So many newcomers have been asking, what exactly is a Guild and how does it work?Hopefully this little guide can help answer some of those questions!

WHAT IS A GUILD?Guilds right now are mainly a social experience. It gives you that fun little name underneath your character name. It allows you to use the guild chat, and generally meet new people. It often makes partying a lot easier and you will find that your guild can help you if you are in a rough spot. It also allows you to use the little red flag at the bottom of your chat box to talk to other guild members. This means you can talk to them no matter how far away they are!

HOW DO I JOIN OR CREATE A GUILD?

To join a guild you must have the creator of the guild invite you. Do not worry, there are plenty of guilds, and if you look around you are sure to find someone inviting people. In order to create a guild you must be in a party with at least four members, and 3 of them must accept the guild invite. You type in /gcreate and then the guilds name. For any help on Guild Commands, type in /ghelp.

HOW CAN I TELL WHAT GUILD OTHERS ARE IN?

See the little name underneath a person’s name? That’s the guild they belong to!

I HAVE JOINED A GUILD, NOW WHAT?

Well first off, introduce yourself! Go over to that little red flag mentioned earlier and say hello! Meeting people is a great way to get farther in the game as some places need more than one person to get through. It makes it much easier to party with people if you know them!

I WANT TO LEAVE MY GUILD, HOW DO I DO THIS?

Easy! Simply type in /gleave and you will be out of the guild.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH GUILD IS BEST?

Now this is a tough question. It truly depends on the people. There are certain guilds that are more popular than others, but this doesn’t mean they are the “best” for you. The best guild is the one you enjoy talking to the people and interacting with.
