Crafting in Marvel heroes is different than what most people would expect in an ARPG or MMO, so it’s understandable that there would be quiet a few questions. Once you learn how to leverage you crafter you can almost always make sure your character has the some of the best gear available.

Introduction (INTR)

Starter Quest
You can visit the crafter as soon as you have completed The Raft training mission. Around this time you’ll also be given a mission to talk to Wonderman. He will give you a quest to pick up 3 Simple Nanotech Filaments (1NF). These can come from enemy drops, chests, and destructible boxes. Once you’ve collected the 3  1NF’s you can return to him and he will instruct you to talk to Hank Pym to combine these there into a Primitive Nanotech Filament (2NF). After this has been done turn it into him and he’ll give you 2 more simple molecules, which he will tell you to use them to make a Dynamic Serum. Return To Pym and click on the consumable tab and select the Dynamic serum.

Raising your Crafter level and gaining recipes
Starting out your crafter doesn’t have many recipes. There re two main ways to get more recipes. The first, and primary way is to level your crafter by donating gear, health kits, and other things to the crafter. This is done by opening the crafting interface and holding down the alt key and righting clicking the item in your inventory. Normally you would see a value in the lower left corner of the item that shows how many credits it is worth. When you hold the alt key you will see that it changes from credits to XP. Your crafter has an XP bar under there level so you can easily track how close you are to the next level. The crafter has a max level of 20.

The other way to gain recipes is there are a few hidden throughout the game. Like a currently known one for The secret bovine sector warp portal.

Element Types and Levels

Four element types:
Nanotech filament (xNF)
Ionic particle(xIP)
Astral essence(xAE)
Enhanced genome(xEG)

Element levels:
Tier 1: Simple (1xx)
Tier 2: Primitive (2xx)
Tier 3: Ordinary (3xx)
Tier 4: Fundamental (4xx)
Tier 5: Essential (5xx)
Tier 6: Complex (6xx)
Tier 7: Refined (7xx)
Tier 8: Pure (8xx)

I’ve created the shorthand (in parenthesis) for easier reading. The first character is its tier and the second and third characters are the initials of the specific element. So if a recipe says 3EG + 2IP it means it needs an Oridnary (Tier 3) Enhanced Genome and an Primitive (Tier 2) Ionic Particle.

Combining and splitting elements

Gear Modification (GMOD)

Level required – Credit cost Item Name: Materials required
Level 1- 300 Upgrade Rare item(1-12): Rare item + 1EG
Level 2- 600 Upgrade Rare item(13-24): Rare item + 3EG
Level 3- 400 Transform Epic item (1-12): Epic item + 1NF + 1IP
Level 6- 3000 Upgrade Rare item (25-36): Rare item + 5EG
Level 7- 1000 Transform Epic Item (13-24): Epic item + 3NF + 3IP
Level 14- 30000 Upgrade Rare item (37-48): Rare item + 7EG
Level 15- Unknown Transform Epic Item (37-48): Epic item + 7NF + 7IP

Costume Affixes and Cores (CAFF)

You can only have one of each grade and one core on your costume at a time. This means that if you currently have a Grade 1 offensive Affix that if you you try to put a grade 1 defensive affix or another grade 1 offensive affix they will overwrite the previous Grade 1 Affix.

Increased Attack Speed – 5 ~ 7%
Defense Penetration to Basic Attacks – 21% ~ 35%
Increased Damage – 3-6
Damage on Critical hit – 9-21

Grade 2

Maximum Health Increase – 20-32
Regenerate 6-11 Health when you defeat an enemy
Regenerate 4 Health when you hit an enemy with a basic power
4-8% to base health
Dodge chance – 1%-3.1%

Grade 2
Maximum Health Increase – 23-33
Regenerate 13-15 Health when you defeat an enemy
Regenerate 4-6 Health when you hit with a basic attack
Dodge chance – 1%-2.2%
Tenacity – 19-22
4-8% to base health

Grade 3
Dodge chance – 1%-2.2%
Tenacity – 19-22
8%-11% to base health

    42 Defense for Grade 3 defensive affix

    Also got a 3.2% dodge chance for a Grade 1 Defensive Affix , so the maximum for this one isn’t 3.1%

    I got a +7 All Damage mod on my rank 3 offensive affix.

    Your guide is wrong I am level 8 crafter and do not have the ability to make 6 medkits.
