Hi, I am 0utlaw, and this is a Guide to help those who want to become a Rogue.
Whether attacking from the distance using bows (and later, guns even!) or close up and personal, feeling the blood of the slain on your cold dagger. Rogue is widely considered to be one of, if not, the best classes in luna. From insane 1v1, to insane aoe’ing. Even in guild wars, rogues of all sorts become invaluable.

This will just be a basic display of which race goes to which classes, including both dagger and bow, as well as human and elf, here we go :

For Elf (Dagger) :
Rogue -> Ruffian -> Scout -> Treasure Hunter/Rune Walker -> Entrapper/Temper Master

For Elf (Bow)
Rogue -> Voyager -> Archer/Scout -> Ranger/Treasure Hunter -> Arch Ranger

This is more of a Recommended skill guide with descriptions, I won’t detail every skill, I can just detail the ones that are mostly (Or At least in my opinion should be) used..

Ruffian:

Dusk Slashing (Max) [Does dmg with a chance of bleeding.]

Rage Step (At least 1 point into) [Does low dmg with a chance of stunning.]

Wind Breaking (MAX! MAX! MAX! THIS FRIGGEN SKILL!) [AoE, as an elf, this will be your absolute ONLY AoE for a very long time.]

Perforate (At least 1 point) [It does very good dmg, no debuff other than frequent one hit kills.]

Ruffian:

Zephyr (Good skill worth maxing) [Increases Dex stat by 10, useful for any skill build.]

Blind Sight (Max) [Increases crit chance.]

Eagle eye (I personally maxed it, every little bit helps) [Increases hit rate]

Light Armor Expertise (Max for the extra defense {This is my personal opinion to this skill, all aside, its not to useful unless you plan to max it, even then the defense buff isnt to good, I still maxed it anyways.}) [Adds defense]

Quick Move (If you want a good speed buff, get this and max it.) [increases speed for 1-6 minutes.]

Detect Hole(Max) [Self buff to increase critical rating.]

Light Evasion (I personally maxed this as well) [Increases Eva while wearing Light Armor.]

Dagger Training (Seriously MAX THIS SKILL!!!) [Increases dmg and attack speed.]

Shadow instinct (Max) [Increases Eva while using daggers.]

Diabolic Instinct (Max) [Increases Critical hit DMG.]

Burning Rage {Human only} (Max it or don’t get it at all.) [Increases dmg while draining HP.]

Nature Shield {Elf only} (Max it or don’t get it at all.) [Increases defense while draining MP.]

Thief {Human only}:

Rapid Slashing (Max) [May cause bleeding AND lower Enemies defense, requires lvl 10 dusk slashing.]

Sudden Raid (Optional) [A very good 1v1 skill for pvp, due to mp cost and cast time {I think} this would not be useful for 1v1 lvling….another attack with a chance at stunning.]

Stealth (Max) [Makes you invisible, the pvpers worst nightmare, and the thieves best friend, Recent feedback has brought this to my attention, and it remains the same, I do however need some information about what the changes are between lvl 1 and lvl 2, feedback please.]

Death Sign (Max) [Increases crit dmg.]

Lace (Optional) [Increases HP recovery but drains MP.]

Nature Aid (5 Is my recommended investment. [heals your own hp.]

Whispering Wind (At least 1 point into) [Increases TEAM/PARTY Crit rate.]

Side Step (At least 1 point into) [Increases eva can be used on others.]

Final Blow (At least 1 point) [VERY powerful single attack skill.]

Voyager:

Power Shot (I personally maxed this spell, with a high mp regen, this is the ultimate spammable skill imo) [Single Target attack, no debuff, very spammable. {cast over and over VERY fast.}]

Needle Shot (I didn’t invest a single point into this skill, close range…) [Close range single target skill, may cause bleeding and lower enemies attack, required lvl 10 for piercing shot.]

Hamstring(decent skill, slows enemy, I think its awesome for a 1v1 bow user) [single target skill that has a chance at lowering enemys movement speed]

Pounding shot(same position as hamstring, decent for 1v1 or in pvp) [single target skill that has a chance at stunning enemy]

Double Shot (From what I have seen personally, MAX this) [Hits the enemy 2 times for decent dmg.]

