Elsword Online Party/ Soloing Dungeons Pros and Cons by MOD Riken

In-Depth Explanation (Exp/ED gain)

The following has been gathered for mere examples; when comparing side-by-side the Solo and Party Exp and ED gain per monster.

Solo Examples:

Kayak The Shaman (Dragon Nest -Very Hard-) Exp given = 4,284 + (COBO Weapon bonus of +5% Exp) 204
broken down into = 4,284 + 204 = 4,484 exp
Dark Berauk (Dragon Nest -Very Hard-) Exp given = 1,428 + (COBO Weapon bonus of +5% Exp) 68
broken down into= 1,428 + 68 = 1,496 exp

ED gain = 538 + (COBO Weapon bonus of +5% ED) 25
broken down into= 538 + 25 = 563 ED

Party Examples:

Kayak The Shaman (Dragon Nest -Very Hard-) Exp given = 2,710 + (Party bonus) 1,427 + (COBO Weapon bonus of +5% Exp) 263
broken down into 2,710 + 1,427 + 263 = 4,400 exp Dark Berauk (Dragon Nest – Very Hard-) Exp given = 896 + (Party bonus) 475 + (COBO Weapon Bonus of +5% Exp) 81
broken down into 896 + 475 + 81 = 1,452 exp

ED gain = 133 ED + (COBO Weapon bonus of +5% ED) 6
broken down into 133 + 6 = 139 ED

-Comparing both-

When the party exp of the monster is divided by the exp you can obtain from that same monster when soloing, you will obtain the difference. (If you don’t believe me in the numbers, try it out in your own calculator)

Example 1 (Dark Berauk):

896/1,428 = 0.62745~, which is about 0.63 which in percentage would be 63% = (0.63 x 100)

So, in a party of 4, you will be getting 63% of the monster’s exp. If this was true then let’s look at another example.

(Party Bonus)

475/1,428 = 0.33263~ which is about 0.33 and in percentage is 33%

-ED gain-

538 ED (Solo)   133 ED (Party)

133/538 = 0.24721~, which is about 0.25 and in percentage is 25% (without the 5% added)

Example 2 (Kayak the Shaman):

2,710/4,284 = 0.63258~, which is about 0.63 when rounded and in percentage that would be
0.63 X 100 = 63%

(Party Bonus)

1,427/4,284 = 0.33309~, which is about 0.33 when rounded and in percentage comes out to 33%

63% + 33% = 96% of the exp compared to soloing.

When comparing one monster’s ED/Exp gain in a party or solo the difference doesn’t seem that huge. So let us look at the two result screens I posted above. I’ll show them once more below.

Solo:

Total ED Obtained = 48,409
Total Exp Obtained = 48,693

Party:

Uploads/Images/165592db-01dd-4e8e-8d42-637c.jpg

Total ED obtained = 17,054
Total Exp obtained = 34,531

Comparing both:

-Total ED-
17,054/ 48,409 = 0.35228~ in percentage that is 35%

-Total Exp-
34,532/48,693 = 0.70917~ in percentage that is 70%

—–

So, when you have a party of 4 people you will be gaining 35% of the total amount of ED, compared to when Soloing and
about 70% of the exp as opposed to when you solo.

We are still in the Closed Beta Testing Phase, so we can’t exactly compare stamina usage. I will say this though. When I solo Dragon Nest -Very Hard- I use up about 6-7% stamina per run. In a party of 4, stamina was depleted by 5%.

Is it worth the stamina? Is it worth partying? That’s for you to decide.  Hopefully we’ll get better results as far as stamina goes in Open Beta Testing. Happy Dungeon-Crawling everyone!
