Dragon Nest SEA Swordmaster Critical Build for Level 40

Dragon Nest SEA Swordmaster 10k Critical Build for Level 40 Guide [3 Builds + Analysis] by AikawaKazu

Greetings to all

Lvl32 Critical Build Guide Link : Dragon Nest SEA Swordmaster Critical Build for Level 32

This is going to be a very long read ; be mentally prepared.

I’ve decided to post the guide here first before posting on my blog because I know that there are more people that view the CC forums instead of mine. Hence I hope my guide will be able to benefit more people which is the whole point anyway.

Please appreciate the fact that I’ve done so and after reading help me out ;D (read the end of the thread ;D)

Introduction.

This guide will help you decide which build you will want to go for to hit 10k Critical in 40 CAP

There are THREE possible builds here.

Before jumping into the builds itself, please read on with regards to the concept behind crit 17% potentials as well as other questions from other players that might also be of concern to you

I know that the primary concerns for most players are the following:

1. Can I still reach 10k Critical Cap without losing out on too much base damage?

A: Yes, I have 2.4k Patk and 10484 Critical currently.

2. I want to hit 10k Critical Cap while still using Bear/Wise accessories and Destruction/Magician rings.

A: Yes you can, but be prepared to have at least 4 crit 17% potentials from 2 rings and both main and secondary weapon. Also have 7 3rd stat Critical Heraldries. Check out Build 1

3. Can I hit 10k Critical Cap with no 3rd stat critical Heraldries?

A: Unfortunately not highly possible, with the current lvl 32 gears.

4. Can I hit 10k Critical Cap without any critical 17% on my rings? (i.e Crit Potentials from Weapons only)

A: Yes but you will need 7 Lvl32 Premium 3rd Stat Critical Heraldry and Fatal Violet Rings

5. What’s the cheapest way to hit 10k Critical?

A: Check out build 3

I think this covers most of the questions most players have in mind with regards to achieving 10k Critical for Lvl40 Cap

I’ll simply make a build for each and every question which leads to a combination of items you will need to achieve that.

From there you can choose YOUR WAY of making your way to 10k Critical.

I will firstly share my build of reaching 10k Critical Cap which I’ve already reached.

Before that however, please carry on reading first.

Important Concept about Crit 17% Potentials

Critical 17% potentials are not as effective as they may seem to be.

You can have 4 crit 17% potentials and still have very long critical stat.

Why?

Because this crit 17% potentials only apply to YOUR BASE CRITICAL

Base Critical is calculated from this :

Base Critical = Critical Gained from Gears (rings, heraldries, accessories etc) + AGI Stat (1 AGI = 3.5 Crit)

Finally take this value and multiply by 1.xx

Where XX = total critical % from the number of critical 17% potentials you have + 0.2 from prem fatal heraldry.

I.e if you have 3 crit 17% potentials, xx =71 (51% from crit potentials ; 20% from prem fatal heraldry)

Maxmium possible percentage increase = 88% (4 crit 17% potentials and 20% from Premium Fatal Heraldry)

Hence overall critical will be :

Base Critical x 1.xx

Hence if your base critical is low, the amount of critical you benefit from crit 17% potentials will be significantly lower!

This can be seen from this example:

1000 crit x 1.17 = 1170 critical

3000 crit x 1.17 = 3510 Critical

The 3k Critical got 510 Critical compared to the first where it only had a 170 Critical Gain.

Hence your Base Critical is very important!

This is where having wind crafted gears and 3rd stat critical heraldries come in.

They increase your base critical by a lot, making the crit 17% potentials much more effective.

Having your doubts of the way it’s calculated?

Read on, my current stats with my calculations tallies with what I have in-game.

AikawaKazu’s 10484 Critical Build (Based on Latest Stats)

Base AGI = 808 = 2828 crit

Crit Gained from Weapons = 253 +46 = 299 Crit

2 x Fatal Ruby Rings – 750 Crit

3rd Stat Crit Heraldries – 259crit(3) 369crit(2), Overall : 1515 Crit

32 Premium Fatal Heraldry = 739 crit

Overall Base Critical = 2828 + + 299 + 750 + 1515 + 739 = 6131 crit

Total Critical = 6131 x 1.71 = 10484.01

Actual Critical In-Game = 10484 (hence proven that my calculation is correct for critical stat)

Analysis

I’ve 5 3rd stat Critical Heraldries, 3 24 Premium and 2 32 Premium

The best 3rd stat you can go for Fatal Heraldry is AGI, which I’ve also gotten, which is another 119 Critical.

