A specialisation in this area transforms the Pyromancer into an old-style Mage. He strikes his opponents with fire spells cast from long distances making their remaining lives a living hell.

Like last time, I’ll first of all be giving you a short and general introduction to the skill system:

  • Every time you level-up you will receive two skill points which you can distribute as you see fit
  • Rectangular skill symbols represent active skills
  • Circular skill symbols represent passive skills
  • Some skills can be compounded such as Flaming Fist (first row, first skill). The next skill directly underneath is Piercing Flames. To use Piercing Flames you must first have already invested a skill point in Flaming Fist. Additionally, your skill tier must be at least seven!
  • Skill tiers (right-hand green bar): In order to activate the lower-down skills you must first have invested skills there
  • All skill points invested in skill tiers count towards all three Pyromancer skill trees! This means that if you invest 13 skill points in your skill tiers, the Cinderblade and Coalsmasher skill trees will also be raised.

Flaming Fist


You shoot a stream of flames from your hand, causing fire damage.

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • 1 – 2 Fire damage
  • Mana cost: 0.5

Effect Rank 6:

  • 4 – 7 Fire damage
  • Mana cost: 0.8

Piercing Flames [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: Flaming Fist and a minimum of 7 Skill levels


Flaming Fist penetrates your opponents and causes damage to multiple enemy targets. They then experience a higher chance of combustion.

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • Flaming Fist penetrates targets
  • 10% higher chance of catching fire
  • Flaming Fist consumes +5% more mana

Effect Rank 6:

  • Flaming Fist penetrates targets
  • 40% higher chance of catching fire
  • Flaming Fist consumes +30% more mana

Flaming Fist Mastery [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Flaming Fist” and a minimum of 21 Skill levels


Increases the range and fire damage of Flaming Fist.

 

Maximum possible skill points: 8
Effect Rank 1:

  • 10% fire damage bonus
  • 20% increased range
  • Flaming Fist consumes +10% more mana

Effect Rank 8:

  • 150% fire damage bonus
  • 100% increased range
  • Flaming Fist consumes +80% more mana

Flaming Dart


You summon a small fiery flash which penetrates opponents in its path.

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • 2 – 4 fire damage
  • Mana cost: 1.0

Effect Rank 6:

  • 6 – 14 fire damage
  • Mana cost: 2.0

Dancing Flames [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Flaming Dart” and a minimum of 7 Skill levels


Flaming Dart rebounds off walls and other obstacles.

 

Maximum possible skill points: 8
Effect Rank 1:

  • 1 rebound
  • 1% fire damage bonus per rebound
  • 30% increased range
  • 15% fire damage bonus for Flaming Dart
  • Flaming Dart consumes +15% more mana

Effect Rank 8:

  • 5 rebounds
  • 60% fire damage bonus per rebound
  • 200% increased range
  • 70% fire damage bonus for Flaming Dart
  • Flaming Dart consumes +50% more mana

Burning Fragments [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Flaming Dart” and a minimum of 30 Skill levels


Flaming Darts split when they come into contact with an opponent.

 

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • 2 extra darts
  • 20% of main shot fire damage per additional dart
  • Flaming Dart consumes +5% more mana

Effect Rank 8:

  • 5 extra darts
  • 110% of main shot fire damage per additional dart
  • Flaming Dart consumes +35% more mana

Flame Serpents
Requires: a minimum of 3 Skill levels


You summon a cone of fiery serpents which moves of its own accord, causing damage to multiple opponents.

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • 4 – 9 fire damage on contact
  • Mana cost: 1.0

Effect Rank 6:

  • 9 – 14 fire damage on contact
  • Mana cost: 3.0

Serpent Volley [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Flame Serpents” and a minimum of 13 Skill levels


Raises the number of Flame Serpent shots and increases the chances that opponents catch fire.

