Luna Online Plus Rune Knight Guide by shinarashi

Alright this guide goes along with the job changing of Rune Knight Class i not going to post the 4th stage job changing quest first.
Updating in process…..
This build is a fully pure Tank
All your stats just add to Vit.
Fighter -> Guard -> Infantryman -> RuneKnight
Questions of RuneKnight :
Q : What is a RuneKnight compared to other 4th stage classes?
A : When compared to a Knight, RuneKnight is sort of a “Paladin” more to the side
of magic

Q : Whats good about this class ?
A : By using both nature’s power and elf’s power, RuneKnight has awesome buff skills
that is very useful to the party. In addition there is magic defensive skill and mp buff skills.

One Handed Semi-Tanker and Quarter-Damage Dealer on Single Target

This is another build but this build is for people who likes to tank and do damage
Main Objective of this build is not PvE but for GvG and PvP
From Lvl 1 to 20 (Fighter to Warrior)
Crash Blow – Lvl 5
Attract – Lvl 1
Fighter Heart – Lvl 1
Nature’s Shield – Lvl 1
Two hand Training – Lvl 5
Enhanced Hp – Lvl 5
Burning Rage – Lvl 1

The 2 tier class should be “Warrior” not “Guard”
For Elf, choosing Warrior is the only chance you can learn “Risk taker” which give you increase 23% attack power bonus if your HP is below 20%…. The trick is fight until HP drop then activate shield barrier >>> make you receive only 1/4 damage with 23% attack power boost!!!! but take note DoT type damage is not REDUCED by shield barrier and also when shield barrier is activated your speed is reduced greatly about 70 or 80%.

2. At Infantryman use 1 SP to “BloodLeak” skill which boost your HP regen when your HP drop below 20%… same as above.. this change the tide of PVP when combine with shield barrier. But for me i don’t think it is of any use since the hp regeneration is not much

3. I prefer a “Two handed / shield” style than pure one handed.
Pros 1) At rune knight your got 3 stun skill while one handed have 2. 2) 1H runeknight has a hard time killing pure defense class like Phalanx / Inquirror (VIT) while 2H can deal with them, dont forget this build is to maximize PVP capability first.
Cons: Always lose PVP when you were Infantryman (lvl 40-75)
How to use both two handed weapon and shield.
1) Take Two-handed training instead of One-handed training
2) Max Crash blow at Warrior class to level 10, take one level of body shake, take 5 level of upper swing.
Crash > Body > pause 0.5s > Crash > Upper > pause 0.5s > Crash > Body…
Use this attack skill until you reach level 75 when you train alone. This safe tons of your mana, and no mob can reduce your HP even without shield since your main stat is VIT if you fight them one by one. While training alone don’t forget to spam megaphone to find party. It’s faster, cheaper and more fun.
3) Take mace protection, solid shield, shield training, Heavy armor exp, Blessing guard, Troopership, Enhanced HP, Circle of attract (lvl 1) >>> These skills use when u train in party, spam circle of attract only… no other skill needed… no need to help them attack. Shield barrier will take only if u needed to PVP… but be sure to take it before u reach lvl 75. Equip a level 1 mace when you train in party… you need it to enable mace protection skill but 2H sword is your main weapon.
4) When you reach runeknight… playing the same style… maximum two handed offensive skills and shield defensive skills, but not 1H offensive skills. You will have 3 stun skill now “Earthquake”, “Crashblow”, and “Rune impact”. This style you needed to practice weapon switching by hotkey to maximize the potential. You needed to equip shield before able to enable shield barrier. Equipped the shield until u able to sleep your opponent, then you have 20 sec to witch wepon to 2H and start chain stun of yur 3 skill until they fall.

RUNE KNIGHT USED TO BE BEST IN PVP IN PRE-REBIRTH PATCH ESP PURE VIT BUILD. EVEN 1H SOMETIMES GOT DRAW BUT THEY WON’T FALL EASILY. BUT AFTER REBIRTH PATCH APPLY THEY WILL LOSE TO PHALANX AND BISHOP (MAY BE WARLOCK WHO WERE PASS PRIEST TOO) (I won’t mention to tier 5 class, skills will be too complex due to the different path they can pass before being tier 5 job)

Here is the detail, RuneKnight can’t maximize magical power. The skill you got from infantryman may make you confuse, since it will be available even you were changed to RuneKnight already.

For Skills
For the offensive skill of Fighter (0-20)
=================================
Every skill is Physical attack power base (STR base)

For the offensive skill of Guard (20-40)
=================================
Every skill is Physical attack power base (STR base)

For the offensive skill of Warrior (20-40)
=================================
Every skill is Physical attack power base (STR base)

For the offensive skill of infantry man (40-75)
=================================
Physical attack power base (STR base):
DoubleStrike (DOT is armor neglect and also not increase as physical power increase)
CrossSlashing
BloodySky
BluntShield (Stun)
ShieldEdge

Magical Attack power base:
Holy Strike
Holy avenger (Reduce you HP to cast, painful for non VIT build)
Heal

For the offensive skill of RuneKnight (40-75)
=================================
Physical attack power base (STR base):
RuneImpact (stun) (Magical = Always hit, but use physical attack power)
SonicBoom (Range, sword only)
DoubleStrike (DOT is armor neglect and also not increase as physical power increase)
CrossSlashing
BloodySky
BluntShield (Stun)
ShieldEdge
BurningCrash (Stun) (2H)
Earthquake (Stun) (2H)
BleedingBlow (DOT is armor neglect and also not increase as physical power increase)

Magical Attack power base:
SpiritAid (Healing type, Sword only)

RuneImpact is unique skill in game. It deal a magical-like damage, I mean always hit only have the chance to get half damage but can’t be evaded, but it use physical attack power to perform. This skill make any rogue cry. It stun for about 6 sec while it’s cooldown is only 5 sec.

    @Gaza
    As I’m reading it, one build is for PvE (Guard), the other is more Guild/PvP (Warrior).

    This is the only general difference.
