Aika SEA Priest Guide
Aika SEA Priest Guide by Hotaka
I. Introduction to the Priest class
People who underestimates the Priests are just fooling themselves. Priests in Aika are not just pure supporters, they can be a damage dealing class too. A priest damage fairs just a little weaker than a Night Magicians’, but they still do a decent amount of damage and have more buffs to cover the loss. If you want to be a priest though, you have to know how to share the love. ‘Cause saving lives always comes first.
II. Patient Priorities
Saving lives is a fact, but WHO to save first – is the important thing in game. Because of how the heals in this game work, it is easier for priests to heal one person taking more damage (the tank) than an entire team taking less. This will become apparent to you the first time your tank loses control over the mobs. If the tank dies, the mobs will scatter and start attacking multiple people at once. Trying to heal everybody will often result in either A) people not getting enough healing and dying or B) running out of mana, and then they die anyway. Therefore, the main job of a priest is to keep the tank alive. If the tank dies, you should resurrect her (paladins are female) while the mobs tear the other teammates to shreds. This may seem cruel, but things will turn out better that way.
III. Worst Case Scenarios
When your in a dungeon with one tank, and the tank dies, monster(s) tend to attack the other teammates. But to flee, or to hold the ground? Well, that’s the other team member’s choice. Your one and only goal at that time is to find a way to revive that tank – or die trying. Other than the health bars, you should also look at the debuffs your tank/teammates get. Some can be very harmful – Well, just an advice.
IV. Best Case Scenarios
Other than the worst, the best is a much more lively thing to talk about. But even then, it doesn’t mean you’ll always be successful. Well, the best scenario is that the mob(s) target your teammates other than you, so you can revive your tank way faster without getting interrupted.
V. On The Edge
Well, not everyone is successful in the both scenarios. What if most of the monsters targets you? Ahh, that’s a whole different situation. What you got to do is just… RUN! Or what players from the FPS genre says – Spray and Pray! Just run for your life and hope that your teammates get the monsters off your tail! (if they have not already left the scene…) I know, that very much sounds like a weakling, but to heck with that! Your one of the most important assets of your party and you being alive produces alive and kicking members.
VI. Kick The Bucket
Pretty straightforward. Open up your Cash Shop(J), get a revive ticket, and get back in. If you got no Cash… Well, just do the normal – Spam good luck wishes in the party chat box.
VII. Boredom Kills
Sometimes, killing can get pretty boring. And all you want is that last exp reward for that particular quest your doing. So your party have decided to skip through a part of monsters – this is where your Haste skill comes in. You have to buff your teammates with haste and also let the Tanker lead the way for him/her to be the first to pass through the aggro range of the monsters. Stay close to the Tanker but never go ahead of him. In a tough situation, your best shot at winning is to remain calm and pay very close attention to what the tanker is doing.
VIII. Basic Skills
Magic Sensor (Insight)
“Removes and cloaking spells within 6 meters radius of designated point.”
This is an AoE skill that is given to you maxed at the start of the game. It casts instantly, costs virtually nothing, and recharges quickly making it easy to cast around randomly when defending a choke point during a relic raid or at a specific location after seeing an enemy turn invisible. It is also useful in PvE as a pulling/mobbing tool because it’s a quick way to draw aggro from range without spending mana. It basically counts as an attack since it removes a charge of divine ward on enemy crusaders too.
Purification (Purify)
“Removes one curse from a friendly force”
Since you can only remove one curse at a time, you have to know which curse to remove first. Get used to the curses the monsters make in game and this skill will take your gameplay knowledge up a level. Also, you can only remove curses with a RED outline. Curses with PURPLE outlines can’t be removed.
IX. Tier 1 Skills
Holy Bolt (Holy Arrow)
“Deals magic damage to target by shooting a divine arrow. Additional X% damage is inflicted to undead and devil.”