 

Maximum possible skill points: 5
Effect Rank 1:

  • 1 extra shot (Flame Serpents)
  • 30% fire damage bonus
  • 10% higher chance of catching fire
  • Flame Serpents consume +5% more mana

Effect Rank 3:

  • 5 extra shots (Flame Serpents)
  • 70% fire damage bonus
  • 30% higher chance of catching fire
  • Flame Serpents consume +25% more mana

Blinding Adders [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Flame Serpents” and a minimum of 30 Skill levels


Increases the speed and range of Flame Serpents.

 

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • 10% increased range
  • 10% increased speed
  • 40% fire damage bonus
  • Flame Serpents consume +10% more mana

Effect Rank 3:

  • 100% increased range
  • 60% increased speed
  • 240% fire damage bonus
  • Flame Serpents consume +100% more mana

Space Divider
Requires: a minimum of 3 Skill levels


Flame Masters can sunder space at will and move about within divided space- Speed and Distance vary according to skill level.

Maximum possible skill points: 3
Effect Rank 1:

  • Travel up to 6 metres at a speed of 250%
  • Mana cost: 5.0
  • Cooldown: 3 seconds

Effect Rank 3:

  • Travel up to 12 metres at a speed of 600%
  • Mana cost: 15.0
  • Cooldown: 2 seconds

Ignite
Requires: a minimum of 3 skill levels


Whenever you inflict fire damage, there is a chance that your opponent will ignite into flames, causing further damage over a period of time.

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • 10% chance of ignition

Effect Rank 6:

  • 60% chance of ignition

Conflagration [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Ignite” and a minimum of 21 skill levels


Ignited opponents explode upon death, causing damage to nearby opponents.

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • 25-35 damage points per explosion
  • 2-metre damage radius

Effect Rank 6:

  • 60-80 damage points per explosion
  • 4-metre damage radius

Restorative Flames
Requires: a minimum of 3 skill levels


Raises mana regeneration.

Maximum possible skill points: 5
Effect Rank 1:

  • 10% higher mana regeneration

Effect Rank 5:

  • 26% higher mana regeneration

Meteor
Requires: a minimum of 7 skill levels


You summon a flaming ball of stone which explodes upon impact, causing damage to nearby opponents.

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • 18-22 fire damage points on impact
  • 2-metre damage radius
  • Mana cost: 3.0
  • Cool-down: 1.5 seconds

Effect Rank 6:

  • 35-40 fire damage points on impact
  • 2-metre damage radius
  • Mana cost: 8.0
  • Cool-down: 1.2 seconds

Meteor Nova [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Meteor” and a minimum of 21 skill levels


The meteor explodes into a hail of burning fragments on impact.

Maximum possible skill points: 6
Effect Rank 1:

  • 3 fragments
  • 15% meteor damage points per fragment
  • Meteor consumes 5% more mana

Effect Rank 6:

  • 13 fragments
  • 50% meteor damage points per fragment
  • Meteor consumes 30% more mana

Detonation [Consecutive Skill]
Requires: “Meteor” and a minimum of 30 skill levels


Increases the fire damage and the damage radius of Meteor. Also reduces the cool-down and mana cost.

Maximum possible skill points: 8
Effect Rank 1:

  • 10% fire damage bonus
  • Meteor consumes 5% more mana
  • 10% shorter cool-down
  • 10% chance of ignition
  • 25% greater damage radius

Effect Rank 8:

  • 200% fire damage bonus
  • Meteor consumes 40% more mana
  • 60% shorter cool-down
  • 50% chance of ignition
  • 200% greater damage radius

Fanning the Flames
Requires: a minimum of 13 skill levels


Reduces opponent’s fire resistance and increases fire damage inflicted on opponent.

Maximum possible skill points: 10
Effect Rank 1:

  • 35% increased vulnerability to fire per strike

Effect Rank 10:

  • 70% increased vulnerability to fire per strike

Requires: a minimum of 30 skill levels


Your life is reduced, but your magic damage is increased.

Maximum possible skill points: 10
Effect Rank 1:

  • 60% damage bonus
  • Reduces HP by 50%
  • Cool-down: 5.0 seconds

Effect Rank 10:

  • 150% damage bonus
  • Reduces HP by 50%
  • Cool-down: 5.0 seconds