Do note that in 40 CAP you have another 2 enhancement heraldry slots. In that case you can have up to 7 heraldries with 3rd stat Critical.

So for myself, the next 2 enhancement plates I’ll go for plates with patk/matk to further boost my base patk/matk

Anyway the main idea is this.

Find some method to get your base crit to 6131 if you’re looking at THREE Crit 17% potentials.

Find some method to get your base crit to 5500 if you’re looking at FOUR Crit 17% potentials.

Any of the above will get you to 10k critical.

I’m going to be showing 3 builds.

Build 1 : Most Expensive Build & Most damage output (Based on Lvl 32 Gears)

4 x Crit 17% Potentials ( Destruction/Magician Rings ; Bear/Wise Accessories)
Overview of Required Items
Full Wind Crafted Gears + 7 4.5% AGI Potentials

TWO Destruction/Magician Violet Rings (AGI) with Crit 17% Potential
TWO Weapons (Main&Secondary;) with Crit 17% Potential
SEVEN Lvl32 Premium 3rd Stat Critical Heraldry

Calculations

Assuming that you’re using full 32 epics armors crafted wind:

Base AGI @ 32 Cap = 108 AGI

AGI From 32 Epics Crafted Wind = 110 AGI

AGI From Accessories = 107 (Destruction Violet Rings with AGI, and Necklace/Earrings with AGI)

AGI from Premium Wind Heraldry (32) = 68 AGI

AGI from Weapons ; Destruction/Wind Prefix 40 Cap = 33 AGI

AGI from 3rd stat AGI Heraldry = 34AGI

Total AGI = 426 x 1.1 (prem wind heraldry) = 506

Overall AGI with AGI 4.5% Potentials(armors + necklace/earring only) :

506 x 1.315(4.5% x7) = 665.39 AGI

639.879 AGI = 2328.865 Crit

32 Premium Fatal Heraldry = 739 Crit

7 Premium 32 3rd stat Critical Heraldry = 2583 Crit

Overall Base Critical = 5650.865 Critical

Total Critical With 4 x Critical 17% Potentials :

5650.865 x 1.88 = 10623 Critical

Analysis

So yes, those people looking into no fatal rings and wind accessories can go for this build.

You will have maximum damage output from your necklace/earrings being bear/wise as well as using destruction/magician rings.

Unfortunately, you still have to go for wind crafted gears, maybe one/two parts lesser out of the 4 available ones since lvl 40 cap will have new lvl40 epic gears that will definitely give more base agi, so it’s still possible to craft one/two bear/intellect gears.

This is especially important for int/crit builds because you want to get as much INT stat as possible!

Note that I’ve not taken into account another 4 possible 4.5% AGI hidden potentials from 2 rings and weapons because to get crit potentials and crit at the same time is highly unlikely as well as expensive. However, to get 4.5 AGI from 5 armors and necklace/earrings is highly possible. So this is not the full potential of the build, you definitely can tweak it more to squeeze out even more patk/matk.

This is the most expensive build because destruction/magician rings with crit prices are way above what anyone can afford.

If you’re planning to go this build, I strongly suggest into investing in intermediate diamond codes now and code/revert yourself to get them. Buying from a player will probably cost you 10k gold or more if you’re talking about destruction violet rings which is what I used as a basis here.

Build 2 : Semi-Expensive Build
3 x Crit 17% Potentials ( Fatal Violet Rings ; Wind Melanie Accessories )
Overview of Required Items
Full Wind Crafted Gears + 7 4.5% AGI Potentials

Fatal Violet Ring (1) with Crit 17% potentials
2 Weapons with Crit 17% Potentials
THREE Lvl32 Premium 3rd Stat Critical Heraldry
or

FOUR Lvl24 Premium 3rd Stat Crit Heraldry

Calculations

Assuming that you’re using full 32 epic armors crafted wind:

Base AGI @ 32 CAP = 108 AGI

AGI from 32 Epic Crafted Wind = 110 AGI

AGI from Accessories = 50 + 232 = 282 AGI

AGI From Premium Wind Heraldry (32) = 68 AGI

AGI from Weapons ; Destruction/Wind Prefix = 33 AGI

AGI from 3rd Stat AGI Heraldry =34 AGI

Total AGI = 635 x 1.1 = 698.5 AGI

Overall AGI with AGI 4.5% Potentials (5) = 698.5 x 1.315 = 918.5275 AGI

918.5275 AGI = 3214.84625 Crit

32 Premium Fatal Heraldry = 739 Crit

2 x Fatal Violet Rings = 554 x 2 = 1108 Crit

Base Crit = 5061 Crit (1108+739+3214)

Number of Prem 24/32 3rd Stat Crit Heraldries Needed :

6131 – 5061 = 1070 Critical ( How much more critical you need to hit 6131 critical )

1070 / 259 = 4 Lvl24 Premium 3rd Stat Critical Heraldry

1070/ 359 = 2.83 = 3 Lvl32 Premium 3rd Stat Critical Heraldry

Basically this build is utilizing the fact that fatal violet ring prices will definitely drop as Lvl 40 cap is released, and they give very high base crit.

