Genshin Impact Traveler Anemo Support Build Guide

by Nikakosa

Starting off, I’d recommend using the traveler as a support mainly. S/He can be a DPS however, there are much more suitable DPS heroes out there. That being said though, there is no reason to not have them as a DPS if you’d like. Everything in this guide is purely my opinion on the character. Everyone will have differing opinions. This guide is meant to provide information for those that are a little lost. Please feel free to knit-pick and rip me to shreds.

———————————————————————————

~~ TL;DR ~~

————————————-

~ Anemo DPS ~

—-

Weapon: Skyward Blade (5*)(P2P), Fillet Blade (3*)(F2P)

Artifacts: Gladiator’s Finale (2) & Viridescent Venerer (2)

~ Anemo Support ~

—-

Weapon: Iron Sting (4*)

Artifacts: Viridescent Venerer (4)

———————————————————————————

~~ Anemo DPS ~~

————————————-

~ Weapon ~

I recommend using one of the following weapons:

Skyward Blade (5*), ProtoType Rancour (4*), Fillet Blade (3*)

————————————-

Skyward Blade

—-

Main Stat: Attack

Sub-Stat: Energy Recharge

I recommend Skyward blade to maximize Traveler’s DMG potential through Crit’s and it’s fantastic effect, which is more obtainable thanks to its Sub-Stat. The effect increases a plethora of different stats after an Elemental Burst is used. Including: Movement Speed (10%), Attack Speed (10%), and Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 20% for 12s.

Crit Rate increased by 4/5/6/7/8%. Gains Skypiercing Might upon using Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and increases the DMG of Normal and Charged Attack hits by 20/25/30/35/40% for 12s.

————————————-

Prototype Rancour

—-

Main Stat: Attack

Sub-Stat: Physical DMG Bonus

Prototype Rancour is also a good F2P option as it is a craftable 4* weapon. Increasing DMG and DEF on hit with a max of 4 stacks, it can be seen as a viable option for consistent DMG. Even bolstering increased overall Attack then the Fillet Blade when maxed out.

On hit, Normal or Charged Attacks increase ARK and DEF by 4/5/6/7/8% for 6s. Max 4 stacks. this effect can only occur once every 0.3s.

————————————-

Fillet Blade

—-

Main Stat: Attack

Sub-Stat: Attack %

Fillet Blade can help Traveler deal extra damage through it’s effect. While also increasing their Base Attack to deal more devastating attacks. I recommend the Fillet Blade overall because it can deal that consistent extra dmg at a 50% chance. It is also a rather free to play weapon. Even though it is achieved through rolls, it being a 3* means that the drop rate is quite frequent.

On hit, has 50% chance to deal 240/280/320/360/400% ATK DMG to a single enemy. Can only occur once every 15/14/13/12/11s.

———————————————————————————

~ Artifacts ~

I recommend using the following Artifacts on the Anemo DPS Build:

Gladiator’s Finale & Viridescent Venerer

————————————-

Gladiator’s Finale

—-

Sub-Stat wanted:

ATK / ATK / Physical DMG Bonus

Gladiator’s Finale will bolster Traveler’s Attack by 18% at (2). This will seriously increase the amount of dmg they can do. At (4) Normal Attacks will have their dmg increased by 35%.

(2) Atk +18%

(4) If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%.

Viridescent Venerer

—-

Sub-Stat wanted:

ATK / ATK / Physical DMG Bonus / Anemo DMG Bonus

The reason I recommend Viridescent Venerer is because as you unlock constellations for Anemo Traveler, They will unlock the ability to release an Anema energy swing as their final hit. Increasing Anema DMG by 15% at (2). Not to mention, the additive of their Elemental Skill & Elemental Burst which can deal a massive amount of Anema DMG, Swirl, and of course whatever other element reaction as it comes in contact with more elements.

(2) Anema DMG Bonus +15%

(4) Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent’s Elemental RES to the elemental infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.

———————————————————————————

~~ Anemo Support ~~

————————————-

~ Weapon ~

I highly recommend using this weapon on for Traveler Anemo Support:

Iron Sting (4*)

————————————-

Iron Sting

—-

Main Stat: Attack

Sub-Stat: Elemental Mastery

Iron Sting is the best Support weapon for Traveler. Boasting the impressive stats of a F2P 4* weapon. It’ll help increase DMG done, while also increasing Elemental Reaction DMG. This is thanks to the effect and the Sub-Stat that come along with this craftable Sword.

Dealing Elemental DMG increases all DMG by 6/7.5/9/10.5/12% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can occur once every 1s.

———————————————————————————

~ Artifacts ~

The artifact sets I recommend are:

Instructor & Viridescent Venerer

————————————-

Instructor

—-

Sub-Stat wanted:

Elemental Mastery / Anemo DMG Bonus / Atk %

Instructor (2) will increase their Elemental Mastery by 80. Further influencing the DMG that Elemental Reactions can do. This is perfect for Anemo heroes in general. Strictly due to the fact that Swirl can react with every element. While I don’t recommend using (4) Instructor artifacts, It is a possible choice to help increase the overall Elemental Mastery of the other party members.

(2) Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.

(4) After using Elemental Skill, Increases all party members’ Elemental Mastery by 120 for 8s.

Viridescent Venerer

—-

Sub-Stat wanted:

Elemental Mastery / Anemo DMG Bonus / Atk %

Viridescent Venerer and artifacts like it, are some of the best artifacts to use on heroes whose main dmg is connected to their vision. (Not physical DMG) Viridescent Venerer (2) will increase the overall Anemo DMG that Traveler will deal while using their skills. While (4) will seriously boost the overall dmg that the enemy will take, while also increasing overall Elemental DMG. I recommend using (4) Viridescent Venerer on a Anemo Support Traveler.

(2) Anemo DMG Bonus +15%

(4) Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent’s Elemental RES to the elemental infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.

———————————————————————————

~~ Conclusion ~~

While I mainly use Anemo Traveler as a Support, They can easily be used a F2P option Main DPS. However, as I stated above, there are much better choices. It would avoid using them as a main stay DPS, and try and focus on someone who can benefit the team more. As I see Traveler as more of a main support to a party. Tis just my opinion though!
