2)—Gaming Etiquette—
What are some of the more common gaming ettiqutte rules in maple?
a) unprovoked kill stealing is not acceptable in most cases, usually if someone is already killing in a map, you should not disturb their training, even if they do not want to party you.
b) its not polite to beg people for mesos or items, most people will just ignore you
c) Please leave a mark (drop 10 mesos or some etc that is distinctly from the mob drops of that map) to signal to other people that someone is already in a boss map ( papulatus clock, scarlion+targa, captain latanica). This will help reduce the number of “crashing” situations.
d) don’t steal marks that people leave
e) every world has their own anego/samurai killing/camping rules, do read up/ask about it.
f) Read the Rules http://maple.asiasoftsea.com/policy/prohibited/

3)—Transport Tips—
a) where is neo tokyo?
use the mirror of dimension to enter zipangu,
then in the middle of the map, there is a blue crystal which will take you there.

b) how do i get to leafre from victoria using magic seed?
From elenia, use the top most portal and walk towards the green tree trunk map. the portal to leafre is there.

c) How do I find Cody/Joyce/Suni/Garnox/Naomi/Dr. P?
They can be reached at the EVENT MAP option at the Door of Dimension:Versatile portal

d) How do I get to NLC / Zipangu?
use Door of Dimension:Versatile portal available in most town maps (known exceptions: malaysia, kampung village, boat quay )

e) g) how to i get to orbis, erev, edelstein , Singapore/Malaysia?
the ship/plane is in the top map in Six Path Crossway map.

f) Whats the fastest way to six path crossway map?
1 portal up from sleepywood (thanks Alilatias)

g) what is the fastest way from ludi, orbis, mulung, elnath to victoria?
travel via edelstein will give you 7 minutes between vic/orbis

h) what is the fastest way from ludi, orbis, mulung, elnath to sg/my?
see item (g) first, the traditional way can be seen in this link
http://forums.asiasoftsea.com/showpo…4&postcount;=72

i) is there a fast way to el nath?
you can either go via edelstein/orbis from “six path crossway”
then from orbis, you can jump down the orbis tower/use orbis rock scrolls
OR go via mulung->herb town->aqua->el nath

j) Trick 1: traveling using Crimsonwood Keep and NLC. (you must be level 90 at least)
you are able to establish a link between TWO towns where a mirror of dimension exists. you must be lvl 90 at least

[Marking your destination]
First, i go to leafre, I enter NLC, then I exit NLC by subway. this marks the exit portal at NLC as leafre.

[returning to leafre]
I travel to another town, say El Nath using normal travel methods
I want to return to leafre.
I enter cwk -> taxi -> NLC -> subway exit, I will exit at Leafre.

[returning to el nath]
at leafre (or if I want to re-mark, then from any other town)
I enter NLC -> taxi ->CWK -> ridley
I will end up at el nath.

(note; entering zipangu will screw up the exit portal of nlc)
workaround: always enter zipangu from the town where you marked the exit portal of nlc.

k) Trick 2: traveling using Return scroll to New Leaf City
(anywhere with Hera NPC/amoria) TO go from SG/MY -> (NLC) FAST.
enter wedding village using npc hera.
use NLC scroll. (you buy this from MO after completing some prequests that make him talk)

you can also use this trick to go from anywhere to the TWO destinations you marked in trick 1 (item j)

l) Is there a fast way of travelling from sharp cliff 1->4 on the way to LionHeart Castle (LHC)?
after entering the map, change channel and you will find yourself near the exit portal of that map. *Tip from maglcchef/starbinder*

m) entering minar forest area without 50 fame. basically the test for 50 fame is done at the exit portals of the town itself and not anywhere else, therefore using the shortcut from North of the Forest: Green Tree trunk + seeds from tatamo will allow you to bypass the 50 fame portals

Basically, all you have to do is fly to Leafre, buy seeds, go back to Ellinia (you could use the dimension portal trick here), access Leafre through the portal somewhere in Ellinia.

Really useful for KoC’s that want to hunt peridots without having to waste time getting 50 fames.

