RuneScape Eoc Slayer Guide by Miss Dove

This guide will focus on Kuradal and the tasks she can give.

For a while I have had a slayer thread on my clan forums, to help out our clan members with slaying in Eoc.
For that thread I started uploading videos of the tasks to youtube. The videos showed slay exp rate along with which abilities I used and when.
Some people that stumbled upon the videos suggested that I posted my slayer rates here along with some additional info, seeing as there arent very many EOC slayer guides out there.
The rates I post there will be rates that are reproduced, sometimes you might get a little more exp/h sometimes a little less, depending on world spawns/locations/ability use and other factors.
For comparability I’ve started the rates from when attacking a monster and ending the time when the last monster in the test dies.

This is my basic magic setup, for certain tasks I swap necklace for Demonhorn Necklace (if task drops bones) and legs for Morytania Legs 4 (If task is located at slayer tower).
For wyverns I swap offhand for a ele/mind/dfs shield to prepect vs breath.

If you cannot afford virtus book (or dont want to pay its cost) I suggest using AH book or a grifolic orb. Grifolic orb has the exact same stats as and works as an offhand just like mages’ book, but the orb costs 30K vs a few million.

Dont forget to bring runes to task ;) I tested setup with virtus wand + virtus book and compared to treachery wand + virtus book, and again I didnt notice a difference in slayer exp/h. I assume its because the book adds enough accuracy and the extra accuray from using both virtus wand and virtus book doesnt matter vs the low defense of slayer monsters.

This is my basic ranged setup. I dont range much anymore thus using whatever I happened to have in my bank… Atm I only range 1 task, Order of Ascension.
As for the mercenary gloves, I do not recommend buying them. I only got them cause I have enough dg tokens to last me a lifetime.

Range abilities

The main reason I dont use range much is the flow of the abilities. Range doesnt have the same flow mage or melee does, and it also lacks a damage buffer (meta/berserk type of buff). Death’s Swiftness from the world wakes quest doesnt make up for this lack of damage buff, as it doesnt last long enough.

Potions
For slayer I use overloads, prayer renewal and prayer potions/super restore in amounts depending on task.
You can use extreme/super sets if you have those available or depending on your willingness to spend money on tasks. Ovls do give an advantage and I will recommend you use those if you have the herb level.
If you cannot use soul split I suggest you bring a unicorn or some food.

Other items
I have some items that never leave my inventory and that I keep on the same spots always.
I bring Ferocious ring (tp to Kuradal), Tokkul-Zo (tp to bank/fairy ring), Gem bag (for diamonds/rubies), Ring of slaying (tp to slayer tower), Charming Imp (Charm collector, LOVE IT), Bonecrusher (auto burrying bones, works with Demonhorn neck) and herbicide (destorys herbs for herb exp).
If you prefer to hoard Ferocious rings, use the Tokkul-Zo to teleport to a fairy ring and use fairy ring to ancient cavern.

Spawns
If you are a maxed combat player and use the gear setups mentioned above (or better setups) one of the most significant factors limiting your exp/h is spawn rates. Always look for a world with 1k+ players in it.

If you cant find a free world, politely ask whoevers occupying the world you’d like to use, how many kills they have left or if they would be kind enough to use a different spot (If they are not taking full advantage of all the spawns).
If you log onto a world thats taken, please do not begin to attack spawns. Fighting over spawns gives less exp to everyone. A single player can often use all spawns at locations like slayer tower and kuradals (especially dragons).

Aberrant Spectres I recommend skipping these
Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 65K slayer exp/h
Gear: Melee setup
Location: Pollnivneach Slayer Dungeon (Slayer ring tp to Sumona)
Note: For melee you want to focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault, these 2 abilities will rip through monsters fast. Try to alternate between the basic abilities until you can use berserk or assaults. Alternating should make it possible to never miss a hit with abilities (avoiding auto attacks).

Since the rate was so low even after buff I did not bother testing with mage or range, neither ways will make the exp go up enough to make the task worth doing. I recommend skipping.

Abyssal Demons
Method: Mage, blood barrage momentum
Exp rate: 185K slayer exp/h (175K Treachry Wand + Grifolic orb)
Gear: Mage setup + morytania legs 4 (Morytania Diary reward, gives slay exp bonus)
Location: Slayer tower very top floor, using a slayer contract for bonus exp.
Note: When using momentum try to find a high spawn world (1K+ players) and attack the demons as they spawn. If you attack a demon far away, attack one close to the group to get teleported back to the middle.

