note: You must choose between Tier 2-7 Dominate Training or Tier 2-8 Counter Time Increase. This will also mean that 2-7 can only get 3-7 and 2-8 can only obtain 3-8.

Tier 3 – Required Level: 25 – Talent Points Required: 10

Tier 3-0 – Instant Strike*
Grants the skill Instant Strike*.
Tier 3-1 – Force Punch Training
Lowers Force Punch’s Fighting Spirit requirement from 3 to 2.
Tier 3-2 – Flaming Uppercut*
Grants the skill Flaming Uppercut*.
Tier 3-3 – Leap Stomp Training
Recover 2 Fighting Spirit with Leap Stomp. If you use this on an enemy casting, you knock them down.
Tier 3-4 – Aerial Stomp
Grants the skill Aerial Stomp.
Tier 3-5 – Pressure Point Training
If you or other players attack an enemy affected by Pressure Point status they will gain 10% of their energy. (Sword Chi, Fighting Spirit, Rage, Inner Chi, and Chakra).
Tier 3-6 – Choke
Grants the skill Choke.
Tier 3-7 – Counter Stun Time Increase
Counter stun time increases from 2 to 4 seconds, but decreases the counter time from 0.8 to 0.7 seconds.
Tier 3-8 – Counter Fighting Spirit Recovery
Counter recovers 4 Fighting Spirit instead of 3.

Tier 4 – Required Level: 30 – Talent Points Required: 15

Tier 4-0 – Concentration
Sidestep Left, Sidestep Right, and Move Back grant a 50% increase in dodge ability.
Tier 4-1 – Palm Strike*
Strengthens Instant Strike* to make a target groggy when used.
Tier 4-2 – Not available in CBT2.
Tier 4-3 – Aerial Stomp Training
Target will stay down for 3 seconds after the skill is used.
Tier 4-4 – Aerial Catch*
Grants the skill Aerial Catch*.
Tier 4-5 – Not available in CBT2.
Tier 4-6 – Arm Bar
Grants the skill Arm Bar.
Tier 4-7 – Landslide
Grants the skill Landslide.
Tier 4-8 – Boxing*
Grants the skills Boxing 1*, Boxing 2*, and Counter Attack*. (I believe it also grants Surprise Punch*.)

Note: You must choose between Tier 4-3 Aerial Stomp Training or Tier 4-4 Aerial Catch*.

Tier 5 – Required Level: 35 – Talent Points Required: 20

Tier 5-0 – Aerial Dominate*
Grants the skill Aerial Dominate*.
Tier 5-1 – Not available in CBT2.
Tier 5-2 – Aerial Dominate* Training
After Aerial Dominate*, surrounding enemies take damage and get knocked back.
Tier 5-3 – Not available in CBT2.
Tier 5-4 – Aerial Catch* Training
After Aerial Catch*, surrounding enemies take damage and become unable to act for a period of time.
Tier 5-5 – Martial Arts Dance
Grants the skill Martial Arts Dance.
Tier 5-6 – Not available in CBT2.
Tier 5-7 – Landslide Training
If the target is in the air when you use Landslide the target becomes stunned and groggy.
Tier 5-8 – Concentration Training
Concentration time increases by 1 second (Boxing time increases as well).

Note: Level/talent points required don’t really make sense for Tier 6, 7, and 8. They’re subject to change since CBT2 only went up to level 39.


Tier 6 – Required Level: Varied – Talent Points Required: Varied

Tier 6-0 – Leap Domination*
Required Level: 50
Talent Points Required: 35

Grants the skill Leap Domination*. Quickly close distance between you and the opponent, immediately going to Dominate stance.
Tier 6-1 – Palm Strike* Training
Required Level: 40
Talent Points Required: 25

Lowers cooldown of Palm Strike* by 2 seconds.
Tier 6-2 – Not available in CBT2.
Tier 6-3 – Headbutt Training
Required Level: 40
Talent Points Required: 15

Damage taken increases, but recover 1 more Fighting Spirit.
Tier 6-4 – Unknown 1* Training

Unknown 1* can be used in place of Force Punch.

Assault* is upgraded to an AoE; it now hits anything surrounding the target you are already hitting.
Tier 8-4 – Not available in CBT2.
Tier 8-5 – Counter Training

When countering a Force Attack, you will counter the same elemental force you blocked off.
Tier 8-6 – Dominate Immunity

Upon success, the counterattack does 11-18 damage and stuns the target for 2 seconds.

1. The default length is 0.8 seconds with a cooldown of 1.6 seconds. You can later get a talent (2nd row, last column) that increases the length it lasts, and decreases the cooldown time as well. If you successfully counter an attack, you automatically use a move that hits them and stuns them (this attack can miss though).

Can be used within 3m of the target. Deals 32-53 damage. It cannot be cast while moving.

1. Against a boss, this prompts a red (groggy) resistance.
The is a martial arts move from the Chinese Bajiquan style. Unfortunately I don’t know the actual name (it may not even translate completely), but it is somewhat close to Iron Mountain.

1. If you have the talent (4th Row, Last Column), it automatically puts you in a boxing like stance after sidestepping. The stance lasts for 5 seconds.
2. During this boxing stance, you automatically have a chance to counter. Being hit will stop the stance. You will also have increased evasion due to the Concentration talent (Tier 4-0).
3. You can use the basic attacks while in boxing stance to recover Fighting Spirit to use the boxing moves.

1. Despite having this skill, I never saw it prompt. I believe it requires you to use Move Back for it to prompt (which I rarely did.)

1. I believe pressure point state involves a sap of energy from the affected target. For instance, sapping 3 Fighting Spirit off of a target.
2. Usable if you are behind the target and it is stunned (?).