Level 1 – 53 Base Damage – 150% Extra Damage = 33 Extra Damage
Level 2 – 65 Base Damage – 152% Extra Damage = 41 Extra Damage
Level 3 – 87 Base Damage – 154% Extra Damage = 56 Extra Damage
Level 4 – 111 Base Damage – 156% Extra Damage = 70 Extra Damage
Level 5 – 139 Base Damage – 158% Extra Damage = 88 Extra Damage
Level 6 – 173 Base Damage – 160% Extra Damage = 109 Extra Damage
Level 7 – 209 Base Damage – 162% Extra Damage = 132 Extra Damage
Level 8 – 255 Base Damage – 164% Extra Damage = 161 Extra Damage
Level 9 – 308 Base Damage – 166% Extra Damage = 194 Extra Damage
Level 10 – 373 Base Damage – 168% Extra Damage = 235 Extra Damage
Level 11 – 450 Base Damage – 170% Extra Damage = 284 Extra Damage
Level 12 – 530 Base Damage – 172% Extra Damage = 334 Extra Damage
Level 13 – 626 Base Damage – 174% Extra Damage = 394 Extra Damage
This skill is your main basic attack until level 27 where you get your next skill “Ugenes Lux”. 1 point will already be added when you log into game, so just spam this skill.
Cure
“Recovers HP of friendly force.”
Level 1 – Heals 93 HP – Costs 46 Mana
Level 2 – Heals 124 HP – Costs 61 Mana
Level 3 – Heals 155 HP – Costs 77 Mana
Level 4 – Heals 190 HP – Costs 94 Mana
Level 5 – Heals 235 HP – Costs 116 Mana
Level 6 – Heals 280 HP – Costs 139 Mana
Level 7 – Heals 337 HP – Costs 167 Mana
Level 8 – Heals 404 HP – Costs 200 Mana
Level 9 – Heals 484 HP – Costs 240 Mana
Level 10 – Heals 579 HP – Costs 287 Mana
Level 11 – Heals 676 HP – Costs 336 Mana
Level 12 – Heals 789 HP – Costs 391 Mana
This is your main healing skill. Cure might be a little hard to cast while getting hit by monsters as it has a 1 second casting time, thus you will get interrupted frequently. Nevertheless, keep adding points to it until you get your second core healing skill at level 40 “Recovery”.
Magic/Mana Shield (Angelic Armor)
“Absorbs Physical Damage and decreases 25% of area effect Physical Damage by generating Magic Shield around oneself or friendly force.”
Level 1 – Absorbs 258 Damage – Costs 103 Mana
Level 2 – Absorbs 336 Damage – Costs 134 Mana
Level 3 – Absorbs 420 Damage – Costs 168 Mana
Level 4 – Absorbs 522 Damage – Costs 209 Mana
Level 5 – Absorbs 642 Damage – Costs 257 Mana
Level 6 – Absorbs 774 Damage – Costs 310 Mana
Level 7 – Absorbs 936 Damage – Costs 374 Mana
Level 8 – Absorbs 1134 Damage – Costs 454 Mana
Level 9 – Absorbs 1374 Damage – Costs 550 Mana
Level 10 – Absorbs 1632 Damage – Costs 653 Mana
Level 11 – Absorbs 1926 Damage – Costs 770 Mana
Level 12 – Absorbs 2262 Damage – Costs 905 Mana
This skill basically just absorbs the amount of damage for a duration of 60 seconds. It’s a useful skill during low level, but starts to get weaker over time. I suggest adding points into this skill until you get the skill called “Prevention Cure”.
Bless
“Increases Physical Attack and Magic Attack of friendly force.”