Method: Melee, abilities
Exp rate: 150K slayer exp/h
Gear: Melee setup + morytania legs 4 (Morytania Diary reward, gives slay exp bonus)
Location: Slayer tower using a slayer contract for bonus exp.
Note: To maximize your exp/h aim to build up adrenaline by aggroing a few different abyssal demons so you have them gathered around you already when you have enough adrenaline for flurry. Focus on flurrying each time its off cd making sure your adrenaline is sufficient. Only berserk when flurry is on cd. Use a familiar to aggro demons around you to minimize running, rather than using the familiar for its damage on a single demon.

Aviansie
I blocked aviansie as they were bad exp/h. Have not unblocked to retest.

Black Demons
Method: Mage, blood barrage momentum + cannon
Exp rate: 135K slayer exp/h (Treachery wand + Grifolic orb)
Gear: Mage setup
Location: Taverly Dungeon
Note: If needed run west/east to gather demons more for maximum aoe effect. Personally I dont find the increased cost of barrage + cannon worth it for 10K extra slay exp/h.

Method: Mage, fire abilities
Exp rate: 140K slayer exp/h (130K Chaotic staff)
Gear: Mage setup
Location: Taverly Dungeon (Home Tele)
Note: Note: When using abilities use chain often. Your main focus should be on using asphyxiate and wild magic and when these abilities are on cooldown use meta and rebuild adrenaline for wild magic and asphyxiate again. Try to find a high spawn world (1K+ players) to make sure the respawn is fast.

Method: Melee, Melee abilities
Exp rate: 130K slayer exp/h
Gear: Melee setup
Location: Taverly Dungeon (Home Tele)
Note: For melee you want to focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault, these 2 abilities will rip through demons fast.

Ranging Black demons with dual chaotic crossbows and armadyl armour gives 105K slay exp/h.

Black Dragons
Method: Melee, Melee abilities
Exp rate: 90K slayer exp/h (80K if you pick hides and bank with yak, 75K exp/h if using chaotic weapons)
Gear: Melee setup
Location: Zanaris Evil Chicken Lair (Tokkul-Zo tp to fairy ring)
Note: For melee you want to focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault, these 2 abilities will rip through dragons fast. Try to alternate between the basic abilities until you can use berserk or assaults. Alternating should make it possible to never miss a hit with abilities (avoiding auto attacks).

Bloodvelds
See mutated bloodvelds, bloodvelds in slayer tower are extremely low exp/h. No rate for slayer tower bloodvelds as I have them blocked.

Blue Dragons I recommend skipping these
Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 60K slayer exp/h (even lower if you pick hides)
Gear: Melee setup
Location: Kuradals Cave (Fero Ring, BJQ Fairy ring, or games necklace tp to Barbarian Outpost)
Note: For melee you want to focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault, these 2 abilities will rip through monsters fast. Try to alternate between the basic abilities until you can use berserk or assaults. Alternating should make it possible to never miss a hit with abilities (avoiding auto attacks).

Since the rate was so low even after buff I did not bother testing with mage or range, neither ways will make the exp go up enough to make the task worth doing. I recommend skipping.

Cres Automatons
Method: Mage, blood barrage momentum
Exp rate: 140K slayer exp/h (Treachery Wand + Grifolic orb)
Gear: Mage setup
Location: Cresbot cave (Sixth age circuit teleport)
Note: When using momentum try to find a high spawn world (1K+ players) and attack the Generator cresbots in the northeast corner. If you run a few squares south you can bundle them up nicely and when you get the hang of it, line them up in a 2×2 grid to hit 4 at a time. They range and will not run up to you to use smash attacks making this way the safest way of barraging them.

Personally I wouldnt barrage them now, since I dont see +5K slay exp/h worth the high cost of barraging. Using abilities gave around 120K slayer exp/h, with blood barrage.

Method: Melee, abilities
Exp rate: 135K slayer exp/h (120K with chaotic longs/chaotic maul)
Gear: Melee setup
Location: Cresbot cave (Sixth age circuit teleport)
Note: For these you want to focus on the Cresbot Tracers and for abilities focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault.. Try to alternate between the basic abilities until you can use berserk or assaults.

Dagannoth
Method: Mage, blood barrage momentum
Exp rate: 100K slayer exp/h (110K slay exp/cannon)
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn necklace (restore prayer)
Location: Waterbirth Dungeon (Modifyed Teletab to Rellekka Portal then boats)
Note: When using momentum try to find a high spawn world (1K+ players) use the cannon to gather them close.

