==========

I/ Introduction

First you have to understand fighter hasn’t the best defence/HP in game (warrior has) and isn’t the best melee damage dealer (sin is), it’s an hybrid of both, he’s a jack of all trades and master of none BUT his potential is incredible and fun to play

In this guide i mainly focus on tank fighter, i gives some advices for damage dealer (DD) fighter though.

II/ Notices

-WHY NO HYBRID BUILD?!
Well, fighter is hybrid on itself, building an hybrid from an hybrid is stupid to me, but feel free to test it out, experience is science.

-Why no magic fighter?!
Magic fighter (aka wearing a weapon with elemental attack) rely on WIS, but fighter’s main stat is STR (for parry and damage modifier), sets and weapons are STR friendly, Skills are physical, thus no point building a WIS fighter unless you wanna test it out yourself.

-Along with this guide you’ll stumble upon the difference between VALUE and RATE
Let’s take the example of critical hit RATE and critical hit VALUE :
Gear A says “increase critical hit rate by 5%”
Gear B says “increase critical hit value by 5%”
Your critical hit value is 100, your critical hit rate is 8.20%
Gear A will change critical hit rate from 8.2% to 8.2+5 = 13.2%
Gear B will change critical hit value from 100 to 105 thus critical hit rate from 8.2% to 8.5% (not very accurate depending on lvls)
Conclusion :
Gears/skills giving %critical hit rate > Gears/skills giving %critical hit value

-for newbies read this thread
Glory Destiny Frequently Asked Questions

-After you stun a target
once the stun duration is over, the target is granted stun immunity status for a few seconds.

II/ Stats

Refers to this thread to understand how stats work out.
Glory Destiny Online Stats and Formula Guide

For the rest the main stat is STR, depending how you build your character AGI, SPR and LCK come second.

Tank
STR>AGI-SPR>LCK>WIS

DD
STR>AGI-LCK>SPR>WIS

Note that you can’t evade or block magic attacks, blocking a normal attack result as degrading a little the durability of the equipment.

IV/ Skills Builds

If you already got bored reading up till there please go read this thread, it’s useful and straight forward on how to build a fighter (or other characters):

——————1/Opinions on skills

-Jab (available at lv1, Active skill)
A tanker skill, the physical dmg reduction is nice as it lv up, on second job it will comes with a % of block rate during a limited time. (See section on overview of second job skills)
it’s useful on PVE for dungeon, useless on PVP.
Since second job isn’t out, firstly you have to hit to have the buff, secondly later in the game the fearsome bosses’ attacks are magical (excluding lv44 dungeon last boss which physical attacks hurts a lot), there are better skills to spend points over. BUT remember it might change once second job is out (refers to the 2nd job section).
Either it’s your main damage skill or it’s left at lv1.

-Charge (available at lv1, Active skill)
A stun and damage skill on short cd, who would miss this out?!
PVE or PVP wise, a must have.
The higher lvl charge is the longer the stun is, at least 1 point in this skill is a good investment. Maxing it is a must for PVP and good if you solo dungeons since the stun duration offer you the opportunity of casting all your skills and run away unharmed.

-Strenght training (available at lv1, Passive skill)
A nice maxed passive but useful only beyond lv40 where you have 200+ STR.
It’s good but since we have so few skill points, i wouldn’t waste 5 points on it, Unless i go full paper DD and still you barely get any good result before lv50.

-Dexterity (available at lv1, Passive skill)
Same as previous passive but on AGI.
Not that good.

-Doggedness (available at lv1, Passive skill)
Must have, not really for the defence but the HP passive is just too good to be left untouched, even for a DD the more HP you have the longer you stay alive. I’d recommend to max it with its upgrades.

-Frenzy (available at lv1, Passive skill)
Unless you build an evasive tanker it’d say leave it at 0, the atk from passive is really too small to invest so many points on it and its upgrades even for a pure DD.

-Whirlwind fist (available at lv8, Active skill)
Get 1 point at least, good for PVE, useless on PVP. range increase after a few lvls. lv7 minimun if considering second job tanker (refers to the 2nd job section).
Note that this skill doesn’t need to be put on right click to cast.

-Warcry (available at lv5, Active skill)
Decrease defence for 10s at lv1, useful for air combo (see it in right section), maxing it might be useful for pure tanker, i prefer whirlwind though.
Note that this skill doesn’t need to be put on right click to cast.

