1. What is Gnome Town?

Gnome Town is an exciting new adventure game only available on Facebook! It’s time to leave the city behind and rejoin the Gnomes of the Enchanted Forest. Meet the Wise Old Gnome who needs your help to stop the Evil Gnome from terrorizing the entire forest. Save forest critters! Defeat the Evil Gnome! Build a Gnome Town!

2. How do I contact support for Gnome Town?

To contact support you will need to be logged in to a Playdom.com account. Once you are logged in, simply click the ‘Contact Us’ button that appears above. This will take you to a page where you can fill out all necessary information required for your support inquiry.

3. How do I get more Gold Bars in Gnome Town?

All players will receive Gold Bars for certain milestones in the game, like by gaining levels. These are the only times when Gold Bars will be given to players while playing. The only other methods for obtaining Gold Bars can be found on the Add Gold tab and include Surveys, Offers and Direct Payments, in addition to the other options listed.

4. What is Food and how do you get more in Gnome Town?

You can harvest food from crops and bushes in the game – the longer the harvest time, the more food you will get! You can also find ponds in the enchanted forest and fish them for some food too!

5. What is Wood and how do you get more in Gnome Town?

Wood in Gnome Town is used to construct buildings in your town. To get more Wood, find Mushrooms in your section of the Enchanted Forest and chop them down.

6. What are Machetes and how do you get more in Gnome Town?

Machetes in Gnome Town are needed to explore more of the Enchanted Forest. You only have a limited number of Machetes, so explore wisely! If you run out, though, you can buy more Machetes with Gold Bars by clicking on the plus sign next to the Machetes Icon at the top right corner of the game screen.

7. What are Collections in Gnome Town?

Collections allow you to gather specific items in the game and exchange them for better rewards. Collection items can be found through numerous actions in the game, so always keep your eyes open for any special items that drop when playing!

8. What are Gnomespeditions in Gnome Town?

Gnomespeditions are a part of the game that allows you to interact with other players to earn gold, food or experience. Successful interactions will be counted as wins, while unsuccessful interactions will be counted as losses. These wins and losses will be added to your record and will determine your ranking amongst all of the other players in the Enchanted Forest. To view the top gnomes and to challenge others to interactions, simply click on the Gnomespeditions tab (the icon that resembles two gnome hats) at the bottom right corner of the game.

9. How do I Build, Move, Rotate, Sell and Store items in Gnome Town?

To build an item in Gnome Town, click on the ‘Market’ tab at the bottom right corner of the game. This will open a window that includes all of the different types of items you can build (Crops, Bushes, Creatures, Decorations, Buildings & Special Items). Select the type of item you want to build by clicking on the item’s price, and then place the item on any open space.
To move or rotate an item, click on the large Arrow Icon at the bottom right corner of the game just above the ‘Market’ tab. This will display a few different options, which include the move and rotate tools. When you select either tool, simply click on an item immediately afterward and rotate or move it to the position that you wish.
To sell or store an item, again click on the large Arrow Icon at the bottom right corner of the game just above the ‘Market’ tab. This will display all of the options again, which include the sell and store options. When you select either tool, you will then be able to click on whichever item you wish to sell or place in storage. Please remember that when you sell something, it cannot be undone. Storing an item will place it in storage, which you can access at any time by clicking on the ‘My Stuff’ tab at the bottom right corner of the game (the icon that looks like a bag). Your items will be kept within the Inventory of the My Stuff section.

10. What is XP in Gnome Town?

XP stands for Experience Points. You will need to earn XP in order to gain levels. XP can be earned from harvesting crops, completing quests and caring for animals. Gaining new levels unlocks new items that you can place in the forest!

11. What are the benefits of visiting Neighbors in Gnome Town?

You can visit your neighbors once a day to earn Silver Coins, XP, and Energy. Please note that you do not receive Gold Bars for visiting neighbors.

12. Why isn’t an item counting toward my Quest in Gnome Town?

Some quests that appear will ask you to add items to the forest that you may have already added. It is possible that any items you added before the quest appeared will not be counted toward the quest. In this case, you will need to purchase the requested number of those items again before the quest will be completed.

13. How do I go to Full Screen mode in Gnome Town?

Getting to Full Screen is easy! Simply click on the ‘More Options’ button near the top right corner of the game just under your Silver Coin and Gold Bar balance. When the ‘More Options’ section opens, click on the last button on the far right labeled ‘Toggle Fullscreen’. If you have any problems running the game in full screen, you can also turn most animations off by clicking on the ‘Toggle Quality’ button just to the left of the ‘Toggle Fullscreen’ button for maximum results.

14. How do I turn off the sound/music in Gnome Town?

Turning off music and sound is easy! Simply click on the ‘More Options’ button near the top right corner of the game just under your Silver Coin and Gold Bar balance. When the ‘More Options’ section opens, click on the ‘Toggle Music’ to turn off the game’s music and ‘Toggle Sound’ to turn off the game’s sound effects. If you would like to turn them back on, you can enter the ‘More Options’ section at any time to toggle the options back on.

15. How do I change the name of my town in Gnome Town?

To change the name of your town, simply click on the ‘Info’ box located under your town name at the top left corner of the game. Once the ‘Info’ box loads, you will see the ability to change the name of your town. Select a new name and click on the button to save the changes.

16. How do I view all of my stats in Gnome Town?

To view all of your important stats, such as Total Wood & Food Harvested, Gnomespedition Wins & Losses, Total Silver Earned and more, simply click on the ‘Info’ box located just under your Gnome Town name at the top left of the game. Also included in this section is the ability to change the name of your town!

17. How do I start over in Gnome Town?

Unfortunately there is no way to completely start over from scratch in Gnome Town. You can store all of your items from the forest to rearrange your entire section of the forest, but there is no way to reset all of the storyline parts or quests.

18. What is the Messages tab for in Gnome Town?

When you click on the ‘Messages’ tab at the top of the game, the Message Center will pop up. This center allows you to easily accept invites and gifts in one quick and easy location.

19. How do I convert Silver Coins to Gold Bars in Gnome Town?

At this time there is no way to convert Silver Coins into Gold Bars, and it is not likely that this ability will be added. Please note that Gold Bars are the primary means for generating the money required to keep the game up and running, so it is important to keep the current methods of obtaining Gold Bars.

How to Play

STEP 1: EXPLORE

Use machete’s to explore the Enchanted Forest. Keep an eye out for trapped forest critters, and renewable resources that will be beneficial to your thriving Gnome Town.

Be sure to clear your land along the way to get resources for your thriving town.

STEP 2: BUILD & DECORATE

Using resources you’ve acquired while exploring the forest, build a home for yourself to keep you and the forest critters safe and happy. Keep on building up your town to entice your friends from the suburbs to join your forest family.

Be sure to plant and harvest crops to nurture your forest critters. When they are well fed they will help you build your town faster.

You probably know already but Gnomes are very social creatures. Build your town a tavern as soon as possible so that you can invite gnomes over from other towns.