Method: Range, red chinchompas + cannon (credit Billieboy0)
Exp rate: 100K slay exp/cannon
Gear: Range setup + Amulet of zealots with anguish
Location: Waterbirth Dungeon, just before the doors and close to the small obelisk (Modifyed Teletab to Rellekka Portal then boats)
Note: Vampyrism, uni or ss is advised. But praying melee does the job aswell

Dark Beasts
Method: Mage, blood barrage momentum
Exp rate: 160K slayer exp/h (180K exp/h using a cannon)
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn necklace (restore prayer)
Location: Mourners Tunnels (Temple teleport on tiny elf crystal)
Note: Attack the Dbeasts when they move towards the cannon and are gathered close to each other. If you run a few squares south/north you can bundle them up to maximize the aoe spells effect. Bring a unicorn to heal you if you take too much damage.

Method: Mage, fire abilities
Exp rate: 150K slayer exp/h (Chaotic staff)
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restore prayer)
Location: Mourners Tunnels (Temple teleport on tiny elf crystal)
Note: When using abilities use chain often. Your main focus should be on using asphyxiate and wild magic and when these abilities are on cooldown use meta and rebuild adrenaline for wild magic and asphyxiate again.

Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 150K slayer exp/h (130K chaotic longs)
Gear: Melee setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restore prayer)
Location: Mourners Tunnels (Temple teleport on tiny elf crystal)
Note: When using abilities focus on building up adrenaline for flurry and berserk. Try to flurry 3 Dbeasts at a time and use the berserk-mode abilities on full lifepoint beasts, then finish them off if needed with a 2nd flurry.

Ranging gives a rate of 130K slay exp/h with chaotic crossbows.

Desert Strykewyrm I recommend skipping this task
Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 70K slayer exp/h
Gear: Melee setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restore prayer)
Location: Pollnivneach (Slayer ring tp to Sumona)
Note: For melee you want to focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault, these 2 abilities will rip through monsters fast

Dust Devils I recommend skipping this task
Method: Mage, fire abilities
Exp rate: 85K slayer exp/h
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restore prayer)
Location: Pollnivneach Smoke Well (Slayer ring TP to Sumona)
Note: When using abilities use chain often. Your main focus should be on using asphyxiate and wild magic and when these abilities are on cooldown use meta and rebuild adrenaline for wild magic and asphyxiate again. Try to find a high spawn world (1K+ players) to make sure the respawn is fast.

Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 85K slayer exp/h (70K slay exp/h with Chaotic Maul)
Gear: Melee setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restore prayer)
Location: Pollnivneach (Slayer ring tp to Sumona)
Note: For melee you want to focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault, these 2 abilities will rip through dusts fast. Try to alternate between the basic abilities until you can use berserk or assaults. Alternating should make it possible to never miss a hit with abilities (avoiding auto attacks).

Fire Giants
Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 100K slayer exp/h (110K exp/h using cannon inside resource dungeon. 76K exp/h using chaotic longs without cannon. Barraging gives same rate as melee abilities)
Gear: Melee setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restore prayer)
Location: Waterfall Dungeon, room with the entrance to resource dungeon. (Games necklace tp to Barbarian Outpost)
Note: When using abilities focus on building up adrenaline for flurry and berserk. Try to flurry 3or 4 Fire Giants at a time and use the berserk-mode abilities on full lifepoint Giants, then finish them off if needed with a 2nd flurry or a bleed.

Ganodermic creatures
Method: Mage, fire abilities
Exp rate: 190K slayer exp/h (Using Chaotic staff)
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn necklace (prayer restore)
Location: Polypore Dungeon (BIP fairy ring), bottom floor. Far northwest corner on bottom floor.
Note: When using abilities use chain often. Try to find a high spawn world (1K+ players) and make sure you stand against something to block all the Ganodermics from crowding you, this way you minimize the damage from posion attacks. Do note that chaining often gives best exp rate/h but is also slightly more dangerous than focusing on a single Gano at a time. Runts give slayer exp also. Your main focus should be on using asphyxiate and wild magic and when these abilities are on cooldown use meta and rebuild adrenaline for wild magic and asphyxiate again.

Method: Mage, blood barrage momentum
Exp rate: 190K slayer exp/h (Use cannon to aggro them)
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn necklace (prayer restore)
Location: Polypore Dungeon (BIP fairy ring), bottom floor. Far northwest corner on bottom floor.
Note: Do bring plenty of healing options: food/unicorn as you will be taking a lot of damage. I do not recommend using this method.

Gargoyles
Remember your rock hammer! …whenever I forget one I buy another and keep the extras in my bank. They are my collection of shame.
Method: Mage, water abilities
Exp rate: 145K slayer exp/h (135K Chaotic staff)
Gear: Mage setup + Morytania Legs 4 (Morytania Diary reward, gives slay exp bonus)
Location: Slayer tower using contract
Note: When using abilities focus on chain + the threshold abilities asphyxiate and wild magic. When the threshold abilities are on cooldown use meta and begin rebuilding adrenaline for thresholds again.

