Since I’ve seen so many questions regarding this, I decided to make a guide for everyone who’s having issues on this. I can’t explain why (because I’m not technologically inclined,) but adding the PriusLauncher and Updater to the Data Execution Program (DEP) seems to fix alot of problems with crashing and non-loading.

I myself had a problem with the game not even responding when I clicked on it. So, I decided to add it to the DEP and see if that would fix the problem. Needless to say, it did. Here’s how to add the game to your DEP:
STEP ONE: Go to Control Panel.

STEP TWO: Click on System and Security.

STEP THREE: Click on System.

STEP FOUR: Click on “Advanced System Settings”.

STEP FIVE: Under the “Performance” block, click on “Settings.”


STEP SIX: Go to the tab labaled “Data Execution Program” and make sure you select the option that says “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:”

STEP SEVEN: Click the “Add” button.

STEP EIGHT:ADD the PriusLauncher and the Updater to the list. You will have to do each one individually, but I highlighted both. These are the ones I added to my DEP list. Both of these files are found in the main download area for Prius: OS(my computer)>gPotato>PriusOnline

STEP NINE Once both items are added to your list, Click APPLY.

At this point, you should be able to play if your issue was regarding the DEP.

However, if you’re still unable to play at this point, I highly recommend you uninstall the client, and try reinstalling it without ANY other windows up. With the client being built the way that it is, it’s not uncommon to see people with corrupted data because the client has been interrupted while installing.

If reinstalling doesn’t work, try adjusting the settings on the patcher menu so that your screen resolution is automatically set to something smaller, and in windowed mode. NOT FULLSCREEN MODE. Some players have found that crashing and non-working has been solved by using this simple solution, until they can get it fixed. (Thanks, aberdash! I had noticed this before, but forgot to add it.)

Here’s a tip for you who don’t get DEP working right:

1: Restart the PC
2: Go to DEP in Control Panel in Systems.
3: Exclude after Activating –> PriusLauncher.exe, Prius.exe and Updater.exe
4: Start the Launcher, hit the Option and check settings there if there’s something you want to change
5: Start Prius and have fun!

This solution works 100%, if it doesn’t work for you. It may be the problem that your PC do not support Prius Requirements.
I am unsure what the problem could be. At the time of writing this, the client is still slightly wonky for some people, and a better client is expected to be released on Monday the 25th of April. If neither of these options work, I say take a deep breath, smile, and wait for then.
