Crystal Saga Priest Full Support Guide
Crystal Saga Priest Full Support Guide by Pixelated2
Figured I’d finally put up a guide on this. ^^
As a priest you can choose from a couple of builds.
1. Straight healing(1st post) – Focused only on putting out the maximum heals.
2. Damage Prevention(2nd post) – Reducing the amount of damage taken to make healing easier.
Stats are pretty straight forward with either build. 3 int is all you need every level.
The way I’ll do skills, is the way I’d put my points every 10 levels. Skill points are not always used, so I’ll note when I saved my skill points also.
Note: Remaining points are basically your extra points. I only list core skills needed, so remaining points are spend on whatever you want type points.
Straight healing skill set
Note: If you decide you HAVE to have an attack skill tree, I’d say blood beam tree is better than holy tree, simply because blood beam has no cast time, while Light beam does.
Additional note: I’ve talked with some priest who actually did invest in the blood beam skill, and have a problem with their healing not casting during afk mode. The thing I noticed they had in common was this.
As you can see from the picture, everyone I talked to who had this problem replaced their basic attack with blood beam, then also added blood beam to their afk bar. Basic attack is every attack in between skills, so there’s no need to put it on the afk skill bar if you already have it set as your default basic attack. So this results in afk mode attempting to cast blood beam after blood beam.

L30 Notes: At level 30, you have access to higher potions, so a level 30 mana potion should be able to upkeep saint’s strength 5. The reason you level Saint’s instead of Light Heal or Healing wave, is because it benefits both of the skills by increasing your healing stat. Of course, if you prefer not to choose this skill, you can either save the points for later, or put them into light heal, since that’s your main healing skill.
Saint’s strength has some downsides to it though, so it may not be for everyone. If you can set up your afk mode properly for healing, then keeping your mana up shouldn’t be much of a problem. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to afk heal all the time though, and if you’re not paying attention to using your mana potions on cooldown, you could find yourself with no mana.
Additional note: Saints strength reduces your matk while active.

Additional Information
Curse of Weakness reduces the attack and magic attack of anyone inside it by 5%, this increases by 5% more every level, maxing at 25% for level 5.
Ring of Decay reduces the defense and magic defense of anyone inside it by 5%, this skill isn’t quite the same as Curse of Weakness though in leveling. The reduction per level for it is 5%, 11%, 18%, 26%, 35%.
Phlegmatic curse is level 1 is actually an unnecessary skill. The reason it’s included in the skill set is because of the uses is has in other things though. Phlegmatic curse has a special property that the other two circles don’t. Unlike the other two skills, you can cast Phlegmatic curse in events such as Guild Resource, or in outside pvp to force people to dismount. You only have to cast it in front of them if they’re chasing you and if they walk into it at all it’s an instant dismount. Whereas the other two circles, you actually have to catch them inside it to dismount them.
Now that the skill sets are listed, let’s go over some of the pro’s and con’s between both of them.
Healing set
Pros:
You heal for the maximum possible at your stats/level
You have the option of improving your support skills further.
Cons:
No source of damage at all unless you invest skill points into attack skills.
Healing stat scales poorly in pvp events such as Sengolia or Delivery.
If you don’t invest in circles at all, you have nothing to hinder people chasing you.
Damage prevention set
Pros:
You reduce the damage your tank takes.
You reduce the defense of any enemies in the circle making them easier to kill.
In pvp, you can root people in place. If done properly, you can literally stop a person from moving completely with your 3 circles if they have no way to stop you.
Cons:
You won’t heal as much as a pure healer.
You won’t have skill points to spend on other skills.
If your tank is skilled improperly, or just too weak, you can draw aggro with your circles.(This actually should not be happening, but sometimes it does.)
Equipments –
Note: Healing priests don’t necessarily need many upgrades to their equips. If you are going to upgrade them, focus only on the weapon, since that’s the only heal stat that can be upgraded through enchantment.
