[TD] The Traveler (Dialogue)
Traveler: You seem like a smart fellow. Perhaps you would like to purchase some of my wares? They won’t be here for long.
Star Captains! or Who are you? or Wares
-Wares-
Traveler: These rares won’t last long so be smart and get them now before they are gone forever! Yes sir, right smart purchase.
Weapons or NG Weapons
-Who are you?-
Traveler: I am exactly what you see. I’m a salesman that travels the galaxies in search of rare weapons and sells them.
Traveler: I seek out buyers that enjoy collecting powerful and difficult-to-attain weapons and sometimes more than that.
Traveler: My weapons are limited and I doubt I’ll have repeating items in the shop but nothing’s impossible.
Traveler: It’s best you assume that these weapons are only going to be here one time so grab them while you can.
Traveler: I think that’s all the information you need to know about me for now.
-Star Captains-
Traveler: <insert player name here>, I was hoping to see you during my time here.
<Character>: Me? How do you even know who I am?
Traveler: It’s protocol to thoroughly research all of my customers.
<Character>: I’m not sure I like the sound of that… but please, do go on, Mr…
Traveler: My name isn’t important right now. My position in the universe is more important. Now let’s get down to business.
Traveler: You’re impressed the Dean of your University with your score on the Entrance Exam, so I know you can fight…
Traveler: You’re a Star Captain, so it won’t be out of order for you to visit a certain shop – but that’s not important right now either.
<Character>: What is important, then? Why were you hoping to see me? I mean, what do you want?
Traveler: What is important is the message I was carrying. An I was hoping to see you so that I could ask for your assistance.
Traveler: On my way here, I was ambushed by a gang, and I was overpowered.
Traveler: Fortunately, as you can see, I was still able to reach my post here in town.
Traveler: Fortunately for them, too – because preventing a Traveler from making his appointed rounds is a punishable offense.
<Character>: So, what happened? What do you want from me?
Traveler: When I recovered from their stun attack, and hit re-play on my V-RAM, I saw that their attempt to destroy the message was not entirely successful.
Traveler: It is in fragments, but I can use my Universal Position Tracker to direct you to collect each piece.
<Character>: Why don’t you just do it yourself?
Traveler: A Traveler may not leave his post before all observations have been collected and recorded.
Okay I’ll do it. or No

[TSCQ] The Traveler’s Quests
-Missing Note-
In this mission, you have to find the piece of note that was ripped into fragments. Everytime you find a piece or something similar to it, you will fight an enemy (Either EC01, EC02 or EC03). When you are finding the final piece of note you’ll be fighting Maria 182, which could be said as a taste of the bosses that are coming next.
Dialogue:
Traveler: Your mission is to collect the pieces of the note that was taken. Upon completion, you will have access to a reward.
Traveler: Search this area for letter fragments. Be careful. There are unidentified assailants in the area.
Traveler: We are fortunate that the days have been bright and sunny. A windy day would be disastrous.
Traveler: I should be able to maintain the calm atmospheric conditions for a time, but please make haste!
Traveler: Failure to deliver this missive would have far-reaching consequences. I foresee that it is best to avoid failure.
Traveler: Your success will be rewarded. Go go go! And may the circuits favor you!
After obtaining a note piece:
Traveler: Thank you for your assistance. I’m sure that Maria 5 will be grateful for your help with her research into her past.
If you re-do this quest after obtaining the whole note:
Traveler: You have all of the parts of the letter, but you may still encounter assailants here! It is wise to be on guard!
After obtaining a Full note piece:
Full Note Piece Screenshot (click for spoiler!)
Rewards Shop:
Missing Note Rewards — Within this shop is the Caster Blaster series which is a really good HD weapon that can become really useful on the following quests.
-Note Delivery-
The aim of this mission is to deliver a note to the Traveler’s contact in Gark, in order to do so, you must fight through 2 Muggers and finally Maria 183, who will try to stop you.