-War spirit transformation (available at lv10 through a quest, Active skill)
MAX it, mandatory, who doesn’t should just desinstall the game.

-Fury wave (available at lv12, require 1 point in Charge, Active skill)
Useless since we have Charge to get close to a target.
Must reconsiderate when 2nd job is out. (refers to the 2nd job section)

-Challenge (available at lv10, Active skill)
AOE taunt, it resets aggro whatever the damage the main DD does or the heals from healer (healing aggro monsters), activating this skill gives you aggro, 1 point for that since in dungeon you need to keep aggro on boss and mobs considering you’re the main tanker. PVE only, necessary for tanker.
Note that this skill doesn’t need to be put on right click to cast.

-Mental clarity (available at lv10, Passive skill)
Luck % bonus… for DD only and still not sure that worth something with our limited amount of skill points.

-Concussive strike (available at lv16, Active skill)
Even 1 point invested is nice 30% to triple dmg is wow, i like this skill alot even for a tanker it makes grinding and soloing boss a piece of cake, you can avoid it though, matter of preference.
PVP-PVE it’s a must imho.

-Attack Aura (available at lv15, Passive skill)
Increase physical and magical critical hit Value.
Useless for tanker so 0 point, must for DD so max.

-Acceleration (available at lv15, Passive skill)
Increase attack speed VALUE by a %.
Not very useful, you’re not a sin, there are better skills to invest in than this one.

-Innate Awareness (available at lv15, Passive skill)
3 point invested to get 15% resistance in all kind, it’s a must to me, resistance is useful for PVE and PVP to reduce magic damage, i’d max it.

-Iron soul (available at lv15, Active skill Party Buff)
10% more hp at lv1, i’d recommend 1 point at least, it benefits all your teamates as well.
You can max it, matter of preference.

-Mistwalk (available at lv15, Passive skill)
Only nice for DD that has high dodge rate, i’d max it only if i were a… sin… matter of preference for DD fighter with AGI-dodge build.

-Battering punch (available at lv20, require 1 point in Concussive strike, Active skill)
AOE in a cone with no other effect… whirlwind is better, it’s an useless skill.
To reconsiderate for 2nd job. (refers to the 2nd job section).

-Concentrate (available at lv20, Active skill Party Buff)
Increase your and your teamates’ physical and magical critical hit RATE, 1 point for tanker, max for DD.

-Skill master (available at lv20, Passive skill)
Unless you build a magic fighter, leave it to 0.

-Exercise (available at lv20, Passive skill)
Increase SPR, decrease the critical hit you suffer.
tanker passive, 0 or max, matter of preference.

-Feather steps (available at lv20, Passive skill)
Exercise movement speed. I like it but it’s a matter of preference.
To max if you like kitting boss like a pro or simply run fast.

-Persistence (available at lv21, require 5 point in Doggedness, Passive skill)
Max it if you maxed Doggedness.

-Wrath (available at lv21, require 5 point in Frenzy, Passive skill)
Max it if you maxed Frenzy.

-Block strategy (available at lv30, Passive skill)
Increase your block VALUE, max it IF you’re a tank using sword +5 and have a STR fighter tanker built around block over dodge and defence. Matter of preference.

-Sword mastery (available at lv30, Passive skill)
If you’re a sword DD, consider maxing it, matter of preference.

-Way of the fists (available at lv30, Passive skill)
If you’re a glove DD, consider maxing it, matter of preference.

-Resolution (available at lv41, require 5 point in Persistence, Passive skill)
Max it if you maxed Doggedness and Persistence.

-Fury (available at lv41, require 5 point in Wrath, Passive skill)
Max it if you maxed Frenzy and Wrath.

Rest of points to your preference.

V/ Equipments

——————1/ Armors

Since lv cap is 45, your main equip hunt starts off in holy kirin lake dungeon where lv40 orange sets drop.