4)—Quest questions—
a) some quests have been removed. so your quest count for quest specialist medal has been reduced. sorry. just suck it up.b) Time temple has been reset., you need to redo killing 999 of them . It takes a higher level now to complete the quest. (I believe you need to be 16x to complete the quest.)

you may want to complete this series first before you take on alcaster quests because the quest rewards gives you nearly every single jewel to make star rock (except opal),
and 1 of each (str/dex/luk/wis) and dark
since the alcaster series of quests requires 2 of (str/dex/luk/wis) you just need to scrounge up 1 set more of (str/dex/luk/wis) and 1 opal.

c) Horned tail transformation quest was reset, however, you just need to talk to moira to get the quest and you can auto complete it then and there if you have all your previously hunted quest items

d) alcaster series of quest so that you can buy all cure/summoning rock/magic rock has been reset. you need to redo it again. (it might be easier now, not sure haven’t done it yet)

Poy123 says the quest chain requires the following items in total per character (pre bigbang)
“2 of each Crystals (power/dex/luk/wis),
Star rock
30 lucida tails
100 Star Pixie’s Piece of Star
50 Lunar Pixie’s Piece of Moon
30 Luster Pixie’s Piece of Sun
80 Hector’s Tails
80 White Fang’s Tails
1 Dark Crystal ”
you will need between 12-20 orbis rock scrolls to travel.

e)dragon rider pq quests are reset.

f)all the animal head helms quest (Andras/Marbas/Valefor/Crocell/Amdusias) are removed. so you can no longer do them.

5)—Skills questions—
a) without a full sp reset, it is likely that your character may be screwed up,
just wait for asiasoft announcements for full sp reset scrolls that may be given out in future major skills update patches such as maple chaos, maple jump

b) you have to allocate all 1st job skill points before you can allocate 2nd job skill points

you have to allocate all 2nd job skill points before you can allocate 3rd job skill points

you have to allocate all 3rd job skill points before you can allocate 4th job skill points

the user interface will warn you once you start to attempt to add skillpoints from a higher tier job advancement into a lower tier skill set. choose to cancel at this point unless its really what you intend to do.

c) please read the skill guides stickied in various forums or google for the big bang build guide for your profession.

d) WARNING: if your job has final attack, you must max it.

Guide to skill changes for Chaos patch
http://shakar96.wordpress.com/2011/06/27/chaos-guide/2/

6)—pet questions—
a)pet skills are bought from the cs and NOT a quest.
the cash shop item representing the pet skill lasts for 90 days.
however once you double click it and apply the skill to a pet, the skill is permanent.

b)IF YOU CHANGE YOUR PET (eg: evolving a robo pet, getting a big dragon from a baby dragon). what maplesea does is to DELETE away your old pet with all its pet skills and give you a new one.
SO NEVER EVER UPGRADE a pet with pet skills

7)—mob questions—
a) anego, tengu, bodyguard A, samurai touch damage/magic damage are confirmed reduced. I believe exp given by these bosses are similarly reduced.

b) anego now gives 1.4m exp only.

c) some bosses may have their damage altered as of patch 1.06 (not all, i believe scar, targa, papulatus, pianus at least)
http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=45927

8)—Item Questions—
a) WHITE SCROLLS no longer work. if you buy one, you would have wasted your money.

miracle chaos scrolls and miracle glove for att will be deleted from the game after nov 9. if for any reason you happen to end up in possession of one of these after nov 9, in all likelihood, they WILL NOT WORK.

shielding wards do not work on seal locked items (lots of things will not work on sealed lock items after chaos patch)
http://maple.asiasoftsea.com/news_ev…change_in_sea/

b) my decent se/decent hb/decent door/decent haste skills are missing.
just unequip and reequip your potential equip with the skill. you will get back the skill. too bad for glitchers, because they don’t actually own the potential equip , they will have to make/purchase a legit set now.

c)EXPLORER , LIRIN AND RESISTANCE WILL NOT STACK with each other

These rings are given in New Job Release events for leveling your character for N number of levels (eg: 40 to 90, 1-80 etc)
you can only EQUIP one of these rings.
Old Explorer’s Cruel Ring
-Old Explorer’s Critical Ring
-Old Explorer’s Magical Ring
-Old Resistance Ring
-Old Lilin Ring
-New Explorer’s Cruel Ring[Chaos Patch]
-New Explorer’s Critical Ring[Chaos Patch]
-New Explorer’s Magical Ring[Chaos Patch]
-New Resistance Lux Ring[Chaos Patch]
-New Lilin’s Aura Ring[Chaos Patch]
-Warrior’s Ring
-Wise Man’s Ring
-Hunter’s Ring
-Explorer’s Gratias Ring

http://forums.asiasoftsea.net/showthread.php?t=982510

Larson stuff:
you can only wear 1 challenger ring and 1 pendant.

d) Evolving ring event is over. YOU CAN ONLY WEAR 1 evolving ring of any kind/level (Maplesea ONLY has “evolving ring II”).

e) MON VS CHT VS HT neck VS Dominator Pendant discussion
(note: this is approximate, please do your own calculations to confirm)
http://forums.asiasoftsea.com/showth…1#post13606555

f) Use of Purification totems

FOR purchasing van leon items.

you need the lion king medal dropped by van leon after he DIES. (each van leon boss killed drops a few. (eg: 0 to 2).

a lion king medal dclicked + 50 purification totem becomes a NOBLE LION KING MEDAL
a lion king medal dclicked + 100 purification totem becomes a ROYAL LION KING MEDAL
so eg: to buy a van leon WEAPON from the NPC in lion heart castle, you need 14 ROYAL LION KING MEDALS

g)

Change in Seal Lock System

Please be informed that there are additional enhancement features for Seal Lock System after Chaos Patch.

