Whether you’re fighting for government control, technological advances, or freedom for all. The sunderer will be the vehicle that will help you get the job done. In this guide you will learn tactics, builds, tips, and tricks to maximize the effectiveness of your sunderer. For those that are leading outfits,platoons, or squads this will be your official sunderer play book. If you follow the tactics and instructions in this guide to the letter your success is almost guaranteed. This guide will continuously be updated as the game grows and when new build & tactics are created.

What is it?

The Sunderer or “Sundy” is an A.P.C (armored personnel carrier) capable of holding up to 12 soldiers. Doe to it’s extremely wide array of outfitting options, the sundy is able to fill multiple roles in and around the battle field.

Weaponry

The Sunderer currently has it’s choice of 4 different weapon types. The vehicle itself can be equipped with 2 of any of these weapons in any combination. In this section we will go into detail about the different types of weaponry, their strengths, weaknesses, and statistics.

M20 Basilisk

Stats: All statistics use the in game bar rating system. The lowest number representing worst performance and the higher number the best.

Damage Rating: 2/20
Fire Rating: 18/20
Reload Speed Rating:7/20

Description:The M20 Basilisk is a slow-firing 20mm HMG that comes standard with your sundy and can effectively damage all targets.

M12 Kobalt

Fire Rating: 19/20
Reload Speed Rating:13/20

Description: The M12 Kobalt is a fast firing 50 cal machine gun. It is especially effective against all types of infantry.

M40 Fury

Damage Rating: 7/20
Fire Rating: 16/20
Reload Speed Rating:13/20

Description: The Fury launches 40mm grenades, it’s effective against light armored vehicles.

M60 Bulldog

Description: The M60 Bulldog is 60mm grenade launcher that is specifically effective at dispatching infantry and does some damage against armored vehicles.

Sunderer Builds & Tactics

In this section of the guide we will go over various sunderer builds that will be a necessity on the battle field. While some may be a rare sight, they will all make an appearance at some point in your character’s career.

Armadillo Class

The armadillo is a heavily armored sundy designed specifically to absorb damage and dish it out against a single target.

Requirements:

  • Blockade Armor
  • Fire Suppression System
  • Rival Combat Chassis

Strengths

  • Excels at heavy armor destruction.
  • Excellent at spawn room suppression.
  • Not vulnerable to infantry focus fire.
  • Excellent protection for heavily damaged vehicles to hide behind.

Weaknesses

  • Easily destroyed by tank mines and C4 explosives.
  • Mid size crew required.
  • Vulnerable to aircraft.
  • Vulnerable to multiple (3+) armor.

Tactics:

  • The Wall: The Wall maneuver can be preformed with two armadillo class sunderers. If you line up your sunderers correctly you can effectively wall out (or in) enemy units. This works exceptionally well with small spawn rooms by trapping the enemy inside without any worry about retaliation.
  • Hell’s Gate: Hell’s Gate is a maneuver that is specifically designed to envelope small bases, and choke points in flames. For base’s 4 armadillo classes are needed to surround the base on all sides and opening fire on all enemy targets. For choke points only one A class is required.
  • Check Point Road Block: This maneuver can be preformed with a minimum of two A class sundys. Have each A class park on opposite sides of a road (perferably a road that CAN NOT be bypassed). Any armor that comes with in fire ranges will be forced back or try to drive through possibly into more check points.

Weaponry:

  • The Wall: Any weapon combination.
  • Hell’s Gate: Two M60 Bulldog are required for this tactic.
  • Check Point Road Block: The M60 Bulldog, M40 Fury, & M20 Basilisk can be used in any combination for this tactic to be effective.

Seeker Class

The seeker class is specifically designed to hunt down enemy infantry they maybe hiding in or near friendly structures. This class can also be used as a scout to sweep enemy territory for any hostile infantry waiting to ambush you and your team.

Requirements:

  • Proximity Radar
  • Blockade Armor (Defense) / Stealth (Offense)
  • Rival Combat Chassis (Defense) / Racer Chassis (Offense)

Strengths:

  • Constantly reveals enemy positions.
  • Undetectable on radar.

Weaknesses

  • Vulnerable to infantry focus fire.
  • Vulnerable to aircraft fire.
  • Vulnerable to heavy armor.

Tactics

  • Sweeper: The sweeper is simply driving around the ground of a friendly or enemy base looking for hidden targets. A 4 to 12 man strike team is usually recommended in case the target cannot be killed from the vehicle.

Weaponry

  • Sweeper: M60 Bulldog and M20 Basilisk are recommended to make this tactic effective.

S.A.S Class

The S.A.S or the “Stop and Shop’ is the ultimate utility sundy class. It provides a spawn point, and ammo station for near by vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Sunderer Advanced Mobile Station (S-AMS)
  • Vehicle Ammo Dispenser
  • Racer High Speed Chassis

Strengths:

  • Provides your team with a safe respawn location.
  • Provides friendly air & armor with ammunition.

Weaknesses

  • Cannot replenish it’s own ammo.
  • Vulnerable to infantry focus fire.
  • Vulnerable to heavy armor.
  • Vulnerable to aircraft.

Tactics:

  • Common sense.

Weaponry

  • All weapon combinations are effective on this build.

Predator Class

The predator class is a fast moving sundy designed to mow down enemy infantry and light armor.

Requirements:

  • I.R Smoke Screen
  • Blockade Armor or Nanite Auto Repair System
  • Racer High Speed Chassis

Strengths:

  • Not Vulnerable to infantry fire
  • Not Vulnerable to heavy armor
  • Not Vulnerable to aircraft
  • Cannot be locked on to
  • Can outrun all threats
  • Can repair while moving

Weaknesses:

  • Must remain mobile.

Tactics:

  • Rolling Thunder: Rolling thunder is a line of Predator class that drive around an enemy facility and continuously fire grenades at all enemy targets.

Weaponry:

  • Rolling Thunder: M60 Bulldogs and M40 Fury are required to make this tactic effective.

Siege Class

The siege class is a special unit designed to slip through enemy gate shields and allow it’s passengers to infiltrate the base.

Requirements:

  • Gate Shield Diffuser
  • Blockade Armor
  • Racer High Speed Chassis

Strengths:

  • Able to bypass enemy shields

Weaknesses:

  • Vulnerable to infantry fire.
  • Vulnerable to heavy armor.
  • Vulnerable to aircraft

Tactics:

  • Trojan Horse: The famous Trojan horse is a tactic that requires 2 to 3 siege class sundys with 12 passengers 4 of which must be anti infantry max units. This will allow an effective push into a heavily fortified base with minimum casualties.

Weaponry:

  • Trojan Horse: M60 Bulldog and M12 Kobalt are required for this tactic to be effective.

General Weaponry Tips

  • Cert all weaponry with max magazine and ammunition.
  • Cert all machine guns with maximum zoom.
  • Diversify weapon combinations for all situations.
  • As a gunner always spot what you are firing at.
  • Cert reload speed into all weapons.