Helmet –
In the early levels, you shouldn’t worry too much about this. Once you get to around 30+, you have a couple options. The best for just flat healing is Ethereal Saint’s Crown, which is usable at level 35. It adds 81 to your heal stat which is a significant amount at lower levels. Epic shard saint’s hats all have the healing stat, so you can slowly increase it as you improve your sets.
The alternative, if it’s too hard for you to gather epic shards, are mob drop hats. If you use one of these, your goal should be a hat with cast speed and a +intelligence stat. If you can’t maximize your heal stat with an epic piece, you can at least make your heals come out a little faster. Of course, finding one with both cast speed and intelligence is tough, so it’s alright to settle for a hat that just has one or the other depending on what’s readily available.
Example of an alternative hat:
Optional stats you may decide to get along with those listed:
+Flat Matk
+% Matk
+HP
Body –
Unlike headgear, you actually don’t have as big of an option for this. Ethereal Saint’s Robe becomes available at level 33 if you can afford it. It’ll give you a total of +81 healing and +11 to intelligence, making it the absolute best for increasing your heal at level 30-50. Like hats, epic shard body’s have healing stat on each saint’s set.
If you cannot afford an epic shard robe, your other option would be pretty much any other robe. If I’m not mistaken, I don’t think a normal robe can get int stat on it, so if you can only afford say 1 epic shard piece, make it the robe. If you reach level 40 and have enough honor/badges, you can get a Savage robe. Savage robe DOES have int stat on it, so it’s better than just regular mob drops in that aspect.
Gloves –
Normal mob drop gloves are more or less useless, since they don’t come with stats that benefit a healer. Normal gloves can only come with stats such as phys attack, attack speed, hit rating. You can yellow or pink shard some gloves for yourself, but the only benefit of that is increasing your magic attack. Savage gloves at 40, increase your intelligence a little bit, and also increases your hit rating by a significant amount which can help in pvp. Healers don’t really have a good pair of gloves for them, so it’s your decision on which to pick.
Boots –
Normal mob drop boots don’t come with options for healers. If you settle for normal mob boots, try to get something with movement speed, dodge bonuses, or damage reduction bonus. The epic shard boots add a small amount of intelligence, but it’s not a significant amount that it’s a must have item. Savage boots are an acceptable option, they add a small amount of int, and also increase your movement speed.
Off hand –
Anything you can find. It’s not really a priority item. Wheel of life if you happen to get one, but those are only 7 days.
Necklace –
Necklace gives you two main options. If you’re going to shard a necklace, you want a pristine(yellow) sharded necklace, since those add to your heal stat. The ideal necklace, would be a mob drop necklace with a high heal stat and cast speed, these can be difficult to find though.
Example necklace:
Ring –
Rings gives you three main options. First option would be an epic sharded saint’s ring. These add a decent amount of healing stat, as well as a big boost to matk. For rings, epic sharded is ideal compared to regular. If you can’t afford an epic sharded ring, a pristine sharded ring also adds healing stat, just not as much as epic. If you go with a mob drop ring, almost anything with +heal stat is fine.
Weapon –
At level 30+, anything pink outstanding. To maximize healing, a pink outstanding staff with +intelligence stat, otherwise just a regular pink outstanding is fine. If it’s a newer server, or you’re around top level of your server, you may have to settle for blue or yellow outstanding instead. Also, always upgrade your staff to +4 minimum. You can get to +4 without it decreasing your enchant, but any further you risk losing +s.
Gems –
Gems aren’t necessarily a MUST have, but they can be helpful. If you ever feel your healing stat is too low, you can gain a small boost to it from emeralds. Emeralds can be equipped only to gloves and weapons. If you feel that your healing is at a good enough level, you can choose topazes instead for a bit more magic attack.
For boots and body armor I’d suggest ambers to make up for your low defense as a priest, for helmet magic defense.
I personally don’t recommend jades because I don’t feel extra hp helps all that much unless you’re getting it to increase damage output of blood skills.
