Marvel Avengers Alliance Suggested Heroes to Buy Guide by Jet X

Here’s a post showing you recommended heroes to buy throughout your campaign. Let’s begin.


1. Hulk (Bruiser 90 CP)

Chance to win the Gamma Booster and Gamma Gadget.

  • Gamma Booster: Targets one ally. Type: buff. Gamma Rage (3 turns) Not so smart now, hit puny enemy! Get angry!
  • Gamma Gadget: Targets all allies. Type: buff. Gamma Radiation – next attack critically hits, for extra damage.

2. Spider-Man (Infiltrator 90 CP)

Chance to win the Web Blaster. Spider-man unlocks an Epic Boss in chapter 3.5 and chapter 7.3. Chance to win the Doombringer and Galvanic Arm; chance to win the Goblin Glider. Spider-man is required to unlock the Golden Screaming Eagle – chapter 3 master reward.

  • Web Blaster: Targets one enemy. Type: gun ranged. Webbed (3 turns) reduces attack and defense. Stun (1 turn) loses next turn, reduced chance to dodge.
  • Galvanic Arm: Puts Negative Static Charge on the Opponent, causing damage every turn.
  • Doombringer: Gives Full of Doom to your Agent, increasing all stats. While adding a debuff to your enemy, decreasing all their stats.
  • Golden Screaming Eagle: Targets one enemy. Type: gun ranged. High crits, increased chance of critical hits. Excelsior weapon, grows in power based on agents level.
  • Goblin Glider: Targets one enemy. Type: ranged slashing. Stealthy, does not trigger counter-attacks or protect abilities. Exploits flying, deals extra damage against flying targets. Deadly crits, deals extra damage on critical hits.

3. Wolverine (Scrapper 90 CP)

Chance to win the Snikt and Sabretooth’s Claws. Wolverine unlocks an Epic Boss in chapter 5.3. Chance to win the Norn Stone. Wolverine is required to unlock the Golden Katana – chapter 4 master reward.

  • Snikt: Targets one enemy. Type: melee slashing. Follow-up attack, has a chance to perform a second attack when attacking. Bleeding x2 (4 turns) taking damage every turn. This effect can be applied 5 times.
  • Sabretooth’s Claws: Targets one enemy. Type: melee slashing. Counter-attack, has a chance to perform a counter attack when attacked. Bleeding x2 (4 turns) taking damage every turn. This effect can be applied 5 times.
  • Golden Katana: Targets one enemy. Type: slashing melee. High crits, increased chance of critical hits. Excelsior weapon, grows in power based on agents level. Bleeding (4 turns) taking damage every turn. This effect can be applied 5 times.

4. War Machine (Tactician 48 CP)

Chance to win the Super Blade Punch and Power of Four. War Machine is required to unlock the Golden El Diablo – chapter 5 master reward.

  • Super Blade Punch: Targets one enemy. Type: melee energy. Ignore defense, ignores enemy defenses. High crits, increased chance of critical hits.
  • Power of Four: Targets self. Type: buff. Power of Four (4 turns) taking four extra turns at a deadly cost.
  • Golden El Diablo: Targets one enemy. Type: gun ranged. Exploits exposure, deals extra damage against exposed targets. Excelsior weapon, grows in power based on agents level.

5. Phoenix (Blaster 48 CP)

Chance to win the Psychic Punch and Momentum Generator. Phoenix is required to unlock the Golden A.R Spectre chapter 6 master reward.

  • Psychic Punch: Targets one enemy. Type: melee ranged. Migraine (1 turn) reduces damage done on next attack.
  • Momentum Generator: Targets one ally. Type: buff. Unstoppable (3 turns) increases the damage of unarmed attacks.
  • Golden A.R. Spectre: Targets one enemy. Type: gun ranged. Excelsior weapon, grows in power based on agents level. Slowed (4 turns) evasion reduced by 25%. Lock-on (3 turns) taking additional damage from ranged attacks.

6. Human Torch (Blaster 33 CP)

Chance to win the Handheld Hohlraum and need info. Human Torch is required to unlock the Golden T.Q. 5000 – chapter 7 master reward.

  • Handheld Hohlraum: Targets all. Type: fire energy. Exploits burning, deals extra damage against burning targets.
  • Cosmic Ray Bomb: Targets all enemies. Type: Energy. Radiation exposure, deals damage every turn. Increases damage taken from energy attacks.
  • Golden T.Q. 5000: Targets one enemy. Type: gun ranged. Guaranteed hit, 100% chance to hit. High crits, increased chance of critical hits. Ignores defense, ignores enemy’s defense stat for calculating damage. Attack penetrates shield statuses. Excelsior weapon, grows in power based on agent level.

7. Black Cat (Infiltrator 23 CP)

Chance to unlock an epic boss:

  • Elektra (Chapter 2-3, deploy Black Cat)
  • Epic Drop: Grecian Sai – counter and bleed effect

8. Storm (Blaster 48 CP)

Chance to unlock an Epic Boss:

  • Magneto (Chapter 4-4, deploy Storm)
  • Epic Drop: Magnetic Field Generator – creates shields and when the shields are removed the ally gains an extra turn

9. Luke Cage (Scrapper 23 CP)

Chance to unlock an Epic Boss:

  • Doctor Octopus (Chapter 6-3, deploy Luke Cage)
  • Epic Drop: Electrostatic Arm – Targets self. Type: buff. Positive static charge (3 turns) attacks will also shock enemies. Enemies with negative static charge take extra damage.

    It is too outdated ,why don’t the blasters be cable, scarlet witch ,and storm?why don’t the tacticians be black panther,black night and captain America?why don’t the infiltrators be spider man, gambit and psylocke?the scrapers be wolverine ,union jack and shatterstar,the bruisers be hulk,Thor and Hercules?