-Tanker
at lv30++, prioritize STR-AGI-SPR/LCK equip, either blue or orange set.
Look for option like resist (it’s not resistance, it’s parry actually), Psv Healing, Eva

Charging set lv40 (drop in lv38 assembly grounds and lv41 spirit pagoda dungeon)
Dual shield set lv45 (arena blueprint, NPC arena trader next to AH NPC in frost forest)

-DD
at lv30++, prioritize STR-AGI-LCK equip, either blue or orange set.
Look for option like hit rate, physical Crit hit and damage rate and %

Bloodthirsty set lv40 (drop in lv38 assembly grounds and lv41 spirit pagoda dungeon)
Homdop set lv45 (arena blueprint, NPC arena trader next to AH NPC in frost forest)

Besides you can wear fashion parts, green and blue fashion parts give nice bonuses, white ones gives no bonus BUT looks is priceless

——————2/ Artifact and jewelry

Artifact can be traded after created so look for artifacts from other classes too.
For tanker i’d go for a cheap Ruin guardian defence, for DD the broken command sword is nice, those are quite easy to buy or craft from friends, but lv40-45 ones are of course better, you need to either hunt the manual or find a nice person crafting them for you (Like Headwolf tooth or Ancient call).

Jewelry is the only way (aside belt, socketing and sigils) to get resistances, i’d suggest you to find some jewelry with the resistance you need, for pve or pvp.

Another easy and nice jewelry comes from battlegrounds daily quest (available at N°”X” Drill Sergeant in city), be sure to do them for exp and for those coins, you can buy recipes using those from armor merc of each city.

Tanker could use for example lv30 giant lion ring, lv35 evilbeast ring, lv25 rainbow necklace or lv40 Guardian necklace etc…
It’s a matter of preference and funds, be sure to check all armor mercs to find the jewelry you like the most.

Recommended all around jewelry-Artefact (excluding super duper jewelry you can get from mobs or dungeons drop)

Tanker

Necklace : Guardian necklace lv40
Ring1 : Ocean Etch ring lv40
Ring2 : Evilbeast ring lv35
Artefact : Headwolf Tooth (lv45 fighter), Ancient Call (lv45 fighter), Ruin Guardian Defence (lv30 fighter)

DD

Necklace : Source of battle lv40/ Evil Axe necklace lv35
Ring1 : Silver Leon’s ring lv40
Ring2 : Evilbeast ring lv35
Artefact : Headwolf Tooth (lv45 fighter), Red Jade Tattoo (lv40 archer)

Another way to find good jewelry is to rise your reputation and check the prestige shop (at arms officers).

To clarify “how to increase reputation” used in the prestige shops, there are 3 kind of prestige shops :

-First is related to “Kingdom” reputation,  you can increase by exchanging specific kingdom icons (those you get from chest from invading patrols) it also gives bonus exp for a short time.
-Second is related to your ability to kill invading patrols, the more you kill, the more you increase “Glorius Shield” reputation.
-The last one is related “fist of the great bear” reputation, some monsters drop quest items, once opened these give you an easy quest to do and also some EXP and money. Once you complete those quests you increase the reputation for this shop.

Note :
To get chest from patrols you only need to hit the patrol leader once, whether it’s first hit or not, and have the leader killed. Chests give gems, manuals, icons, potions of a lvl corresponding to the map of the invading patrols.
To check your reputation, click C then clik on reputation window.

——————3/ Sigils

Sigils are divided in 6 groups, weapon, head, hands, armor, belt and feet.

each has 1 main effect + 2 randoms effects for orange sigils, 4 randoms for blues, +6 randoms for purples.

I won’t discuss over the main effect of each sigil, that is up to you through the large scale of choice you have, it is important to take into account randoms that comes with.
Still needs more info to find the sigils you want?
check this :
http://forum.koramgame.com.my/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid;=610&extra;=page%3D1

For tanker look for randoms such as %HP, %passive healing, % STR, %parry, %dodge, %AGI, %spirit, %aggression, %defence, %X resistance (no particular order, choice is always and must be yours).

For DD look for randoms such as %attack, %attack speed, %STR, %AGI, %LCK, %physical crit rate, %physical crit dmg, % combo rate, %HP (no particular order, choice is always and must be yours).

Sigils recommendation (tanker)

-“Attacking Place” sigil (head) : +5% attack when wearing sword
“Violent beast” sigil (head) : +5% attack when wearing gloves
-“Life” sigil (body) : 4% max hp
“Shield” sigil (body) : +25% ability to rebound physical damage
-“Whirl” sigil (hands) : +7% more damage from whirlwind fist
“block” sigil (hands) : +4% parry
-“Super Square” sigil (waist) : +20% STR tranformed to parry
“Super Speed” sigil (waist) : +20% STR transformed to dodge
“Recovery” sigil (waist) : +6% passive healing
-” Polar Speed” sigil (feet) : +4% mov speed
” Protection” sigil (feet) : +4% defence
“Flash Speed” sigil (feet) : +3% dodge rate
-for weapon choose a sigil giving +5% more damage to you main damage skill, whether it’s Jab, Charge or concussive strike.
(i didn’t put % aggression sigils since we have a nice aoe taunt, but you can put some if you really feel to increase youir aggro property)

Of course you can get a sigil with a main effect that isn’t from your class but have nice other secondary effects, a sigil with secondary effects like 3% max HP, 3% passive healing works too.