Gem’s are pretty expensive to equip though, so it’s mostly up to you on if you decide to gem everything up, or to save them for making end game gems. I’m sure there’s lots of differing opinions on which gems to use also, so just because I suggest something doesn’t mean you absolutely have to use it.
Maximizing leveling efficiency.
1-30,
Just do all the quests available. You have to grind a small amount, but it’s really nothing, if you can’t handle this small amount of grinding, you’re going to hate the later levels. Quests take care of most of your exp needs here.
30-40
At 30 you unlock bath, you should refer to the bath guide and practice perfecting it with your friends, because bath is one of the best options for exp level 30+.
There’s also quests, but they won’t be as effective as they were for 1-30.
Daily hunt quest can be done 20 times a day, but it doesn’t really give much exp. You can gain a little honor from it and also a very very small chance of morph orbs.
I recommend doing Starglade Tour daily quests, they’re really quick and easy, and give you 1 coupon each. These are available from 30-39.
Starting in Twilight Cavern’s and higher, mobs also have a chance to drop a torch when you kill them. Torches give you exp every 3 seconds or so for being near them. They become a lot more important at higher levels, at earlier levels killing mobs is actually faster if you have exp bonuses activated, such as 2x card, guild 2x, world 2x, etc.
40+
At 40, you can begin doing redemptions. Redemptions are a great source of exp if you can manage to get them done, but it’s recommended you do them in a party of 5 because of the difficulty of bosses.
You have the option of doing a day in Vidalia now, I personally never did it since I hate the quests, but it’s still a source of free coupons.
Training grounds becomes available at 40 also. It’s pretty hard to complete even with a full group though. Also it gets pretty laggy from all the mobs. If you have 2x exp cards, event, guild, etc, then training grounds is what you use them for. Make sure you’re capable of actually doing it before using your 2x exp though.
Sengolia also becomes available, you get a small amount of exp for destroying towers, and also when you claim your prize, but I wouldn’t count on this to level you very quickly.
Other than things mentioned for the previous levels, this is mostly grinding. If you’re not the kind of person who can afford to always be on 2x exp/etc, then your best bet is to save coupons for afk cards.
When you’re afk grinding, especially at level 50+, it’s not necessarily the killing speed that will level you up fastest. To maximize your leveling speed, you should set yourself to 1 screen movement in an area with melee only mobs. If you have extremely high matk and kill the mobs faster than they spawn, then you should remove attack skills from your afk mode and just use basic attack. The goal while afk leveling is to get the monsters to walk to you so when they die the torch spawns next to you. Of course you should kill mobs your level if you’re hoping for a rare drop, or upgrading materials.
If you’re level 60+, you don’t necessarily need to afk at mobs your level either.
Example is where I set myself afk. Reason I choose here is because when I afk, I’m not always able to repair my weapon all the time. This is a place where that doesn’t matter since I still kill fast even with no weapon. Depending on luck, I gain around 20-40% a night leveling like this. This leveling method requires no exp cards or anything like that, only afk cards.
Some people don’t have the afk cards to do this though. For those people, their only option is to hunt for torches manually. This is best done in dense mob areas that are occupied by players on all 5 channels. You can switch channels and look for torches they spawn while afk. If you do this it’s actually the fastest way to level, but only if you can find an area as described.
Pets!
Priests actually have a lot of options for pets. Just because you’re a priest, doesn’t mean you HAVE to get a support type pet either.
We’ll start off with the best pets. Unfortunately, these are all cash shop pets. Of course other people are entitled to their opinion, but I’ll exclude morphed cs pets and fire lord, since you have to spend quite a lot of gold to get those in game, and this section will be more toward less rich people.
The best pet for a person on a budget is the Teeka. Teeka’s can achieve a decently high matk, and has skills to help prevent damage. Teeka’s start with charm, which stops an opponent from attacking or casting skills. This can be useful against bosses, and even in pvp situations since anyone who attacks you will instantly be silenced. Another skill Teeka’s come with is infinity, which is a short duration buff to physical and magical attack and defenses. These are a great overall pet, and considerably cheaper than morphing a baby angel/demon or hatching a fire lord.