Level 1 – Adds 11 Physical attack and 17 Magic Attack – Costs 98 Mana
Level 2 – Adds 16 Physical attack and 21 Magic Attack – Costs 122 Mana
Level 3 – Adds 20 Physical attack and 25 Magic Attack – Costs 151 Mana
Level 4 – Adds 24 Physical attack and 31 Magic Attack – Costs 190 Mana
Level 5 – Adds 28 Physical attack and 37 Magic Attack – Costs 236 Mana
Level 6 – Adds 34 Physical attack and 44 Magic Attack – Costs 285 Mana
Level 7 – Adds 40 Physical attack and 52 Magic Attack – Costs 342 Mana
Level 8 – Adds 48 Physical attack and 61 Magic Attack – Costs 409 Mana
Level 9 – Adds 56 Physical attack and 72 Magic Attack – Costs 497 Mana
Level 10 – Adds 64 Physical attack and 83 Magic Attack – Costs 598 Mana
Level 11 – Adds 74 Physical attack and 96 Magic Attack – Costs 708 Mana
This skill is useful at low levels, especially when your soloing as you’ll be relying only on your basic attack “Holy Bolt”. At level 40, you’ll get another skill called “Holy Striking”, which – too adds additional damage and cost much less skill points. Bless is useful, thus i recommend adding points into it if your planning to reskill at some point. If not, its your choice to put points into it or not.
Hand of Cure (Rejuvenate)
“Recovers HP of oneself or friendly force every 2 seconds. Lasts for 10 seconds.”
Level 1 – Heals 42 HP – Costs 103 Mana
Level 2 – Heals 52 HP – Costs 134 Mana
Level 3 – Heals 63 HP – Costs 168 Mana
Level 4 – Heals 77 HP – Costs 209 Mana
Level 5 – Heals 92 HP – Costs 257 Mana
Level 6 – Heals 111 HP – Costs 310 Mana
Level 7 – Heals 133 HP – Costs 374 Mana
Level 8 – Heals 159 HP – Costs 454 Mana
Level 9 – Heals 187 HP – Costs 550 Mana
Level 10 – Heals 219 HP – Costs 653 Mana
Level 11 – Heals 254 HP – Costs 770 Mana
This is your secondary healing spell. It’s a waste to put any points to it in my opinion. Not really good to keep a player alive. Though if you do want to put any points into it, i’d rather you max it than leave it as a cliffhanger. So it’s either don’t add at all, or add all of it.
Resurrection (Resurrect)
“Revives party member. Some HP and MP of revived party member is also recovered.”
Level 1 – 10% HP & MP Recovered – 33 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 222 Mana
Level 2 – 20% HP & MP Recovered – 30 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 274 Mana
Level 3 – 30% HP & MP Recovered – 27 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 359 Mana
Level 4 – 40% HP & MP Recovered – 24 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 429 Mana
Level 5 – 50% HP & MP Recovered – 21 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 518 Mana
Level 6 – 60% HP & MP Recovered – 18 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 621 Mana
Level 7 – 70% HP & MP Recovered – 15 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 744 Mana
Level 8 – 80% HP & MP Recovered – 12 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 943 Mana
Level 9 – 90% HP & MP Recovered – 9 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 1103 Mana
Level 10 – 100% HP & MP Recovered – 6 Seconds Cooldown – Costs 1286 Mana
When a player dies in a dungeon they have 60 seconds to be resurrected before they are automatically kicked out of the dungeon and can no longer participate unless they use the dungeon recall – which most of them won’t. This is why priests are needed – Resurrect. 1 point into it gives you the full benefit, though you might consider putting some extra points in there if you want – It doesn’t hurt. I would put this skill at the back of the priorities, so only add it if you have extra skill points. Do not go pass 5 points on this though, it’ll be a waste.
X. Tier 2 Skills
Heist (Haste)
“Increases Move Speed of friendly force for certain period.”
