Mortal Online Self Sufficient with One Account Guide

Mortal Online Self Sufficient with One Account Guide by Diphling

Introduction:

A Deva is the soul behind a person’s account. It binds all of characters together, and gives them something in common. This guide is to maximize the utility of your Deva.

If you are on a budget, a single account is all you need to be successful in MO. Of course you won’t be able to explore ALL of the possibilities of the game, but you can enjoy a great portion of the content, including PVP. All in all, this account build is capable of having 10 (TEN) different professions: Fighter, tamer, thief, armorcrafter, butcher, chef, merchant, extractor, weaponcrafter, and shieldcrafter.

Your first goal is to develop your characters. I recommend first utilizing your combat character to gather carcasses, and utilizing your Armorcrafter/Butcher to chop the carcasses up to get money for your starting books.

To transfer items between characters, one must utilize the NPC’s named “Veredari”. These NPC’s act as mailboxes. Remember that each transaction costs 50 cuprum coins, and they do NOT send to other cities!

This account build is a MODEL. Please edit your own as you see fit.

Character I – The Fighter / Tamer / Thief

Role:
Your main character. You use him to gather carcasses, get horses, fight, PvP, and PvE. He will be supplying horses to your extractor, and the horses will be for hauling carcasses. Better mounts are obtainable if you invest more into Taming/Zoology. For the sake of this guide this character is a sword user.

Race:
Blainn (HP), Thursar/Khurite (DAMAGE + SPEED), Veela (SPEED), Khurite (HP + SPEED).

Stats:
Maximum STR/CON/DEX. Minimum INT/PSY. Generally for a fighter you want to have maximum height for damage bonus + extra HP. This character should be stout. A guide to getting stout is here.

Skills:
Swords(100), Athletics(100), Armor Training(100), Heavy Armor Training(100), Taming(50), Creature Control(50), Zoology/Mammalia(50) Aggressive Stance(50), Defensive Stance(100), Anatomy(100), Riding(100), Snooping(100), Pilfering(100), Combat Maneuvering(100)

Optional Skills:
Endurance, Archery, Mounted Archery, Mounted Combat, Survival, lockpicking

Notes:

  • If you choose to take archery you should minimize your height to maximize your strength.
  • You can always choose to roll a hybrid (A Fighter who can also use magic), the guide is here.
  • You can also choose a Psybrid, guide here, or a Psyfighter, guide here.

Character II – The Armorcrafter / Butcher / Chef / Merchant

Role:
This character is a direct support for your fighter. It gears the fighter up, processes the carcasses the fighter provides, and cooks all of the food. With this choice of skills, this character is ready to craft full Tindremic Plate Incisium armor, it can butcher all Mammals, and it can cook delicious ass food. It is also the character you should use for the trade broker.

Race:
I personally recommend a character with high strength and intelligence, such as the Blainn.

Stats:
Max STR/CON/INT. Minimum Height.

Skills:
Zoology/Mammalia(100), Armor Crafting(100), Soft Armor Crafting(100), Laminated Armor Crafting(100), Plate Armor Crafting(100), Butchery(100), Butchery Applainces(100), Animal Materials(100), Flesh Lore(100), Mammal Skin Lore(100), Textile Lore(100), Management(100)

Optional Skills:
Scales Lore + Reptilia, Lore Metallurgy, Advanced Cooking, Advanced Cooking Tools

Notes:

  • While this character doesn’t have much wiggle room, you can take out advanced cooking and throw in Scales or Metallurgy lore to expand your armor crafting capabilities. Steel can be supplied to your armor crafting via your extractor.
  • You can also choose to free up an extra 100 points by dropping Plate Armor Crafting, and use Kallardian Lamellar.
  • If you choose to use scale armor, which means you would be hunting reptiles, you would trade off Advanced cooking and Mammalia for Scales lore and Reptilia.
  • This build takes advantage of Cooking, and Cooking tools, which are both secondaries. With Flesh Lore and Cooking, you can make Ambrosial Pig. Use this character to make your health food, and your extractor to make your stamina food.

Character III: The Extractor / Weaponcrafter / Shieldcrafter / Chef

Role:
This character will be used to produce steel and steel weaponry. It’s pretty straight forward. For the sake of this guide this character crafts swords.

Race:
I personally recommend a character with high strength and intelligence, such as the Blainn.

Stats:
Max STR/CON/INT. Minimum height.

Skills:
Mining(100), Basic Ore Extraction(100), Intermediate Ore Extraction(100), Ore Extracting Applainces(100), Metallurgy(100), Petrology(100), Botany(100), Weaponcrafting(100), Basic Blade Crafting(100), Advanced Blade Crafting(100), Handle and Pole Crafting(100), Shieldcrafting(100)

Optional Skills:
Woodcutting

Notes:

  • IMPORTANT: Do NOT invest points in 1h Blade and Hilt crafting. Use 1h+2h Khurite Blade Hilt crafting, they are both secondaries!
  • This build has very little wiggle room. At best, you could make your fighter a spear-user and dump the advanced blade crafting for woodcutting.
  • You can gain the wood for your hilts by chopping trees without the skill. Each hilt takes a minimal amount of materials.
  • Big shout out to Stubben for this build, his guide can be found here.
  • With cooking being a secondary, and with botany, this character is great for cooking plant foods, such as rye. Use it to make your stamina food.
  • Shieldcrafting may be dumped for Advanced Metals, so that you can produce Lupium for Tungsteel. Note that without picking up Advanced Extraction as well, you will only be able to extract Lupium from Galbinum (Extracted from Tephra and Gabore).

Summary:

Even if you decide to sub a second account, this particular setup will allow you to have 10 professions all with the use of 1 account. I really urge people to be creative in their character designs, and plan things out!