The next pet we will discuss, is baby demon. Why baby demon you ask? Because of it’s Armor Piercing skill. This skill lowers an enemy’s defense by 300 for 10 seconds, and the cooldown is only 24 seconds. This 300 is a flat armor reduction also, so by having this pet you’re helping increase your melee’s dps by a slight amount. In my earlier levels of doing nightmare relic before my tank had enough dps, Zabuga would take around 20 minutes just to kill him(This was 2 person party). Just by using baby demon for the armor debuff, instead of Teeka, the time to kill decreased by about 3-4 minutes.
Note: This was before I had circles though and was using the full healing skill build. With circles, you probably don’t need a baby demon since they reduce defense.
Lastly, baby angel, I don’t personally recommend it. They don’t start out with this skill, but if you open some skill slots, they have a chance to learn a skill similar to baby demon’s armor reduction, except theirs is for magic defense. However, this can become costly, and not worth it.
So let’s move on past those cash shop pets. Now we’ll talk about regular pets you can go catch yourself if you can’t afford the luxury of cash shop pets.
If you’re looking for a support type non cs pet, Morphed Vultures are the most common answer. The reason it’s morphed rather than normal or baby is because they have a chance to start out with Healing+ Lv2 skill. In my personal experience, I’ve never seen the Healing+ Lv2 skill book, so they’re incredibly rare and you’ll want to catch a pet with it rather than buying if they even exist. Healing+ increases your healing stat by a small amount for a short duration.
My recommended pet however, is actually NOT vulture. I highly recommend a morphed bear cub. These cubs can learn MANY useful skills and they start out with 25% absorption. Cubs are extremely useful in pvp related things that allow pets, such as guild resource, or pvping on regular maps. If your cub has the flexibility skill, you can also increase absorption to 29% with lv1, 31% with lv2 and 33% with lv3. So your pet will soak up a lot of incoming damage for you. Another skill you may want on your bear cub is Stoneskin, this skill is really useful, it gives a small % chance to stun people who attack YOU. That means if someone’s chasing or attacking you, you get a chance to escape if it activates. Also, these little bears like most pets, can learn charm, which combined with stone skin can be very helpful when you’re trying fight or run from someone. Fierce attack is another skill that bears learn. This attack is another stun.
Example of a well skilled bear.
Just a small example of a bear with skills helpful for pvp. I just copied and pasted the remaining skill descriptions so I don’t have to post multiple screenshots. As you can see, a bear like this is ideal, because it still has a lot of potential being only level 12, so there is a possibility it can also learn even more useful skills, like charm. A bear like this can be pretty pricey though, the one in the screenshot sold for 90g, and it wasn’t even auctioned during peak hours when all the people who have money are on. So it’s likely you’ll have to find your own bear. ^^
Skills you might not want on the bear cub are things like drag, which pulls people to you. As a priest, you don’t always wanna be in people’s face, but you can have multiple bear cubs if you want one for dragging. Drag also has a radius of 1000, which means your cub can pull someone who’s run off your screen completely.
There’s also a skill that REDUCES absorption, I forget the name of it. This one you want to avoid for sure.
Note: Flexibility and Charm books are extremely expensive and rare, so it’s hard to level it up.
Some general notes about normal pets, regardless of which one you get, their max maturity, max aptitudes, etc are all the same for the same type of pet, regardless of level. So a defensive level 10 bear, will be just as good as a defensive level 60 tree pet once it also reaches 60.
Most pets work fine as dps if you increase their str or int. The difference between the pets is only the skills they gain, and most times a pet won’t gain a skill that makes it THAT much better of a dps than another pet.
I used this build when I was a holy priest but I was to weak so I went hybrid so now I can support and kill at the same time lol
