Heat Online Chip Tuning Guide

Heat Online Chip Tuning Guide by LightningMcQueen

At first I have to tell you the chip tuning and ( balance ) feature has been made for experienced users. Basicly it’s let you modify the helper settings of your car. If you are not a simulation handling fun pls don’t use this feature. In some cases modifications of there helpers can make driving more difficult. Use it if you want to feel real driving experience only.

If you want real sim handling for your car just set all slider to minimum. You have to know the ardace helpers gives advatages and disadvantages at the same time. It depends from the point of view.

I know the old presets could be useful with this feature. I’ll try to do my best to get that feature back.

ASA

Tooltip:
“This system controls the speed of steering to maintain stability. The chipped version of the ASA- advanced steering assist system enables you to alter steering speed to some extent.”

Explanation:
With this helper you can adjust your steering speed to be faster or slower. This doesn’t affects steering speed if you use supported steering wheel.

Tip:
I don’t modify ASA because I use analog controller but in some cases it could be useful. The faster steering speed is useful when you are drifting or you are racing on narrow race tracks with many corners. The slower steering speed makes your cornering more stabile but if you make a mistake you have less chance to save your car with changing its direction.

ECHS

Tooltip:
“The ECHS system assists curving stability. On the other hand this increases the degree of over-steering and and balances under-steering. On the other hand it prevents the car from skidding or swinging along its axes.”

Explanation:
This chip modify the turning abilities of your car. It makes the car more oversteered when you are cornering and it makes your car going straight ahead is you don’t steering. It could make your car easer to turn but harder to keep car drifting at the same time and reduce chance to start to spin. You have to find the right setting. If you set it at the minimum the turning abilities of your car will come from physics settings only.

Tip:
ECHS. I know some car are understeered some of them are not. This helper can solve this problem but it forces your car going straight ahead at the same time. I like  controlling sliding car with my skills only and drifting with it if I want. I use it on low effectiveness. Sometimes I turn it off.

DCS

Tooltip:
„The DCS monitors the acceleration vectors of car motion. On the basis of it DCS interferes to increase stability through the landing-carriage. DSC gives a better grip for wheels and decreases the possibilty of turnover.”

Explanation:
DSC gives a better grip for wheels and decreases the possibilty of turnover. It really don’t make nothing more.

Tip:
As I feel the DCS system doesn’t ruins my the driving experience just make the driving easier a little bit. I leave it at least 50%. So it depends on you how you use it.

AESP

Tooltip:
“AESP measures the angular velocity of course deviation. In case it differs from the normal it takes action: the AESP system electronically modifies torque on each wheel, decreases performance and if needed brakes the wheels in order to keep the wheels from spinning and sliding.”

Explanation:
I cannot tell you much more about it. It reduces the throttle in corners when the wheels started to slide. AESP enables slightly higher cornering speed but dramatically reduce oversteering and drifting. This helper reduce the chance of spinning too.

Tip:
AESP . Hm. I don’t like this. I like drifting anytime in any gamemode but this helpers don’t let me do this. I want to control. On the other hand this helper is very useful  in long and highspeed races or if you need some help to keep the control over your high class cars. I use it between 0%-50% but usually I turn it off (0%)

ABSA

Tooltip:
“The ABSA system monitors electronically the braking system. It works as an active security control to protect the car by preventing sliding in case of a dynamic braking and helps to keep the vehicle straight during braking. Another strong point of this system is that it tries to maintain stability via the braking system during turning. “

Explanation:
This helper increases the effectiveness of the brakes of your car but it automatically brakes when you are cornering. So you have better brakes but slower cornering speed and acceleration in corners.

Tip:
ABSA helper reduces your braking distance and it’s braking automatically in corners.  Better brakes are great and ABSA helps you to stay on the road when you arrived into the corner with too high speed. But it don’t let you increase your speed in corners because it brakes the sliding wheels imediately. I don’t really use it higher than 50% usually I  just turn it off. You have to find the right balance.

At last tell you again this feature have been made for HC sim fun players not for casuals or beginners.

I enjoy reading the information you provide especially in ASA, faster steering speed is useful when you are drifting.