——————4/ Weapon choice

The brainstroming debate, which one is better gloves or swords?
Only thing being sure, for a pure DD, glove is a better choice imho.
For tanking it’s all preference, some swords are more offensive, some less, same goes for gloves.

I list the details for each for you to decide :

Glove

-better inate attack speed
-better base damage
-more agi and luck
-+5 gives STR, +8 gives crit rate, +10 gives HP and % of activating combo effect

Sword

-spirit instead of luck
-gives resist (parry for block rate)
-+5 gives 5% parry/block VALUE, +8 gives 20% chance when attacked to rebound 10% dmg you suffer, +10 gives defence and HP
-you wear a small shield like a real tanker! (which doesn’t gives anything else apart his presence on you character sigh )

For the rest crafting orange weapons are the way to go unless you get a nice blue or purple weapon of your choice (with sockets to add some gems), be sure to be “lucky” and use some Lucky Dew to increase success chances. Every 5 lvls +1, you get automatically at least 1 free recipe for weapon crafting (an event notice will appears on the side of your screen).

Socketing for weapon use gems giving STR, socketing for armor depends of the kind of resistance you want to increase. As a reminder gems can be obtained through chests (given when you hit the patrol squad lieader appearing each hour on each map, noticiable as a lil “batman” mask on the map) or gems bag from dungeon boss drop.

Challenging Ice Flame dragon quest (at Forst Forest Drill Sergeant) gives you a chance to get orange (and purple? Yet to be confirmed) manuals for crafting weapons lv50. Chest from invading patrols and boss can give you weapon manuals as well.

——————5/ Pets

You have to get 2 pets, 1 for merging, 1 for assisting you in combat.
These threads will give you a large scale of different pets with merging and fighting skills
Glory Destiny Online Pets List
Glory Destiny Online Useful Merge Pet and Full Boss List

Personally if you lack of funds i suggest you to get pets from dungeons.
For tanker an assisting damage pet like Lawanaer, Shaluo, Dilasi is fine (with some pet gears of course), a merging pet like Kabazi, Wuwana or Kufeng is good. For DD tanky pets with stun like Bentu are a good choice.
For Merging pet go for either 5% hp, 5% def, 5% parry or at a lower rate 5% STR if you are a tank.
For Merging pet go for 5% ATK, 10% crit damage, 5% STR, 5% crit rate, 5% HP if you are a DD (example of good dungeon pet for DD : Labakuk-guard dog or Baite or Shaulo)

Note that for assisting pets, those with mov speed reduction or stun as offensive spells are useful for PvP arena.

VI/ Tips

——————1/ Air combo

This is the way to solo field boss (it doesn’t work on dungeon boss, i dunno on world boss ) and dungeon mass mobs, it’s pretty simple, it allows you to launch mobs into the air and hit them without them being able to attack you by any means (doesn’t work on dungeon boss and world boss) :

Step 1- transform, mobs near you will be thown into the air
Step 2- activate damaging or debuffing skills, mobs will go futher into the air
Step 3- revert transform when skills on cd
Step 4- skils on cd, upon normal attacks mobs will go down upon the ground
Step 5- back to step 1 when the mobs hit the ground, rinse and repeat

——————2/ Titles

Upon completing quests and killing boss or completing Achievement you are awarded titles, these can be set upon your character by pression “C” then choose “title” window. There are numerous titles that give a little boost to your stats, remember to use one of them, not big change but anything is good to use.
Tanker will prefer titles giving Passive healing and Parry, DD will go straight for critical hit rate titles.