Dialogue:
Traveler: Your mission is to deliver the note to Maria. Upon completion, you will have access to a reward.
Maria 5: Thank you so much for bringing me this letter, <Character>!
Maria 5: *reads* …More Marias! So I have a family!
<Character>: Seems there are at least 182 of you. Sadly, they don’t seem interested in a family reunion… I mean, a Maria– Maria 182 to be exact — tried to kill me …
Maria 5: What?? Oh, no – this is terrible news! So when he says, “sensitive”, he means dangerous…
Maria 5: Now Murgatroyd of Arthuria is is in danger! I must warn him at once! But I can’t leave the shop… Can you help me?
<Character>: I’d love to – but how? The comm units aren’t secure, obviously. Arthuria isn’t on the Starmap…
Maria 5: Oh, please hurry, <Character>! I can’t leave the shop… but surely The Traveler can go tell him!
<Character>: The Traveler said something about not being able to leave his post… but don’t worry, Maria 5 – I will help you!
Maria 5: This is terribly distressing – but I can’t close up shop to deliver a warning myself. Thanks for helping me, <Character>!
Maria 5: Now hurry back to The Traveler! And watch to be sure you’re not followed…
To the Traveler! or Nevermind
Traveler: As neither Maria 5 nor I are free to leave our posts, I shall have to send you on this mission, and it may be dangerous.
Traveler: I know there is an agent in place on the planet Gark, who goes to Arthuria next.
<Character>: What a lark – to travel to Gark! I hope it won’t be dark…
Traveler: ……………… If he only knew how serious this is… ahem – Gark is no picnic, though there is a Cantina…
Traveler: I will let you use my Starship – it has special warps and cloaking devices for protection and speed. My navbot will guide you.
<Character>: How will I know this agent when I get there?
Traveler: I have a feeling you will be able to pick him out in the crowd.
<Character>: Ok and so then when we make contact, I just tell him to warn Murgatroyd of Arthuria to be wary?
Traveler: You won’t even have to say a word… you’ll see when you get there. Now be sure to bring your powerful equipment for your mecha.
Traveler: Your arrival on Gark will be sudden and dangerous… It is time! Go!
Battle On! or Nevermind
If you lose a Mugger:
Traveler: You’re lucky that the mugger didn’t get any of your hard-earned credits. Hurry up and try again…
After winning one enemy outside Gark:
Traveler: There’s nowhere to heal and no time to rest! Just be glad you didn’t get robbed!
After winning one enemy inside Gark:
Traveler: You made it through both of those attackers! Now you should see the Cantina just ahead.
Traveler: The lines of power are aligned just enough that I may heal your systems. bzzzzt Careful, <Character>! Sensors detect a powerful Maria ahead!
Battle Maria 183
After winning Maria 183:
Traveler: The Maria will report – to someone – that you were here, but sensors indicate that all EC units have departed.
Traveler: It is now safe to enter the Juice Bar.
?????: Hello, <Character>.
?????: …
<Character>: Wow you’re so far away and yet I can hear you. Is this thing on?
?????: Don’t come any closer. I can hear you just fine. And don’t move your lips!
<Character>: So is this Juice Bar Cantina place built with weird acoustics, or you have espionage amplification, or you’re telepathic, or what?
?????: Telepathy? Stuff and nonsense… or is it…
<Character>: It’s a little hard to say Murgatroyd without moving my lips…
?????: You just look like you’re chewing gum or something. It’s fine. And I’ll let him know to be ultra cautious!
?????: <Character>, I shall now transport you -and The Traveler’s Airship — back to Loreon. I promise you won’t even notice the journey!
Rewards Shop: Note Delivery Rewards shop — The weapon series in this shop is the Lectrocast series, which is a great FA series that can disable your opponent’s FA, BA, FS and BS in order. What’s more, it is guaranteed and against non-equippable enemies, it deals extra damage and a 2x EP DoT!
