So if you are familiar with the weapons or armor it isn’t too hard to figure out what goes where after the Bungie Weekly Update. Each weapon set only has one that damages Raid creatures and each armor set has 2 pieces that also do the same.
Now, each set is for a prescribed difficulty and we can only guess. I’ve simplified it to Blue (Normal) and Gold (Hard) based on my best guess. I could be wrong but I feel that Gold is typically the higher reward for challenges. There are also other rewards which Bungie hinted but the database seems incomplete.

Not exactly Dark Souls lore in the item descriptions but we might be able to piece together a substory eventually by reading the item descriptions. No real difference in items besides maybe hidden RNG stats (Light, Discipline, Strength, & Intelligence) and the color.
I got the Gloves of the Hezen Lord in normal mode.
So this website must be inaccurate, because I’ve done the raid on Normal multiple times now on multiple characters and have gotten the gold pieces each time.