Level 1 – Adds 5 Speed – Costs 159 MP
Level 2 – Adds 6 Speed – Costs 208 MP
Level 3 – Adds 7 Speed – Costs 248 MP
Level 4 – Adds 8 Speed – Costs 297 MP
Level 5 – Adds 9 Speed – Costs 358 MP
Level 6 – Adds 10 Speed – Costs 429 MP
Level 7 – Adds 11 Speed – Costs 521 MP
Level 8 – Adds 12 Speed – Costs 625 MP
Level 9 – Adds 13 Speed – Costs 734 MP
Level 10 – Adds 15 Speed – Costs 891 MP
Haste is a great skill that lasts for 10 minutes. Who doesn’t want to move fast without taking the Cash potion? Haste is also critical when escaping from enemies in PvP and PvE.
Sun Ray (Holy Signet)
“Continuously deals magic damage for certain period and make the target sensitive to Divine Magic.”
Level 1 – 36 Damage – Costs 108 MP
Level 2 – 44 Damage – Costs 133 MP
Level 3 – 53 Damage – Costs 160 MP
Level 4 – 65 Damage – Costs 194 MP
Level 5 – 78 Damage – Costs 234 MP
Level 6 – 95 Damage – Costs 284 MP
Level 7 – 112 Damage – Costs 335 MP
Level 8 – 132 Damage – Costs 396 MP
This spell is totally useless in PvP. It can’t debuff players as players doesn’t have a racial type. Oh and did you know this skill is an AoE debuff spell? Yeah. The damage isn’t high, in fact – it’s useless. All you need is the debuff effect.
Holy Activation (Exalt)
“Increases heal ability and decreases MP consumption of all healing skills.”
Level 1 – Increases 30 Heal Amount – Save 10% MP
Level 2 – Increases 60 Heal Amount – Save 12% MP
Level 3 – Increases 90 Heal Amount – Save 14% MP
Level 4 – Increases 120 Heal Amount – Save 16% MP
Level 5 – Increases 150 Heal Amount – Save 18% MP
Level 6 – Increases 180 Heal Amount – Save 20% MP
Level 7 – Increases 210 Heal Amount – Save 22% MP
Level 8 – Increases 240 Heal Amount – Save 24% MP
This skill might look good. But your class already focuses mostly on heals there’s not much difference in putting any points here. You might still want to consider if your always running low on MP though.
Shroud of Turin (Need Confirmation for Aika SEA.)
Mass Cure (Healing Corona)
“Recovers HP of all party members within 6 meter radius.”
Level 1 – Heals 441 HP – Costs 103 MP
Level 2 – Heals 530 HP – Costs 134 MP
Level 3 – Heals 638 HP – Costs 168 MP
Level 4 – Heals 764 HP – Costs 209 MP
Level 5 – Heals 900 HP – Costs 257 MP
Level 6 – Heals 1053 HP – Costs 310 MP
Level 7 – Heals 1229 HP – Costs 374 MP
In my opinion this skill is just useless. AoE heal may sound good, but the cast time just makes it an epic fail. 3 seconds is just making yourself a target practice. You can add this skill if you want to use it as a party control – including the fact that you aren’t being targeted by any monsters.
Ugenes Lux (Holy Tempest)
“Deals magic damage to all enemies within 4 meters of designated points. Additional 50% damage is inflicted to undead and devil.”
Level 1 – 284 Damage – Costs 213 MP
Level 2 – 344 Damage – Costs 258 MP
Level 3 – 416 Damage – Costs 312 MP
Level 4 – 504 Damage – Costs 378 MP
Level 5 – 596 Damage – Costs 447 MP
Level 6 – 702 Damage – Costs 527 MP
Ugenes Lux is the best attack skill a priest will ever get. And be happy you’ll get it at level 27. It casts instantly and have a short 3 second cooldown. Use Sun Ray before this and you’ll get a 50% damage bonus. The 50% bonus doesn’t work in PvP, but who cares? Just the damage is good enough. Having an AoE skill also means – MORE FASTER GRINDING !
XI. Tier 3 Skills
Mana Release (Rapture)
“Recovers MP continuously for all party members within certain radius.”
