At the moment there are five ways to get gold:

a) The daily login bonus:
15 gold per day

b) Earn XP and you get gold at level-up’s:
Level 01 = You start the game with 100 gold.
Level 02-09 = 80 gold per level
Level 10 = 300 gold (3×100)
Level 11-19 = 100 gold per level
Level 20 = 180 gold (3×60)
Level 21-29 = 60 gold per level
Level 30 = 210 gold (3×70)
Level 31-39 = 70 gold per level
Level 40 = 240 gold (3×80)
Level 41-49 = 80 gold per level
Level 50 = 270 gold (3×90)
Level 51-59 = 90 gold per level
Level 60 = 300 gold (3×100)
Level 61-69 = 100 gold per level
Level 70 = 330 gold (3×110)
Level 71-79 = 110 gold per level
Level 80 = 360 gold (3×120)
Level 81-89 = 120 gold per level
Level 90 = 390 gold (3×130)
Level 91-99 = 130 gold per level
Level 100 = 420 gold (3×140)
Level 101-109 = 140 gold per level
Level 110 = 450 gold (3×150)
Level 111-119 = 150 gold per level
Level 120 = 450 gold (3×150)

And so on…
150 gold is the maximum. Tripled every 10th step.

And you earn XP by:
1.) Playing & completing successful other players levels the first time:
– 40 XP if you place a SCORE on the leaderboard. (Score-Value or zero.)
– Playing alone gives no XP.
– A level ending with “Game Over” gives no XP.
– If the playtime of a Level is to short you receive also no XP.

2.) Publish own levels and other players play them:
XP depending on the numbers of individual players, that have played your level.
2 players playing: 20 XP
5 players playing: 40 XP
10 players playing: 60 XP
25 players playing: 80 XP
50 players playing: 100 XP
75 players playing: 125 XP
100 players playing: 150 XP
250 players playing: 175 XP
500 players playing: 200 XP
750 players playing: 225 XP
1000 players playing: 250 XP
2500 players playing: 300 XP
5000 players playing: 400 XP
7500 players playing: ??? XP

More steps unknown till now. (10.000 next maybe?)

3.) Spending gold for building/your avatar:
You get XP 1:1 for every gold you spend in the building-editor/avatar-shop.
Example:
Buy a crate for 10 gold = 10 XP
Buy a pirate for 110 gold = 110 XP
Buy a hat for 20 gold = 20 XP

NOTE:
Spending 1 gold to continue a level gives NOT XP!

4.) Completing the Tutorial-Missions
“Create”-Menu – “Tutorials”

5.) Completing “Quests”
You get Gold and XP for completing a series if levels. (A “Quest”.)

d) Buy gold for money.
150 Gold = 1,99 € – 2,50 $
450 Gold = 5,00 € – 6,50 $
1000 Gold = 10,00 € – 12,50 $
6000 Gold = 40,00 € – 50,00 $
20000 Gold = 99,00 € – 125,00 $

“Awesome Starter Pack”: 5,00 € – 6,50 $
1500 gold
1 unique quest
1 unique blueprint
Limitied Edition Minigun
10 Save-Slots
(Can only be bought ONCE.)

(Old special offer till November 2012: 10000 Gold = 40,00 € – 50,00 $)

e) Playing & completing “Quests”
You get Gold and XP for completing a series if levels. (A “Quest”.)
– “First Steps”: 20 Gold + 45 XP
– “Mr. Fisks Contraband”: 30 Gold + 50 XP
– “Restoring the Balance”: 20 Gold + 60 XP (Quest from “Awesome Starter Pack”)

At some quests you can receive exclusive items as reward:
– “All Hallows’ Eve”: “Skeleton King” (Halloween-Quest)
– “The Christmas-less Island”: “Yellow Snowboard” (Christmas-Quest)