Method: Mage, blood barrage momentum
Exp rate: 100K slayer exp/h
Gear: Mage setup
Location: Kuradals Cave
Note: After the aoe spell nerf it is no longer worth aoeing Gargoyles due to their weak defense. Using abilities will kill them faster than the aoe spells can, regardless if you manage to aoe 3-4 at a time.

Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 125K slayer exp/h (110K at kuradals cave)
Gear: Melee setup + morytania legs 4
Location: Slayer tower, including contract (Slay ring tele)
Note: This is an old rate that needs retesting and comparing to slayer tower.

If you dont have access to Morytania Legs 4, try timing yourself using your favourite method of killing Gargloyes at both location (Tower + contract/Kuradals). If you are 20%+ faster in Kuradals Cave this location is better for you. Personally Slayer Tower is better for me by far.

Greater demon I recommend skipping these

Griflaroo
Method: Mage, earth abilities
Exp rate: 120K slayer exp/h (Chaotic staff)

Location: Polypore Dungeon (BIP Fairy Ring)

Grotworms (mature)
Method: Mage, mage abilities
Exp rate: 115K slayer exp/h
Gear: Mage setup
Location: Grotworm Lair
Note: When using abilities focus on chain + the threshold abilities asphyxiate and wild magic.

Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 115K slayer exp/h (105K slay exp/h chaotic longs)
Gear: Melee setup
Location: Grotworm Lair (Home Tele Port Sarim and run west to Rimmington – same Lair as Queen Black Dragon)
Note: For melee you want to focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault, these 2 abilities will rip through monsters fast.

Ranging Grotworms is about 90K slay exp/h

Hellhounds
Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 95K slayer exp/h (110K exp/h using cannon inside resource dungeon. 85K exp/h using chaotic longs without cannon. Barraging gives same rate as melee abilities)
Gear: Melee setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restore prayer)
Location: Kuradals Cave (Fero ring, BJQ Fairy ring, or games necklace tp to Barbarian Outpost)
Note: When using abilities focus on building up adrenaline for flurry and berserk. Try to flurry 3or 4 Hellhounds at a time and use the berserk-mode abilities on full lifepoint Hellhounds which should 1 hit them.

Ice Strykewyrms
Method: Mage, fire abilities
Exp rate: 170K slayer exp/h (155K exp/h using Chaotic staff)
Gear: Mage setup
Location: Ice cave (DKS fairy ring)
Note: When doing Ice Strykewyrms world spawn rate has a huge effect on the exp rate. By finding a high spawn world (1k+ players) you can minimize the running by having spawns close to each other respawn fast. Minimizing the time running for wyrms leaves you with only the waiting time when stomping wyrms. When using abilities your main focus should be the thresholds; Asphyxiate and Wild magic. Due to the waiting time between attacking wyrms, you will not be able to use meta often as you will miss a cd on the thresholds.

Iron dragons
Method: Mage, water abilities
Exp rate: 110K slayer exp/h (Chaotic Staff)
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restores prayer)
Location: Kuradals Cave (Fero ring, BJQ Fairy ring, or games necklace tp to Barbarian Outpost)
Note: When using abilities focus on chain + the threshold abilities asphyxiate and wild magic. When the threshold abilities are on cooldown use meta and begin rebuilding adrenaline for thresholds again.

Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 110K slayer exp/h (100K slay exp/h chaotic longs)

When killing iron dragons its important you use a high spawn world as the spawns will often be what is limiting your slayer exp/h.

Mutated Jadinko Male
Method: Melee, melee abilities

Exp rate: 125K slayer exp/h (115K Chaotic staff)

Location: Jadinko Lair
Note: Focus on thresholds abilities (asphyxiate + wild magic) + meta.

Jungle Strykewyrms I recommend skipping these
Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 60K slayer exp/h
Gear: Melee setup
Location: North of MA (Dual ring/Ooglog ht)
Note: For melee you want to focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault, these 2 abilities will rip through monsters fast.

Since the rate was so low even after buff I did not bother testing with mage or range, neither ways will make the exp go up enough to make the task worth doing. I recommend skipping.

Kalphite (exiled)
Method: Mage, Blood barrage momentum
Exp rate: 110K slayer exp/h (120K w cannon)
Gear: Mage setup
Location: Exiled Kalphite Hive (Bandit home tele)
Note: Focus on gathering the kalphites gathering in a group. Personally I alternate between the 2 kalphite rooms by entrance to exiled kalphite queen. On a high spawn world you can usually gather 3-4 kalphites in a group while bursting another group.