Level 1 – Restore 109 MP
Level 2 – Restore 130 MP
Level 3 – Restore 165 MP
Level 4 – Restore 193 MP
Level 5 – Restore 225 MP
This will be your first Tier 3 skill. In Mana Release, the amount recovered isn’t that much. If you’re planning to use potions, I wouldn’t suggest going for this skill. But if you intend to put any points into this, however, it’s fine. You can even max it if you want. But in my opinion, just not worth it.
Prevention Cure (Holy Intervention)
“Automatically recovers HP of oneself or friendly force if the HP goes below 50% or after one minute, whichever comes first.”
Level 1 – Heals 663 HP – Costs 292 MP
Level 2 – Heals 797 HP – Costs 351 MP
Level 3 – Heals 936 HP – Costs 412 MP
Level 4 – Heals 1094 HP – Costs 481 MP
Level 5 – Heals 1272 HP – Costs 560 MP
This is your best lifesaving skill. It heals a great deal of HP during high levels. The cooldown is long, but it’s reasonable since the HP healed is such a big amount. Definitely worth putting points in.
Shield of Nikita (Desperate Prayer)
“Gives immunity to all attacks for certain period but casting is not allowed.”
Level 1 – 3 Second Duration – 180 Second Cooldown – Costs 372 MP
Level 2 – 3 Second Duration – 170 Second Cooldown – Costs 473 MP
Level 3 – 3 Second Duration – 160 Second Cooldown – Costs 552 MP
Level 4 – 4 Second Duration – 160 Second Cooldown – Costs 643 MP
This spell is great for PvP. If you’re lucky you cast this before the enemy uses his/her hyper attack skill and you’ll block it while running away. In PvE, the monsters just follow you like a shadow so it’s really optional.
Feedback Magic (Penance)
“Removes buff of target and deals damage for each buff.”
Level 1 – 2 Buffs Removed – 360 Damage Dealt – Costs 160 MP
Level 2 – 2 Buffs Removed – 428 Damage Dealt – Costs 193 MP
Level 3 – 3 Buffs Removed – 504 Damage Dealt – Costs 227 MP
Level 4 – 3 Buffs Removed – 593 Damage Dealt – Costs 267 MP
This is a totally optional spell. It’s mainly for PvP use only. The damage dealt is acceptable, but the number of buffs removed is not really high. Keep it at level 1 or 3, else don’t put any points in it.
Holy Striking (Archangel’s Light)
“Blesses weapons of friendly force inflicting additional damage for undead and devil for certain period.”
Level 1 – 10% Additional Damage – Costs 519 MP
Level 2 – 12% Additional Damage – Costs 607 MP
Level 3 – 14% Additional Damage – Costs 708 MP
This is another skill that increases damage, but only to demons and undead. Use it right after Sun Ray and you can turn all monsters to undead, which makes the additional damage apply to every monster. The damage is okay during low levels, but fantastic pass Tier 4. Putting any points into it is your choice, I would definitely recommend putting points into it when the level cap is raised, though.
Recovery (Revelation)
“Recovers HP of friendly force greatly and removes all curses or negative buffs.”
Level 1 – Heals 1737 HP – Costs 764 MP
Level 2 – Heals 2028 HP – Costs 892 MP
Level 3 – Heals 2367 HP – Costs 1041 MP
This is a healing skill that (can) replaces Cure. It has a 2 second cast time but heals a GREAT deal. The cooldown is fast, so it’s very helpful. It also removes all debuffs on the target, which makes this skill a win win. Add points into this skill as soon as you can.
XII. My Skill Build
“(Save)” Means to not add any skill points for that level, and just save up for future use.
“=” Means how many extra skill points you are left with.
I suggest reskill-ing at level 27, level 40, and maybe at level 50(Since from level 50 it’s pure grind). Go to the Priest skill master in Military District and reskill.
