SMITE He Bo Guide by Lawlypop
He Bo, the monster
If you like utility, tons of damage, and the ability to turn games this is your god! First I’ll go through the skills and explain them to you.*
Each time He Bo uses a power, he gains the Steady Flow buff which increases his magical power by 10% for 5 seconds. The timer refreshes when another power is used. This effect can stack up to 3 times.
Ok I feel this is one of the best Passives in the game, with he bo you are able to basicly spam your abilities in fights gives you a constant 30% magical power buff which is honestly a free item.*
He Bo fires a short burst of water from his sleeves, damaging enemies in a cone for 100/160/220/280/340 (+100% of your magical power) magical damage. Cost – 40/50/60/70/80 mana. Cooldown – 3s.
The 3 second cool down along with the 100% scaling is crazy, this itself late game turns into a Spammable nuke. It is a very great skill only issue is the range, your basicly In melee to use it.
A river of water bursts forward from He Bo’s sleeves, causing enemies to move 35/40/45/50/55% slower and He Bo to move 35/40/45/50/55% faster while in the river. Cost – 60/65/70/75/80 mana. Cooldown – 10s. River lifetime – 7s.
Great utility spell, low cool down ability to slow to help team mates or escape. Offensively makes it very easy to combo nuke a player.
He Bo funnels water into the ground continuing to control it to burst out of the ground with tremendous force at the location he chooses, doing 80/130/180/230/280 (+100% of your magical power) magical damage to all enemies in the area, knocking them into the air and slowing them for 35% for 2 seconds. Cost – 70/80/90/100/110 mana. Cooldown – 10s.
I look at this spell as a great harass/cc spell. It’s range is amazing you can hit people without putting yourself in danger and it also scales at 100% giving it the ability to really hurt. It slows and it also knocks them up in the direction they are running so if you hit it right you can make easy plays on people.
He Bo transforms into a wave and crashes forward, damaging all enemies in his path for 400/480/560/640/720(+130% of your magical power). Cost – 100 mana. Cooldown – 90s.
This ult, THIS ULT is INSANE…so much damage on top of scaling 130% of your magical power along with the extra 30% you get from your passive is absolutely silly. With he bo you can easily 3 hit combo almost anyone with this ult. It can be used also as a get away or a gap closer so it not only is a nuke but also a utility spell!
Alright now that we got that out of the way we can work on skill order. This is all just personal preference and anyone can use a variation of it.
My skill order is
3, 1, 3, 2, 4, 1, 3, and so on maxing 3 first, then 1 and your ult, your 2 is just utility and can be leveled At your preference but level one is only needed for most situations.
I Take and max 3 first because,
1. It is a instant cast, no delay and very hard to miss.
2. It does very good damage and allows you to harass without being in range of any returning spells.
Starting: tier 1 boots of the magi, ABILITY meditation, and 3 hp pots.
I do this bec Early game items don’t drastically make any character any better then another so I take meditation because it allows me to harrash with my waterspout(3) all the time without worrying about mana, it also allows me to out sustain the opposing player.*
mid game: tier 3 boots of magi, tier 3 rod of Uhuti, and tier 3 obsidian shard.
This is crazy at this time you can kill anyone. You get a 25% buff to magical power plus your passive 30% ontop of all your spells scaling at 100% and your ult at 130% gives you so much burst on just your regular spells makes you a straight terror.
Late game: *tier 3 warlocks sash, and a chronos pendant
The 20% cooldown reduction is amazing it makes your Spammables more Spammable , warlocks sash give you more magical power on top of some survivability with health and extra mana, make sure to keep your stacks up on it though!
Playstyle: I personally like aggressive play, but with he bo early game it isn’t very effective until around level 3, once you get level 2 waterspout you can start harassing level 1 waterspout damage isn’t worth the mana and the opposing player usually has hp pots. So once you hit level 3 and get your level 2 waterspout, get to work ….a lot of people are push happy in this game and it’s to there disadvantage. Wait until there creep wave is depleted and then start to harass and get a 3 and the 1 on them and they will drop at least a quarter of there hp. You don’t want to harass with them having a full creep wave because you will take more damage from minions then given and not worth it. So by the the time you hit 5 your opponent should be sitting around half hp maybe a quarter and that’s when you go in, use your slow first, then 3, after your 3 ult in on them, if there not dead yet then use your 1 and 3 again to secure the kill!
Ganking: you need to gank your 2 is amazing and you can cover the map in no time. Your spells Are very good for ganks with the slows and knock up along with the damage it makes for easy kills!*
CAUTION!!! You are squishy lol don’t think your invincible because your not, with he bo you have to go in on a team to do your most damage so just insure that when you go in you have to position advantage and your not just being selfish.