Killing exiled kalphites using mage abilities/drygore at the same spot mentioned above gives 105K slay/

Living rock creatures I recommend skipping this task
Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 85K slayer exp/h
Gear: Melee setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restores prayer)
Location: Kuradals Cave (Fero ring, BJQ Fairy ring, or games necklace tp to Barbarian Outpost)
Note: Focus on building adrenaline for berserk and then use basic abilities to 1 hit/2 hit the lrcs. For thresholds focus on using assault.

Mithril dragons
Method: Mage, earth abilities
Exp rate: 125K slayer exp/h (115K Treachy wand + Grifolic Orb, 120K cstaff)
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn Necklace
Location: Ancient Cavern (Fero ring, BJQ Fairy ring, or games necklace tp to Barbarian Outpost)
Note: When using abilities focus on chain + the threshold abilities asphyxiate and wild magic. When the threshold abilities are on cooldown use meta and begin rebuilding adrenaline for thresholds again.

Method: Melee, abilities
Exp rate: 125K slayer exp/h
Gear: Melee setup
Location: Ancient cavern (Fero ring, BJQ Fairy ring, or games necklace tp to Barbarian Outpost)
Note: For abilities focus on building adrenaline fast, until you can use berserk. Make sure to use sever on berserk-mode as often as possible along with assault, these 2 abilities will rip through Miths fast. Try to alternate between the basic abilities until you can use berserk or assaults.

Mutated Bloodvelds
Method: Mage, blood barrage momentum (Use cannon for maximum effect)
Exp rate: 90K slayer exp/h (treachery wand + grifolic orb)
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restores prayer)
Location: Blood altar (Blood altar tabs, Wicked Hood, Canafis Shortcut)
Note: When barraging attack the demons in range(use a cannon to aggro them) and make gather around you. Use high spawn world (1k+) for faster respawns.

Meleeing velds gives about 90K slay exp/h but as I find these to be extremely dull and the run to the task annoying I skip them.

Method: Melee, abilities
Exp rate: 100K slayer exp/h
Gear: Melee setup + Demonhorn Necklace (restores prayer)
Location: Ancient cavern (Fero ring, BJQ Fairy ring, or games necklace tp to Barbarian Outpost)
Note: To maximize your exp/h aim to build up adrenaline by aggroing a few different Bloodvelds so you have them gathered around you already when you have enough adrenaline for flurry. Focus on flurrying each time its off cd making sure your adrenaline is sufficient. Only berserk when flurry is on cd. Use a familiar to aggro bloodvelds around you to minimize running, rather than using the familiar for its damage on a single demon.

Nechryael
Method: Mage, blood barrage momentum
Exp rate: 145K slayer exp/h
Gear: Mage setup + morytania legs 4 (Morytania Diary reward, gives slay exp bonus)
Location: Slayer tower 3rd floor (not the very top), using a slayer contract for bonus exp.
Note: When using momentum try to find a high spawn world (1K+ players) and attack the demons as they spawn. Standing by the wall seperating the nechryael room into 2 sides, from this location you can reach all but 1 demon without running.

Method: Melee, melee abilities
Exp rate: 150K slayer exp/h
Gear: Melee setup + morytania legs 4 (Morytania Diary reward, gives slay exp bonus)
Location: Slayer tower 3rd floor (not the very top), using a slayer contract for bonus exp.

Note: When using abilities your main focus should be on building adrenaline for rapid fire and the other threshold abilities. Try to find a high spawn world (1K+ players) to make your you have enough spawns around you, when Rorarius gather to help each other use Bombardment on the cluster.

Skeletal Wyvern
Do not forget elemental, mind or dragonfire shield to protect you from ice breaths
Method: Mage, fire abilities
Exp rate: 120K slayer exp/h (Treachery, 122K using virtus wand)
Gear: Mage setup + Demonhorn necklace (restores prayer)
Location: Asgarnia Ice Dungeon (Home Teleport to Port Sarim and run south to dungeon)
Note: Your main focus should be on using asphyxiate and wild magic and when these abilities are on cooldown use meta and rebuild adrenaline for wild magic and asphyxiate again. Try to find a high spawn world (1K+ players) to make your you have enough spawns around you. Use chain when you are comfortable being attacked by more than 1 wyvern at a time.

It is possible to kill them using a cstaff or dual cast without shield, but I do not recommend this method as its highly dangerous and not faster than using a shield. To make this work be in melee range of the wyvern and use impact stuns + asphyxiate stuns. Be careful.

I do not recommend doing this, even for fast points. HTing to lunar isle and running there is a waste of time.
