Age of Wushu Wudang Twin Sword Skill Set Guide

Age of Wushu Wudang Twin Sword Skill Set Guide by sync08

This is a disambiguation on the twin sword skill set of Wudang. This skill set is confusing and complicated due to the conversion from Yin to Yang and vice versa.

Skill 1: Crisscross

CD: 5 seconds
This is the main skill in this skill set which convert Yin to Yang and vice versa. This skill’s effect differs depending on the whether the user is in “Yin” state ( ) or “Yang” state ( ). The “Yang” state will be activated on the first time this skill is cast. The state icon is shown as a buff.

When in “Yang” state:
One level of Yang chi will be gained on each cast of a skill (maximum 5 levels). Every level of Yang chi grants an addition 6 points of damage to each hit dealt.
Casting this skill again will convert Yang state to Yin state, the conversion of Yang to Yin will consumes the accumulated chi to recover the user’s MP and deal damage to one opponent. The amount of recovery and the damage dealt is correlated with the skill level.

When in “Yin state:
One level of Yin chi will be gained on each cast of a skill (maximum 5 levels). Every level of Yin chi grants 4 points of damage reduction for each hit taken.
Casting this skill again will convert Yin state to Yang state, the conversion of Yin to Yang will consumes the accumulated chi to recover the user’s HP and stun one opponent. The amount of recovery and the stun duration is correlated with the skill level.

Skill 2: Solar Lunar Slash

CD: 2 seconds
This is the main damaging skill in this skill set. It deals a 3 hit combo towards the frontal area.

Being non-targeting, it can hit multiple enemies. The damage is low but when used at 5 levels of Yang chi, the damage output is increased by 90 (3 hit x 30 dmg). It has  a short CD of 1.5 s making it a high DPS skill.

Skill 3: Void Break

CD: 6 seconds
This is a targeting skill which allows the user to dash towards the target.

Not exceptionally fast and nothing special.

Skill 4: Extreme Regression

CD: 2 seconds
Feint of this skill set. Upon successful guard breaking, movement speed of the target will be reduced.

Skill 5: Tai Ji Sword Guard

CD: 1 seconds
Guard skill. Upon successful guarding of an attack, the attacker’s arm strength is reduced by x points (lvl 1: 20 points; lvl 5 60 points) for 10 s.

When in Yang state, one level of Yang chi is gained for each successful guard against an attack.
When in Yin state, one level of Yin chi is gained for each successful guard against an attack.

This guard at lvl 5, renders most normal mobs attack to 1 after successful guarding of their attacks. Coupled with 5 levels of Yin chi, no damage will be received should the damage taken is less than 20 points. So, one can safely cast the rage skill of Tai Chi skill set without taking any damage. This is one of the skills which enable a Wudang to function as a tanker.

Skill 6:Twin Barrage

CD: 10 seconds
Rage skill which consumes 50 rage points. The damage is low for a rage skill and it has no superarmor during casting.

The good points are that it is a targeting skill (without the ability to auto-dash) and deals a 9 hit combo which translate to an addition 270 damage when used with 5 levels of Yang chi. This skill will be canceled if the first three hit misses.

Skill 7: Yin Yang Stab

CD: 8 seconds
This is the only ranged skill, with 20 meter range, in this skill set. Attacking an airborne target while being airborne will knock down the target.
When in Yang state, attacking an airborne target while being airborne, 1.5 times damage will be dealt.
When in Yin state, attacking an airborne target while being airborne, additional rage will be gained.