Piercing Arrow (Decent 1v1 skill) [Lowers enemies attack (both magic and phys) and a chance for bleeding, single target skill.]

Ice Raining (Max this, sweet AoE) [AoE attack that may lower movement speed of those hit.]

This is the Stat (not really a guide) Guide by istabu.

My personal belief is any pure class is going to end up being a failure in the later lvls…
Simple because you are leaving other, valuable stats out in the rain. I endorse hybrid stat (NOT skill builds) for the fact that in later lvls, your armor will give you bonus to overshadow most of your stats, so think ahed and start spreading stat points over what you think the armor WONT cover…feedback will always be nice…

But, I guess I can go into detail of the builds and which playstyle they seem to fit best…

Stat Builds according to Playstyles:

Pure Str : A robotic build, it seems as though almost any high lvl will endorse this stat, minus high lvl mages. From my reading and observations in game, this build tends to be towards those who want to kill fast, and in game, That translates into killing fast or you getting killed faster…For a Rogue I would suppose with those beautiful passives and buffs that Pure str is a decent build to go with, Eva, combined with the shields block rate, that should allow plenty of defense so IF you get hit before killing the other mob, they won’t OHKO you. (One Hit Knock Out). ~~~ {After making a Pure str archer, I firmly endorse this stat for archers.}

Pure Dex : A often used build, even with my favorite stat being a pure, it can turn from love to absolute hatred. It is nice almost never getting hit, I would know, But it can really be a pain having to rely on almost nothing but Wind Breaking and Perforate as your main PVE skills…I Have seen pure dex’s getting killing VERY easily in pvp, but I guess pvp in general depends on your stat build, skill build, and your experience with those 2 combined…other than those, it can be a great build for solo-aoeing, as can be Pure Str, but Pure dex is a more flexible solo-tanking build in my opinion. Simple because the extra Eva combined with the block rate of a shield can allow you to mob for longer periods, with pure str you have to hope and pray that your AoE hits everything, if it doesn’t, get ready to start kitting. (Hit and run.)

Pure Vit : I have no real information on this aside from it being a decent pvp build, plenty of hp is always nice, but my hp is on par with pure vits even though I am a hybrid stat build..so that should be enough to tell you that this build isn’t exactly a wise choice….that was a comparison from my lvl 46 scout to istabu’s lvl 44 pure vit rogue.

Pure Intel/Wis : I honestly don’t need to even write a con/con list about this do I ? sure having mp is cool, but being dead around every corner sucks…don’t even bother. =/

-2 STR, 1 DEX : An understandable decent hybrid build, something I MUST STRESS is that WHICHEVER stat gets 2 points, you HAVE to cap that off at 100 points, then go pure on the stat which only gets one point, it WILL even itself out in the later lvls..

-2 STR, 1 VIT : Eh more of a tankers build, if you are wanting to tank, go with this and plenty of eva buffs

-2 DEX, 1 STR : Ah my build, capped 100 dex, fantastic evasion, fantastic hit rate, fantastic crit rate….plenty of dmg comes in once you hit 100 dex…I havnt personally had any real issues with this build. I am not going to call it the perfect build, but I use it for just all around bad-assery. Decent in pvp, awesome solo-aoe, awesome small team tank, self supported thanks to nature aid…If anyone finds a flaw in this build, please do tell me, and I can find a solution ^.~

-2 DEX, 1 VIT : I have yet to try this build, purely because I can practically sniff failure on it…I suppose its play style would lean more towards the tanking spot, so you could try that…I have yet to really try and fully test this build…and I honestly don’t plan to…anyone else who wants to test it out to the fullest extent by all means do so, I will include your words and your name to show that you helped build this guide

-2 VIT, 1 STR : Plenty of HP and dmg, more of the AoE’s style of build, kill quickly and IF you draw the aggro, your hp will go down, but [hopefully] not all the way down…I have yet to test this build as well

-2 VIT, 1 DEX : As with the last 2 builds, I have yet to test this one, and the testing spot is open for it. Test it, get a decent little guide wrote, and I will put it in this very spot along with your name as a sort of reward.

Leveling Section

The Ultimate way of lvling for 1-50 would be quest, DO every quest you have as many times as you can, extra exp is always nice, plus most quest give fairly decent gold…But I will include places to grind in for certain lvls for those who dislike questing and would prefer to just purely grind:
