this guide will only cover the frogs that are in-game atm (so others can get the most out of the advice)

I. – Introduction

today’s guide is about frogs, apart from a few key water users, (they know who they are), i rarely see frogs being played at all (fun or otherwise)
this guide is all about promoting the use of these cards, some see the frogs as weak and unable to stand against other decks.
But i assure you, after you’ve read this guide, you’ll see things differently.

II. – The Frogs and Wetlands

T.A.D.P.O.L.E – LV1 – ATK 0 / DEF 0

When this card you control is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, you can add any T.A.D.P.O.L.E(s) from you deck to your hand

Beelze Frog – LV 3 – ATK 1200 / DEF 800

This card gains 300 ATK for each T.A.D.P.O.L.E in your graveyard.

Des Frog – LV 5 – ATK 1900 / DEF 0

When this is tribute summoned you can special summon Des Frog(s) from you hand or deck, up to the number of T.A.D.P.O.L.E(s) in your graveyard.

Treeborn Frog – LV 1 – ATK 100 / DEF 100

If this card is in your Graveyard during your Standby Phase and you control no Spell or Trap Cards, you can Special Summon it. This effect cannot be activated if you control a face-up Treeborn Frog.

Unifrog LV 2 – ATK 400 / DEF 400

This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card successfully attacks directly, if you control a Frog monster other than Frog the Jam or Unifrog, you can destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls

Substitoad LV 1 – ATK 100 / DEF 2000

Tribute 1 monster to Special Summon 1 Frog monster from your Deck, (except Frog the Jam). Frog monsters (except Frog the Jam) cannot be destroyed by battle.

Frog The Jam – LV 2 – ATK 700 / DEF 500

Poison Draw Frog – LV 2 – ATK 100 DEF 100

When this face-up card on the field is sent to the Graveyard (unless it was attacked while face-down and destroyed by battle), you can draw 1 card.

D.3.S Frog – LV 8 – ATK 2500 / DEF 2000

Des Frog + Des Frog + Des Frog
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters. Increase the ATK of this card by 500 points for every Treeborn Frog in your Graveyard.

Wetlands – Field Spell

All Aqua-Type/WATER/Level 2 or lower monsters gain 1200ATK.

III. – Uses and support

T.A.D.P.O.L.E + Beelze frog
+
T.A.D.P.O.L.E + Des Frog

T.A.D.P.O.L.E, can be used along with foolish burial to increase the ATK of beelze frog, when 3 T.A.D.P.O.L.E are in the grave beelze frog’s ATK will increase to 2100

T.A.D.P.O.L.E can also be used with Des frog (if you have enough in the grave) for an easy swarm capability

Beelze frog and Des Frog will be unnafected by wetlands, since they are a higher level than the requirement.

Treeborn frog – this card is mainly used as defense from monsters, and as a “Tribute fodder” for a higher level monsters.

Unifrog – this card relies on other “frogs” to be out with wetlands and another frog out, this card becomes a 1600 ATK spell or trap destroyer (2 of these out at once for maximum annoyance)

Substitoad – this card CAN tribute itself to activate it’s effect (making it awesome), this card is an easy way to summon a frog to the field quickly (this card CAN also summon Des Frog, but it’s effect will not activate)

Frog the Jam – this card is just for attacking (i think personally) with wetlands and this card out, you’ve got a 1900 ATK monster, not bad eh?

Poison Draw frog – This card cannot be destroyed when battle after it has been set, or it’s effect WILL NOT activate, nor will this card bieng tributed by Substitoad.

and finally we come to the biggest frog out to date
D.3.S frog, the maximum ATK this card can will have without any other non- frog support is 3000 (because treeborn frog is limited to 1)

even so (if you can summon it) 2500 ATK makes it an awesome monster when summoned, (just make sure it doesen’t get destroyed, lol)

A Few Support Cards

Des Croaking

Activate only while you control 3 face up Des frogs, Destroy all cards your opponent controls.

there is an easy way to pull this off.

summon Des frog by tributing T.A.D.P.O.L.E (make sure another is in the grave), summon out another 2 Des Frogs by it’s effect, then activate Des Croacking.

Froggy Forcefield

Activate only when a face-up Frog monster you control, except Frog the Jam, is selected as an attack target. Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls.

this is the frog’s version of Mirror Force, when this card is used, many people are like WTF just happened?, it’s a nice card to use to suprise your opponent.