It also shows that you only need 4 3rd Stat Crit Lvl24 Premium Heraldry, meaning that you can have 3 of your heraldries go patk/matk 3rd stat! This will help you boost your patk/matk further!

You also only need 1 crit ring instead of 2 compared to the above.

Start saving up Epic Intermediate Diamond Codes to code/revert your own fatal violet ring for a critical potential!

This build is recommended for people who are planning ahead, i.e saving up intermediate diamond codes to code the new fatal rings once 40 cap is out, yes there will be even a better fatal ring in 40 cap.

This allows you to use even lesser 3rd stat crit heraldries or craft lesser pieces of armor into wind.

Build 3 : Recommended (In terms of cost and feasibility)
3 x Critical 17% Potentials ( 2 Fatal Kara Rings ; Wind Melanie Accessories )
Important Requirements
Full Wind Crafted Gears + 7 4.5% AGI Potentials

Fatal Kara Ring (1) with Crit 17% potentials
2 Weapons with Crit 17% Potentials
4 Lvl32 Premium 3rd Stat Critical Heraldry
or

5 Lvl24 Premium 3rd Stat Crit Heraldry

Calculations

Base AGI @ 32 CAP = 108 AGI

AGI from 32 Epic Crafted Wind = 110 AGI

AGI from Accessories = 38 + 232 = 270 AGI

AGI From Premium Wind Heraldry (32) = 68 AGI

AGI from Weapons ; Destruction/Wind Prefix = 33 AGI

AGI from 3rd Stat AGI Heraldry =34 AGI

Total AGI = 623 x 1.1 = 685.3 AGI

Overall AGI with AGI 4.5% Potentials (5) = 698.5 x 1.315 = 901.1695 AGI

901.1695 AGI = 3154 Crit

32 Premium Fatal Heraldry = 739 Crit

Crit From Fatal Kara Rings = 920 crit

Base Crit (Without 3rd stat crit heraldry) = 4813 Crit

Number of Prem 24/32 3rd Stat Crit Heraldries Needed :

6131 – 4813 = 1318 crit

1318 / 259 = 5.08 = 5

1948 / 369 = 3.57 = 4

Basically this build utilizes the fact that Fatal Kara Rings have a higher base crit than fatal ruby rings which are the ones I’m using. The prices for Fatal Kara Rings with crit potentials are also steadily dropping. You can wait until lvl 40 cap for their prices to drop even further but I believe this is a good period to buy them. Don’t spend more than 3k Gold on them if you’re planning to buy 1.

If not, start farming DTMI and save up to 30 codes/reverts to try and code a ring.

Yes you only need 1 crit ring!

So overall this build only uses 4 3rd Stat Crit heraldry if you’re using 32 premium, allowing you another 3 heraldries with 3rd stat patk/matk to further boost your base damage!

This is definitely the build that is much more affordable to everyone out there compared to the above 2 builds.

Final Analysis

Basically, my current build is similar to build 3, which is the most cost effective build to hit 10k critical.

The only worry for most of you is that your base dmg will be low compared to those who used build one.

But not to worry, look at me? I’ve 2.4k patk and 1.6k Matk, which is higher than many people that go even pure builds.

Remember Critical Builds damage output is not based on the numbers you see on your character page.

Also your base dmg is very very highly dependent on getting those patk/matk/crit potentials together.

You can’t be satisified with a agi/str/crit potentials for example, or even int/crit or str/crit potentials

Getting the FOUR 5.8% Patk OR MAtk potentials is FUNDEMENTAL in critical builds.

Last but not least,

You will definitely need at least +10 40 Rare Weapons to have decent base patk/matk so if you’re planning to have only +6 weapons, either (quit the game, kidding) or start farming those comet dusts to get those Lvl40 spiral/vortex pouches so that you need not rely on jellies!

I hope this guide helped clear up some questions I’ve mentioned regarding achieving 10k Critical in 32/40 CAP.