——————3/ Couples

When you get a couple (right click on a character from opposite sex and choose “Declare your Love”), you get nice buff such as Decreasing damage you suffer, increasing WIS and STR for a definte %, increasing EXP by a definite % upon monster kill, a teleport skill.
You gain more buffs and buffs lvls upon the duration of the relationship. Click “O” then choose relationship window to check more about it.
Note : If you are going for a random couple, whatever the reason you get a couple is (love, friendship, grinding, etc…), be sure to stay gentle, the real gender of your couple shouldn’t be a problem nor a curiosity.

Find someone of your timezone and playtime, from the start be clear about your intentions (you can’t imagine the number of annoying stalkers you would meet, that is from personal experience ) and ask for the opposite side intentions, when set enjoy the game together.
An accurate couple for fighter class is a healer class whether it’s ice sorcerer or wind shaman.

——————4/ Leveling guide

-join a clan, do the clan quest corresponding to your lv and the map you’re in.
-do story quest and other normal quest, you check available quests by clicking L.
-When daily quests appear (blue exclamation mark), do them everyday if you feel like it.
-around lv35-37 you might stuck with no quest, spam clan quest, find a party of 5 people, each one take a spot for the particular mob to kill and just go on.
-spam clan quests whenever you can.
-do battlegrounds daily quests of each lvl you’re able to.
-when you find Dumplings misson (starting to drop in Barrenlands mobs), do them if you can, they are very good exp. Remember that some ask you to kill world boss, unless you are in a strong clan, don’t do them, 5% exp death doesn’t worth the exp gained.
-if you have good partners for duo-trio dungeons, simply aggro mobs en masse, kill them through air combo, do that on the whole map and avoid killing bosses, go out when all mobs dead, reset instance, rinse and repeat (good way to farm drops for yourself or for selling mats).
-Exchanging 10 specific kingdom icons at prestige Arm Officer gives bonus EXP for a short time (30min), this buff applies only upon monster’s kill EXP.
-Having a Couple gives a EXP buff when you and your couple are on the same map.
-Enter the instance lv40 “Crisis of Jade Forest” at militia Minuteman in Jade Forest.
Many mobs, a very good group instance where you can get (untradable, except capsule coins) mall items, BUT be careful if you don’t have sorcerer in group, after dying inside, reviving will get you out of instance without any mean to get back in.
(You can solo this instance at lv45 with decent gears and pet)

——————5/ Tanking as a fighter

If you solo, make sure you aggro mobs and use air combo (not too much mobs though).
For boss use hit and run technique, transform, charge, spam damaging skills, run away, wait for stun immunity to wear off, rinse and repeat. (you can recharge your sp by spamming a buff skill, but it’s very long)

If you party, aggro all the mobs then air combo, hoping you have a competent healer.
For boss, always spam taunt when available, when the boss casts linear, cone or cross spells simply move aside to avoid it (this might take time to train and get the right timing), use charge + taunt when you get too far or when you lose aggro.

Most dungeon are “easy” if you understand how the boss skills work and their patterns, being higher lvl than the boss is also a way to easily farm dungeons.

——————6/ PVP Arena as a fighter

PvP arena 5vs5 is open at 2pm-4pm, 7pm-9pm and 11pm-1am (GMT+8). You must apply for a queue by clicking “ok” after you opened the window by clicking on the lil sword icon (located around minimap) aboce capsule machine icon.

Each winning fight will award you 4 arena points used to purchase arena blueprints.
Each match is based on a 3 rounds win, meaning that at most you’ll play 5 rounds.

Since team composition is random make sure you have at least 1 healer in your team, if you have none, you have high chances to lose the match unless it’s the same in the enemy team.

There are “smart” rules for arena which decide easily the turn of the battle :
-the higher and rarer the gears are and the higher are their upgrade is the better to win, in short +8-10 gears can make the stupidiest player a god in pvp (works for pve too ).
-the team with the most competent healer(s) generally win.
-the team with the more AFK players generally lose.

Role of a fighter tanker in arena is to aim the most fearsome enemy or the healer, you must iniate or defend, your purpose is to get focused and disturb the enemy strategy.
Role of a fighter DD in arena is to aim the most fearsome enemy or the healer, while the tank and healer defend you, you must shoot down your target as fast as possible.
These advices are only advices, generally it’s kind of hectic since the rounds are very short, be sure to communicate with your teammates, in arena, winning depends more on your team mates than you alone (unless you’re that god mode +10 fighter ).

As i said experience is science, the more you do arena the more you get the hang of it, the best advice is to learn by yourself since you’ll memorize better what to do in what situation.