-Assistance-
Dialogue:
Traveler: My associate that you met on Gark has run into trouble and I need your help to help him.
Traveler: I’ve just received word that my associate you contacte in Gark has been intercepted by Shadowscythe.
Traveler: If I go alone, I’ll never make it in time. I’ll need your help to take out any enemies that try to board our ship while we get there.
Traveler: No doubt there will be a Shadowscythe Cruiser that will need to be dealth with.
Traveler: We can’t let the message be destroyed. Will you assist me in this moment of peril?
Yes, sir! or No
After defeating the Shadowscythe Mechs and completing the voyage
?????: It’s about time you got here! I’ve got enemies on my ship. I would appreciate you taking out the cruiser!
Enter Ship
Traveler: There’s the control room! Activate the self-destructt then get out of there!
???: Not so fast!
Maria184: I can’t let you interrupt my plans after I went through the trouble of commandeering this Shadowscythe Cruiser.
Maria184: That little rodent mustn’t deliver the information. He will be destroyed and the secret will be safe.
Maria184: Our purpose must never be known. Especially hers!
Battle Maria184
If you lose to Maria184:
Traveler: I’ve healed your mecha. Would you like to try again?
Again! or Retreat!
After beating Maria184:
Traveler: The mission is a success. Egress the cruiser immediately or risk fatal burns and explosive decompression.
The Traveler: Thie mission is a sucess. My associate will continue his route to Arthuria. When I know more, you’ll know more.
Traveler: I’m looking forward to informing you about the bigger picture but for your an Maria 5’s sake, it’s best you know nothing.
Traveler: Until next time, <Character>, stay safe.
Rewards Shop: Assistance Rewards shop — The rewards shop got this quest holds a series of HD weapon which can place 1 HP and 1 EP DoT on the enemy while healing yourself for 5 turns, but unfortunately it is not very reliable.
-Decoy-
Dialogue:
Traveler: My associate that you met on Gark has run into trouble and I need your help to help him.
Traveler: I have a simple mission for you. My Associate is on his way back now and EbilCopr has been watching Maria 5’s shop.
Traveler: You need to approach the shop from Pontimech. We just need you to be a distraction for my Associate.
Traveler:Good luck and I’ll see you inside the shop.
Let’s Go! or Nope
*After defeating the 3 Mechs and then Maria 180
Associate: I delivered the note. Than you for helping me get here.
<Player>: No Problem. I love being shot at.
Traveler: What have you heard from Murgatroyd?
Associate: All he said was that he has concerns about future communications.
Maria 5: Doesn’t EbilCorp have a super-secure communicator available? Couldn’t we just use those?
Traveler: Unfortunately we have reason to believe that EbilCorp is heavily involved with your past.
Traveler: I would prefer to come up with another solution that bypasses anything related to EbilCorp.
<Player>: Well… Why don’t we just bring him here?
Traveler: That would certainly make things easier.
Associate: …
Maria 5: What is it?
Associate: No, Nothing. I guess it’s just ironic. I was just there.
Traveler: I doubt it would be that simple and you know it.
Traveler: Once he’s here, we would likely have to hide him.
Traveler: The other Marias no-doubt know where he’s at. We’ll have to smuggle him in.
Maria 5: I’m sure we can come up with a plan. This shop is equipped with a shelter. He could even hide out here.
Associate: Then that’s what we’ll do.
Maria 5: Excellent! I can’t wait. Thank you all so much!
Maria 5: The Queenadent interview airs in 294.7 seconds according to my alarm – I have to go watch now!
Traveler: Be well, Maria 5. We’ll let you know more about the plan later, then.
*Maria 5 leaves*
Associate: I think you’re on to something.
Traveler: It may be what I feared. Mr. Z is up to something.
Associate: It looks like it’s starting already.
<Player>: What’s already starting?
Traveler: We thing Mr.Z is plotting something big involving Maria 5.