Seal locked equipments are:
Unable to use any type of normal scrolls, including potential and enhancement scrolls to prevent equipment being destroyed in any way.
Unable to use Shielding Ward on equipment as it is considered a cash item scroll.
Still able to use Miracle Cube, Premium Miracle Cube and Vicious Hammer on equipment.
Equipment is untrade-able in any way within the seal locking period.

9)—Formulas—
where can I learn more about the changes to formulas, skills?
http://www.southperry.net/forumdisplay.php?f=9043

Calculators for dmg etc
http://www.happychinchilla.info/damage.html

Where can I learn more about the potential system? (note, this introduces the legendary tier, which is NOT yet in maplesea).
http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=47311

you need to have sufficient accurancy vs the monster avoid.
and
there is a minimum miss rate based on the difference of your level and the monster level.
if you are 19 levels below a mob, you have a 95% miss rate
if you are 1 level below a mob level, you will have a 5% miss rate.

since boss levels have been changed, eg: HT, zak, scar .
this means anyone under lvl 160 will not be able to hit ht effectively
anyone under lvl 110 will not be able to zak effectively
see mob levels here
http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=34232

10)—CWKPQ Prequests—

to get MO to sell you stuff. you need to do some prequests “The Fallen Wood & The Right Path”
read the thread for details

Also: Before you go to crimsonwood PQ, or buy service, it is suggested you get the marker of heroism and the map of phantom forest at least. read for details
http://forums.asiasoftsea.net/showthread.php?t=840678

12)—Guild Revamp—
at present you can read details of it on the website… I’ll try to update the links or parse the data in if it is removed/changed
www.maplesea.com

also there is some data here with regards to gaining points

Lv. 8: 80,000,000 meso
Lv. 9: 90,000,000 meso
Lv. 10: 100,000,000 meso

From the above, you can see that all guild skills (except the last skill) act as a huge meso sink designed to suck mesos out of the system as skills need to be repeatedly activated after the initial purchase.

13)—Ultimate Adventurers—
maplesea deleted the info on their site.
details:
http://spadow.wordpress.com/2010/09/…-111-van-leon/

how to make an ultimate adventurer
1) train a KOC to level 120
2) complete all job quests, and obtain the captain knight medal
3) talk to cygnus, she will give you to option to create the UA. you can only create 1 UA per account. regardless of the number of KOC you have. deleting that created UA will not give you a chance to create another UA.
4) the UA can be any BASIC explorer job (ie: theif, mage, warrior, pirate, bowman) , it has no relation/correspondence with your KOC job.

Differences between a UA and normal adventurer.
at Low levels, the UA has the following advantages
Successor Medal +2wa/+2ma which is the best medal short of the lvl 200 medal.
Empress set equipment. (the set bonus makes changing to a zakum helm unsuitable)

at mid levels, the UA does not need to do the arduous quests that grant the KOC attack skill and Empress Might Skill.
Normal explorers can also acquire those skills, as such this is not a significant advantage. but the full chain of quests takes a long time to complete (2 weeks to 10 weeks)

at high levels (eg: 200) , there will be no significant difference between a UA and explorer.
Both will be using the lvl 200 medal, and their KOC skill will not be used as their primary attack skill.

~~
The most significant bonus from the release of ultimate adventurer is the release of the blessing of empress skill.
this makes any other character on your maple account get +24wa/ma boost if you have a lvl 120 KOC character. it will not stack with blessing of fairy.

These 2 quest was very good
50 – Malek’s Joy of Music (Village Chief Malek – Malysia: Muddy Banks 2; 4 quest chain) – 26 Fame (3,5,8,10 fame per quest)
and
55 – Goddess’s Pet (Spiruna – Orbis: Old Man’s House; 4 Quest Chain) – 20 Fame

Both was fairly easy, with the first quest with abit more patience, but yeah, just like that 46 fame within such a short time

The other 4 fame just trade fame for 4 days and you should get 50 fame fairly easily

If they really increase the fame requirement, i will just kill papu for the 30 fame haha

120 – Protect Ludibrium (Mr. Bouffon – Ludibrium: Path of Time; 4 quest chain, boss fight: Papulatus Clock) – 30 Fame

Hope this helps abit.

EDIT: this one gives 30 fame too !
85 – For Phyllia (Phyllia – Sunset Road: Magatia; 30 quest chain beginning at Parwen the Ghost & Deal With a Broker) – 30 Fame
