MicroVolts Movement Guide

MicroVolts Movement Guide by iHate

First off, I didn’t write this guide. This guide was written by [Indi]Love in CB Phase and I translated it. The original guide is in german and is located in the german forums.

Basic Movement

In Microvolts it’s every important to know the basic movement, because evasion is a very important part of this game.
Most of the following moves aren’t possible without these basics:

– walking to the left , right ( A;D )
– jumping to the left , right ( hold A;D + jump (spacebar))
– Doublejump ( only possible with melee, jump, jump)

Advanced Movement

As you guys probably know, besides Basic Movement there are also advanced tricks that focus on fast mobility and alot of DPS.

Swap Shot ( explained HERE in TreasoN’s guide )
Tail Shot
Bunny Shot
Ninja Swap ( explained HERE in TreasoN’s guide )
Wave Shot
Wave Swap Shot

Notice: Only doable with single shot weapons : shotgun, rocket launcher, grenade launcher

Swap Shot ( by TreasoN )

2 Weapons used

Fast shooting of 2 different singleshot weapons

How to : Weapon 1 –> Hold shooting button ( Mouse 1) –> Switch to Weapon 2 –> Switch to weapon 1 –> continue ( while holding Mouse 1)

Pros / Cons :

+ Easiest move
+ alot of DPS

– easy target for enemies
– little movement

Tipps for perfect weapon swapping HERE
__________________________________________________ ____________

Tail Shot

1 or 2 weapons + melee

Advanced Swap Shot. The Tail Shot is similiar to Swap Shot only that it fires the 2. shot even faster so that you can do even more damage!

IMPORTANT: Use direct binds for switching ur weapons! The “Previous Weapon” ( default Q) is too slow and ur Tail Shot will be as fast as your Swap shot!

How to: Shoot weapon –> switch to melee –> Shoot with weapon 1 or weapon 2

Pros / Cons

+ you don’t have to use 2 weapons like you do in Swap Shot
+ faster than Swap Shot
+ more DPS

– harder to master
– not enough mobility yet

__________________________________________________ ______________________________

Bunny Shot

2 weapons + melee

The Bunny Shot is a advanced version of the Tail Shot. The difference is, instead of standing still, you jump left and right, making it
harder to hit you!

How to: Shoot weapon –> (Direction-)jump + switch to melee –> switch to weapon + shoot –> (Direction-)jump + switch to melee –> switch to weapon +shoot –> continue

Pros / Cons:

+ good movement = harder to hit you
+ fast shots = more DPS
+ harder to anticipate

– hard to master
– requires persistent aiming

Ninja Swap ( by TreasoN)

1 or 2 weapons used + melee

A shot is followed by a melee doublejump and another shot follows at the highest point of your 2nd jump. The move starts with ur ranged weapon.

Move starts from right and goes to left

How to: Shoot + jump –> switch to melee + jump –> switch to weapon + shoot

Pros / Cons

+ alot of mobility = harder for your enemy to hit you
+ less damage from rockets, close quarter combat

– less DPS in comparison to normal Swap Shot
– Easy to anticipate

Wave Shot (by [Indi]Love)

1 or 2 weapons used + melee

While walking with melee, you shoot twice DURING your doublejump!
This is probably the most important move. Melee is starting weapon.

Move starts from right to left

The melee highers movement speed. This is why u walk with it as much as you can. Unfortunately, you might be surprised by an enemy and have to act quickly. The Wave Shot is the best move to do so!

How to: Melee –> Jump + switch to weapon + shoot –> switch to melee + jump –> switch to weapon + shoot –> switch to melee

Pros / Cons

+ fast shift from movement to attacking
+ fast shooting of 1 or 2 weapons
+ best evasion

+ very hard to anticipate
– very hard to master
– requires good timing
– requires persistent aiming

Wave Swap Shot

Up to 3 ranged weapons + melee

This is a combination of Wave Shot and Swap Shot.
While walking with melee, you shoot twice WHILE doublejumping and as soon as you land u follow IMMEDIATELY with another shot.

How to: melee –> jump + switch to weapon 1 + shoot –> switch to melee + jump –> switch to weapon 2 + shoot –> switch to weapon 1 + shoot–> switch to melee

Pros / Cons

+ fast shift between movement and attack
+ best DPS combined with best evasion
+ very hard to anticipate

– very hard to master
– requires perfect timing
– requires persistent aiming
