Terra Battle The Last Story Guide

Terra Battle The Last Story Guide by wwwisata

Hi guys, it’s been more than a week since the event is released, and I still saw questions here and there, so I hope I can be of help with this guide.

Warning: This guide is highly subjective. If there’s anything you disagree with, please feel free to leave any feedbacks or suggestions.

About The Last Story

  • 40 staminas are needed to attempt the stage.
  • Is extremely difficult (probably the most challenging stage in the game so far).
  • Has a ridiculous requirement to get one of the two reward units -.-

Recommended Units

  • 1 dedicated healer (preferably with Heal All)A’misandra Λ, Kuscah, Sorman, Amimari, A’misandra, Amina

Alternative: 2 non-dedicated healers with Heal All (Rikken, R’zonand, etc)

  • 1-2 magic damage dealer(s) (preferably Dark or Lightning to avoid healing enemy mobs)The 4 SS mages, staff mages (Leviathan, Puprope, A’merpact, etc)

    Alternative: Any elemental damage dealers

  • 3-4 physical damage dealers (the stronger the better, preferably sword)Ma’curi, S’naip, Gugba, Sheena, Zuzu, Bahl, etc

Alternative: Anyone strong regardless of weapon type

Not Recommended Units

  • Jaguna, because Jaguna :p
  • Low-leveled units
  • Olber with Self-Sacrifice, it’s quite risky (should be fine to bring Olber Λ without Self-Sacrifice)

The Battle

Early warning for mentioned ridiculous requirement, you need to beat all 10 floors in UNDER 50 seconds unit movements (not real world time ticktock) to get Zael to drop, else you will only get Calista.

Here’s a quick recap on what to do on each floor to get both reward units:

  • Floor 1Goal: Do not hit Calista with Zael.

Try to kill Calista as fast as possible because her Rage hurts a lot. Don’t mind the lackeys, they will go when their boss goes.

Fail: None yet, just a more difficult Floor 4 if Calista went !!! when she was hit with Zael.

  • Floor 2Goal: Keep Syrenne alive through the floor.

    Protip: Heal her.

Fail: None yet, just a more difficult Floor 4 if Syrenne was dead.

  • Floor 3Goal: None, but you might want to end this floor with a formation that will make it easier to pincer the poison blob on Floor 4.

Floor 3 will have more enemies if you pass Floor 1 and 2 without triggering the fails.

    Fail: None yet.

  • Floor 4Goal: Beat this floor in 5 or less turns. 3 or less turns if you fail either Floor 1 or 2.

Poison blob (Venomous Ghoul) will have a shield up every even turns (2, 4, 6, etc), which will reduce all damage taken by a lot, so it is wise to use this (even) turns to make a move on the accompanying Gryphon.

Fail: If you fail the goal for this floor, you will not get either Calista or Zael on this run. Proceed through the rest of the floors while familiarizing yourself with the mob positions and such to prepare for the next run.

  • Floor 5Goal: None.

Nothing to see here, kindly proceed with caution.

    Fail: None.

  • Floor 6Goal: Kill 4 or more Golems with Yurick’s fire skill (either one is fine).

Floor 6 will only have 3 Golems if you trigger the fail in Floor 4, hence no way to kill 4 Golems with Yurick’s fire skill.

Fail: If you fail the goal for this floor, you will not get either Calista or Zael on this run. Proceed through the rest of the floors while familiarizing yourself with the mob positions and such to prepare for the next run.

  • Floor 7Goal: None.

Nothing to see here, kindly proceed with caution.

    Fail: None.

  • Floor 8Goal: Beat this floor in 6 or MORE turns (preferably 9 turns, when the Nullify Healing debuff has gone).

If everything is going smoothly, floor 8 will star Lowell as help and have Nullify Healing cast on all units. If none of those happen then you won’t be getting Calista or Zael this run. For an easier run, keep either: 1 Golem (horizontal mobs) or BOTH Muruk (top and bottom mobs) alive, while running around for 6-9 turns. The Golem will attack with either Vertical (2) or Lateral (2) fire damage, while the Muruk will kill everyone with Inferno All if there is only one of them left alive.

Fail: If you fail the goal for this floor, you will not get either Calista or Zael on this run. Proceed through the rest of the floors while familiarizing yourself with the mob positions and such to prepare for the next run.

  • Floor 9Goal: Kill Mitra, DO NOT kill Zael.

If everything is going smoothly, floor 9 will have 2 bosses Mitra and Zael. Kill Mitra and leave Zael alone to proceed. Mitra will have a shield that will cut a lot of damage, and this is where the mages come in play. 9 magic attacks are needed to down his shield, for easier killing. If Mitra doesn’t appear then you won’t be getting Calista or Zael this run.

Fail: Dude it’s almost the end please don’t screw up here.

  • Floor 10Goal: This floor has the most ambiguous clear goal, but I’ll try to explain it the best I could. Zael needs to damage Calista with one of his skills the turn Calista dies. There. Simple :p

It’s the last stage, hurray! The deal with this stage is, the minions will buff Calista’s defense when they’re adjacent to her. They will also breed more minions when left alone, so killing the minions as fast as possible would be great. Calista will summon 6 more minions when her HP drop below 25% (if I’m not mistaken), but she will not move that turn. And just like in Floor 1, the minions will go when their boss goes.

    Fail: If Zael died or he didn’t damage Calista with one of his skills the turn Calista dies, you will not get either Calista or Zael on this run, too bad ;_;

Repeat warning, you need to beat all 10 floors in UNDER 50 seconds unit movements (not real world time ticktock) to get Zael to drop, else you will only get Calista.

Additional Tips

  • Never hesitate to reset the floor (close and reopen app, S/L, save load, whatever kids called it these days) if you feel like you’re wasting a lot of time moving around. Floor can be reset even when it’s beaten and gone to the story telling phase. As long as the next floor hasn’t started, you will be put back to the previous floor. And yes, this also works with the final floor 10.
  • Ally Revival skill can be useful sometimes.
  • Having high level units will make the run a lot easier. Around 80+ would be great.
  • Short, quick, compact movements, like the ones you do in Puppet Show, would be great to save time.

Reward

  • Calista (3% SB increase for the next drop)
  • Zael (3% SB increase for the next drop)
  • Around 200k+ exp and 1k+ coin

I guess that should be it for The Last Story. I hope this guide will be somewhat helpful to those who hasn’t beaten the challenge yet, or to those aiming to get both Calista and Zael. As I’ve said this guide is highly subjective, but feel free to leave any feedbacks or suggestions. Enjoy.
