If you are having trouble deciding what class is best for your hero in Lords Online, here is a guide to help you out.

Steps

1. Decide what type of combat you like! Make your decision based on the skills you will enjoy using the most in the game. Think about whether you most enjoy creating damage, attacking from afar, or cruising through the game with with an evenhanded manner.

2. Identify the skills/advantages of each class. Obviously, each of the classes carries a different way of playing. Read through the following for details before you make your choice:

Warrior

1. – Warriors are mostly melee fighters. They have weak to no ranged attack…and their magic attacks are next to nonexistant. Therefore, and as presumed, warriors have the far more health and defense than other classes. Attacking melee is sometimes boring, but the sheer damage of every hit makes it worthwhile.

– Warriors do a lot of damage at lower and higher levels, but are often eclipsed by Mages in the intermediate zone. At this point, Warriors seem pretty pathetic, especially lacking a ranged attack, but don’t give up!

– Also, it is debatable to choose 2H, or 2handed, weapons over 1H weapons. The good news is that you can use both. It is just a personal preference. 2H swords deal more damage than 1H swords, but you cannot wield a shield along with it.

Simply Said:

2H Swords have a higher attack than 1H Swords but less defense.
1H Swords have a lower attack that 2H Swords but more defense.

Pros
– Highest HP and Defense of all classes
– Variety for weapon types
– Can choose between 1H and 2H weapons
– High raw damage
– Easiest class to train in the early stages

Cons
– Little to nonexistent ranged and magical attacks
– Low avoidability..you are going to loose HP in almost every battle you fight.
– Hard to train in the later stages, due to there not being a good ranged attack, and battles lasting longer because of that.

Thief

1. Thieves are a very interesting class in Lords Online. They are the least used class and their stats are very easy to mess up, but they are interesting to train and level up! Thieves have the highest defense of all classes and 2nd highest physical attack, and for overall attack, they are about equal to mages. Their main weapon is the dagger, which has the highest attack bonus for a 1H weapon.

Pros
– Uncommon, if you are a thief, you have a better chance of being known just because you are one!
– Higher 1H weapon attack bonuses than warriors, which means they can wield shields also!
– High physical defense and higher magical defense than warriors.
– Cheap equipment due to there not being many thieves.

Cons
– Lower HP than warriors, and this can hurt, as thieves are close combat fighters.
– Lower strength than warriors, as thieves have to put potential into agility also.
– No 2H weapon
– Little to nonexistent ranged and magical attacks
– Low avoidability..you are going to loose HP in almost every battle you fight.
– Hard to train in the later stages, due to there not being a good ranged attack, and battles lasting longer because of that.

Magician

1. Mages are the most popular type of hero in Lords Online! They are all over the top rankings for heroes! They are popular due to their ability to attack enemies from afar and deal significant damage. Also, at the moment, they are the most helpful in “Lords Mode” also…due to the Hero’s ability to attack a castle with a spell while attacking another player. Even though all classes can do that, Mages have the most effective attack due to them having the highest magic attack of all of the classes.

Pros
– Highest ranged damage
– Spells are most beneficial to Mages
– Highest magical defense
– Best class for Lords Mode due to having the highest damage for casting spells
– Cheaper equipment later on due to there being lots of “Hand downs” from higher level players.
– Able to “1 Hit” groups of monsters due to spells and high magic damage
– Highest overall damage when using spells
– Fast training

Cons
– Unless you are a top ranked Mage, you will not be known due to there being many Mages.
– Low physical defense
– Low damage against Magic using NPCs/Monsters
– Low HP

Archer

1. Bowmen are the most balanced class in Lords Online, even though they are very hard to train in the beginning stages, and their stats are easy to mess up, later on they become one of the “Better Classes”.

Pros
– Decent ranged attacks
– Great magical and physical defense

Cons
– Terrible attack in the lower levels
– Hard to train in the lower levels
– Bad magic damage and spell damage
– Low HP

– Choose what best suits your game-playing skills.
– Don’t try to go with the flow. If everyone likes mages or thieves, you don’t have to like it. Choose what class you want.
– Mages and warriors get hurt a lot. The difference is that warriors have more HP and better physical attack and mages have a great magical attack.
