The Fastest Way to Get Money from Steam

by Koby Pearson

After I lost motivation to spend my free time playing games on Steam, I have decided to sell my account for real money. I had been actively purchasing new releases and my account was full of 5-star games such as GTA V, The Witcher 3, Skyrim etc. And due to a vast majority of hijacked accounts that are being sold on online marketplaces for nothing, the value of my own profile was underpriced so that I felt like there was no way I could sold it.

But after I enabled my problem-solving skills in order to get some real cash for the Steam account where I invested enormous amount of money and time, I have found a solution. And today, I want to share it with you.

As I told you before, there are two categories of needs that might interest the end consumer: your inventory or your games. It is very rare to meet somebody interested in the both, so we need to separate the selling process in two parts.

Firstly, we need to sell our inventory; and then, our account with games.

How to Sell Your Steam Inventory

Once I have figured out that I need to sell my inventory first, I thought it would be a time-consuming assignment, and I had some kind of “half-ass” approach towards it. If you have ever traded on CSGOLounge, you will understand me. In case you are not, trust me, you don’t want to know about all the pitfalls of this vicious cycle.

But luckily, it turned out that it’s never been easier to sell your CS:GO skins than right now. All you need to do is sign up on DMarket, go to their sell CS:GO skins page, select the items you want to sell, and receive the immediate payout.

And that’s all you need to do. Crazy, right?

How to Sell Your Steam Account

This step is a little bit harder, but it doesn’t require much effort as well. So, if you want to sell your Steam account, the first step would be placing your offer on popular gaming forums (for me, Reddit worked well).

Then, if you have a fair amount of good games, you will receive many offers. Make sure to bargain over the price even if a buyer offers a pretty much decent amount of cash. If they disagree, you always can move backwards; but usually, buyers make you the lowest possible offer and then start raising it. So, don’t get fooled by that.

Another recommendation I would give you is asking for a help of a trusted middleman before you give a full access to your account to somebody else. Although, you will lose some percentage of money for this, you won’t get scammed as well. It’s totally worth it. Otherwise, don’t make the first move, there are plenty of fraudsters out there.

Conclusion

To sum up, selling virtual property has never been easier than it is right now. Thus, if you get bored of playing games, it might be a perfect time to say goodbye to your time-consuming routine. Moreover, using the tips I have outlined above will make this rewarding.