<Player>: Why don’t we just tell her?
Traveler: We can’t risk her knowing anything in detail. It could be disastrous. As well as heartbreaking for her…
Associate: Mr.Z’s plan seems to revolve around the Queenadent so we should keep track of all EbilCorp activity.
Traveler: I agree. <Player>, until we meet again, be well. We’ll contact you when we’re ready to get Murgatroyd.
Rewards Shop: Decoy Rewards Shop — In here is a set of rather average shoulder weapons which increases the DoTs from the Phoenix weapon series and increases your Bonus by 5 per usage, so not exactly a set of everyday shoulders.
-Smuggle Murgatroyd-
Dialogue:
Maria 5: You are such a great help, <You>! Thanks for assisting with this smuggling operation!
Maria 5: I’m very excited about meeting Murgatroyd!
<Player>: I am, too – and getting to visit Arthuria is a nice bonus!
Maria 5: I wish I could go with you, <You>! But I have to stay here in teh shop. There is a Queenadent transmission every day this week!
Maria 5: I mean, it’s terrible that Murgatroyd of Arthuria is in danger – I blame myself!
<Player>: Is is not your fault, Maria 5! I will help protect him – and you!
Maria 5: Thanks so much, <You>! I am so grateful to you and The Traveler and her Associate!
<Player>: Don’t worry Maria 5 – I will make sure Murgatroyd gets here safely for you!
Maria 5: Please be careful! Thanks for helping me, <You>!
Maria 5: I’ll tidy up the hideout while you and The Associate talk to The Traveler!
The Traveler: I appreciate your accompanying my Associate on this missions, and it may be dangerous.
The Traveler: Sending you to Arthuria is probably not as simple as it sounds.
<Player>: Seems easy enough, but you say EbilCorp is involved…
<Player>: I am really looking forward to seeing Arthuria!
The Traveler: sigh… <gender> has no idea of the dangers ahead…
The Traveler: You know, <You>, Arthura is not somewhere you should be seen really…
The Traveler: You and my Associate may use my Starship. His starship is being watched….
The Traveler: Coordinate your operations. Arthuria’s moon may be a good place to keep in mind as an interim point.
<Player>: It’ll be good to see The Associate again.
The Traveler: Yes you have had some exciting times together for sure.
<Player>: Looking forward to meeting Murgatroyd of Arthuria too!
The Traveler: Well keep in mind this is no slumber party. I’m sure you know it’s very dangerous. Just saying…
The Traveler: I have received the all-clear signal from The Associate – off you go, then! To the moon!
After defeating first enemey:
The Traveler: I figured you would run into EbilCorp…not Shadowscythe forces.
The Traveler: You had better stay here and hold them off while The Associate gets Murgatroyd.
On Arthuria:
?????: Hello, <Player>.
(What? How?)
?????: It’s a pleasure to be able to bring you here! Stay for a while, and listen!
<Player>: Wow – this is Arthuria!? How did you do that??!!
Murgatroyd: That was The Associate’s working, not my specialty… As you may have guessed, my name is Murgatroyd.
<Player>: Pleasure to meet you. But is this safe…
Murgatroyd: We each have our specialties. You’ll find yourself going unnoticed.
<Player>: Hey! Hey you! Yo!!! Shiny Knight Dude! Over here!
Murgatroyd: You have to test everything, don’t you…
<Player>: …invisibility spell and cloak-of-silence-type thing? Fancy!
Murgatroyd: <Player>, it is time, alas. The Associate shall now transport us –and The Traveler’s Airship — back to Loreon.
Associate: That was great, <Player>! Thanks again for helping me!
<Player>: It was cool to get a glimpse of Arthuria! Thought I was gonna get stuck on that moon…
Traveler: It is great that you’ve brought Murgatroyd here!
Associate: I’ve got him safely back in the hideout area now.
Maria 5: Where is <Player>?
Traveler: <gender> is still outside the shop doing something…
